Job description

This is a new position and a great opportunity to help lead a well-respected national charity, dedicated to making lives better for people with eczema and their families. The post-holder will work closely with, and deputise for, the Society’s chief executive Andrew Proctor.

National Eczema Society is a relatively small and agile organisation. We punch above our weight with four staff and have an ambitious strategy for growth, to maximise the impact of our work, expand our services and increase the number of people we support. You’ll have the opportunity to get involved in all aspects of the charity’s work, and will personally lead our income generation work and some exciting development projects.

The Society relies on voluntary donations to fund its work providing information and advice about eczema through our helpline, website, social media posts and other communications. We also provide a collective voice for people with eczema, raising awareness, supporting research into new treatments and campaigning for better medical care.

You will need some solid fundraising experience and skills to lead our income generation, and a willingness to turn your hand to a wide range of other things. An interest in digital is really important.

The role will suit someone who is proactive and enjoys variety, and has the confidence to use their own initiative. You’re also likely to be motivated by the opportunity to develop your leadership skills and experience.

We are passionate about improving the quality of life for people with eczema and raising awareness of the condition. You would join our small, friendly team based at the charity’s office in Camden, north London. There is flexibility to split hours between office/home.
