Job Purpose:
The post holder will play a pivotal role in the strategic and operational development of the charity with particular responsibility for grant awarding functions to ensure they are carried out efficiently, effectively and in line with our charitable objectives and values.
A senior leadership team member, this role will lead Alder Hey Children’s Charity’s grant awarding process, develop multi-year strategies with a focus on long term funding priorities & achieving the charity’s purpose and demonstrating our impact.
They will build strategic relationships with key members of the Trust and other charities with a focus on partnership working to maximise the impact of funding and meet the Charity & Trust ambitions. They will lead on the development and implementation of a framework to demonstrate our impact.
Main Duties/Tasks
Strategic Planning, Financial Management & Reporting
Lead on the development and implementation of strategic, multi-year plans and budgets, identify upcoming funding requirements.
Monitor progress against strategic plans, budgets, KPIs, producing reports.
Develop and implement a framework for demonstrating our charitable impact across the charity funding pillars.
Build strategic partnerships internally and externally to support funding priorities and maximise our impact.
Attend the Charitable Spending Committee and Board meetings.
Grant Applications, Awards & Reporting
Oversee and develop the grant process, ensuring it aligns with the charitable spending strategy, provides detailed, relevant information and monitors performance.
Manage the grant award process, ensuring that applications are reviewed and approved in line with the agreed authority levels, ensuring that papers are appropriate for the Charitable Spending Committee and Board review.
Maintain and update the grant Terms & Conditions.
Provide leadership and direction to the Grants Manager, empowering them & the team to deliver against set goals and objectives.
Communication & Relationships
Lead on the development of an internal communications plan, promoting both the opportunities available to apply for Charitable Funding within the Trust and the impact of projects that have been funded by the Charity. Promote the work of the Charity throughout the Trust and with funders.
Develop relationships with the Charitable Spending Committee.
Develop key relationships throughout the Trust that support the grant award and reporting process.
To build and manage key relationships with existing partners.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with the Finance Team, working together to provide a smooth process.
Lead on internal liaison to ensure that fundraising teams have the information they need to report back to funders and donors on how their donations have made a vital difference.
Lead on providing and co-ordinating information to the Head of Marketing for the yearly impact report and Annual Report for the Financial Statements.
Innovation & Development
Be the lead specialist in grant awarding and maintain strong knowledge of relevant legislation and good practice.
Work with the database manager to develop the use of the CRM system with the grants team to maximise efficiency.
Work with the database manager to develop a framework for impact reporting that links to our CRM system.
Other Duties
Be an outstanding advocate for Alder Hey Children’s Charity in line with the core values of the organisation.
Be an active and supportive member of the Alder Hey Children’s Charity team, contributing to the team’s development and working collaboratively with colleagues and volunteers.
Attend and support on events run by the fundraising teams where required.

ROLE
Stella Maris is growing as a charity, in terms of income generation and new programmes of activity around the world. To help support this development, we have created this new important role. The Fundraising & Communications team at Stella Maris comprises about 12 staff members (some full time; some part time). The team and the charity have now reached the point in their evolution where we need to appoint a Major Donor Manager. This post holder will offer excellent stewardship to our existing Major Donors. He/she will also help to identify and cultivate new potential Major Donors from within and outside our existing pool of individual donors. He/she will substantially grow the Major Donor income stream for the charity. He/she will cultivate and steward Major Donors to give in new and more impactful ways, will increase giving levels, will increase the number of Major Donors, and will create lasting and meaningful relationships with our most committed and generous supporters. MAIN PURPOSE
The Major Donor Manager, reporting into the Director of Development and working with some guidance from the Head of Major Gifts, will maintain and grow a stable pipeline of income from Major Donors. He/she will secure unrestricted and restricted income from a portfolio of Major Donors to support the activities of the Stella Maris network in the UK and overseas. He/she will produce cultivation plans for individual Major Donors, meet them, craft tailored applications and reports for them.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1 Manage relationships with a portfolio of Major Donors in accordance with the Charities fundraising strategy and giving programme activity.
2 Establish individual donor cultivation, engagement and stewardship strategies, ensuring each prospect and existing donor has an appropriate communications and cultivation programme in place.
3 Ensure that donor profiling and research activity is undertaken on existing and potential Major Donors (within data protection regulation guidelines) in order to enhance and develop relations.
4 Identify potential Major Donors from within the Mid-Value Donor portfolio and help graduate them up to Major Donor giving levels.
5 Working with the Governance and Executive team, conduct meetings and visits with individual Major Donors around the UK.
6 Accompany Major Donors on port visits within the UK and possibly abroad.
7 Craft carefully tailored applications, thank you letters and reports for Major Donors.
8 Support other senior staff and stakeholders, such as Trustees, in cultivating relationships with Major Donors by providing research and other information as required, and bringing them to meetings with Major Donors when appropriate.
9 Build and cultivate relationships with intermediaries, e.g. wealth advisers, lawyers.
10 Arrange events for Major Donors.
11 Ensure that all activity is recorded accurately on the charity’s Customer Relationship Management database, and that actions are undertaken in a timely and professional manner.
12 Extract monthly reports on activity levels with Major Donors, e.g. number of contacts, meetings, asks, etc., and circulate this internally to selected senior staff members.

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
As the Senior Grants Executive, you will be responsible for delivering income from a range of donors and prospects, with a focus on trusts and foundations, through the overall management and growth of a successful grants pipeline. We are looking for an ambitious fundraiser who thrives working in a collaborative team and who enjoys inspiring funders to support the Helen Bamber Foundation. You will be part of a Fundraising and Communications Team that has a successful track record of securing income and you will help to further grow the organisation.
You will be managed by our Grants Manager and work closely with the Head of Fundraising and will be responsible for delivering high quality applications and reports to small and medium sized Trusts and Foundations as well as supporting larger donors in collaboration with your team members. AFSG Coordinator Role Description
The Academic Forum for the Study of Gambling (AFSG) is seeking a Coordinator to support organisational sustainability, membership, and outreach activities. This is a one-year contract position with the possibility of extension. The salary available ranges between £30,000 and £40,000 depending on experience, qualifications, and time commitment. This is a part-time (between 2 and 4 days a week, to be agreed upon with the successful applicant), remote working position, and the applicant must be based somewhere in the United Kingdom.
The AFSG Coordinator will report to the AFSG Executive Committee and will work closely with Greo Evidence Insights (Greo), the organisation that provides administrative and logistical support to the AFSG. The Coordinator will work independently on the tasks outlined below and will be required to attend meetings of the AFSG to provide regular progress updates.
Responsibilities:
AFSG planning and sustainability.
The Coordinator will be responsible for:
- Developing and enacting a sustainability plan to establish the AFSG as an independent formal, registered charity, not-for-profit, or similar appropriate entity. This could include, but is not limited to the following activities:
- researching possible organisational structures including liaising with other academic societies/membership bodies to gain understanding of their operations, infrastructure, articles of incorporation and funding structures;
- proposing an organisational structure that would support AFSG sustainability goals;
- connecting with professionals and services necessary to implement a sustainability plan; and recruiting trustees (if applicable).
Network growth and promotion.
The Coordinator will be responsible for:
- promoting and raising the profile of the AFSG; developing and implementing a communications strategy to increase engagement with the AFSG;
- creating, writing, sharing, and engaging with relevant content via AFSG social media channels;
- managing (i.e., formatting, maintaining distribution list, and disseminating) an AFSG newsletter or other equivalent communication project;
- seeking opportunities to promote the AFSG and AFSG funding opportunities in appropriate locations such as academic journals or research databases; managing all membership communications;
- assessing and proposing other appropriate knowledge translation opportunities and activities for the AFSG;
- supporting other AFSG activities, projects, and initiatives that may arise, as they relate to membership relations, communications, and outreach;
- and maintaining and updating the AFSG website.
Mobilisation of funded research projects.
The Coordinator will be responsible for:
- organizing a webinar series featuring AFSG funded research presentations/webinars for AFSG members;
- supporting the organising committee of the Current Advances in Gambling Research conference series.
Qualifications
Essential qualifications.
The AFSG Coordinator must have:
- experience in one or more of the following sectors:
- mental health and wellbeing; academic research/support; professional societies or the charity sector; bid development and partnership engagement;
- excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to network and build meaningful relationships;
- experience managing social media and webinar platforms;
- experience using basic tools to build and manage websites;
- ability to recognise, navigate, and escalate sensitive issues to the AFSG Executive Committee and Greo as appropriate.

Finance
· Code and process purchase invoices, staff expenses and obtain authorisation of expenditure as per financial procedures manual.

We have an exciting opportunity for someone with excellent communication skills to join the staff of a social enterprise. The core function of this role is to handle new business enquiries from prospective clients, discussing the most appropriate service to meet clients’ needs, delivering the sales process and supporting the team manager. MAIN DUTIES
1.Providing operational support to Business Development Manager, including taking telephone enquiries from clients and arranging sales consultations. Supporting the Business Development Manager with sales consultations during holidays and at peak periods.
2.Being first point of contact for new business client enquiries, responding to messages from new clients and scheduling sales consultations with prospective clients. This includes acting on new referrals for paid service consultations within 24 hours, identifying and advising on the best service to meet the client’s needs from initial assessment of their situation, and promoting confidence in Beacon and our ability to meet the client’s needs.
3.Drafting and sending detailed estimates to prospective clients following initial consultations and following up to close the sale.
4.Establishing a rapport with prospective clients, utilising Beacon’s reputation within the industry to generate business and maintaining excellent communication throughout the sales journey.
5.Managing the case allocation process including responsibility for ensuring cases are allocated in a timely way according to case deadlines.
6.Generating and sending out contracts and associated paperwork, and processing completed contracts for clients engaging in a paid service. Liaising with caseworkers for a smooth handover of the new case, ensuring that expectations are met and key deadlines understood by the caseworker.
7.Maintaining good communication with colleagues in the Information and Advice team to facilitate the smooth transfer of prospective clients from an advice call to a paid service consultation.
8.To keep relevant and sufficiently detailed case records following each client contact, ensuring that all client information is kept up to date in line with Beacon’s systems and procedures, including data protection policies.
9.Keeping sales data software up to date and producing monthly sales reports for Managing Director.
10.Responsible for the effective operation of client administrative procedures including operating and maintaining database and filing systems.
11.Arranging for the safe and secure transportation of sensitive client files and medical records for caseworkers and clients.
12.Attending line management, supervision and team meetings as appropriate.
13.Provide organisational, administrative and secretarial support to the sales and casework teams as required.

Background Information
NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC) is the name given to a package of healthcare that some people need to receive due to disability, accident or illness. The Corporate Partnerships Account Manager plays a pivotal role in the Fundraising and Communications directorate and is responsible for managing, stewarding, renewing, and growing our corporate partners to meet our fundraising income targets. Our partners range from complex programmatic-focused partners to employee engagement-driven partners and reflect a combination of financial support, skills-based support, and volunteering. About the team
The Income Generation Directorate at Shelter comprises of 5 departments, delivering a mature fundraising programme that has seen continuous year on year diversity and growth. The directorate generates over £48m gross income each year, of which a high percentage is unrestricted. Our Corporate Partnerships team is split into two areas - New Partnerships which generates income by securing new relationships with private sector businesses, and the Partnership Management team, where this role sits, is responsible for the growth of Shelter’s voluntary income by managing and developing existing corporate partnerships spanning a variety of sectors. About the role
This is an essential and valued role within the Partnership Management team, as you will help design and deliver impactful partnerships to generate income to fund our vital work in response to the national housing emergency. You will lead on the employee fundraising and engagement activities across our valued corporate partnerships that include B&Q, Nationwide, HSBC UK, M&S and Network Rail. You will also lead on the success and development of a dedicated portfolio of partners, delivering colleague and customer facing fundraising and commercial campaigns to a high quality. Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) works for the health and dignity of Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees. MAP is the leading UK charity delivering health and medical care to those worst affected by conflict, occupation and displacement, in the occupied Palestinian territory, including Gaza, and Lebanon.

Purpose of role
The purpose of this role within MAP is to build a high-performing fundraising and marketing team in the UK, and in new international markets, to drive and stabilise significantly increased fundraising performance across a range of income streams. Leadership

- Lead the adoption and use of a newly installed Microsoft Dynamics CRM to effectively support data-driven decision making and relationship management to generate supporter insights in support of increased fundraising.
- With the CEO and SMT, agree and invest in a scaled-up approach to fundraising internationally.
Brand and Marketing
- Working in collaboration with the Director of Advocacy and Communications, lead the development and delivery of an integrated marketing and communications strategy that is driven by audience insight.
- Build and inspire a high-performing and results-oriented Marketing Team to build a community of supporters by delivering a seamless supporter journey that promotes MAP’s work and delivers greater income generation.

The Brent Centre for Young People is looking for an experienced, dynamic person to join its Clinical Administration Team.
The Brent Centre for Young People is a charity based in North West London (Kilburn) that provides psychotherapeutic treatments to young people aged 11-25 years, who suffer with emotional difficulties and have mental health needs. The Centre has an international reputation and delivers world-leading evidence-based practices to young people across North West London. On average, the centre helps over 700 young people per year through its In-house and Outreach Services.
We are looking for an experienced clinical administrator with strong people and communication skills to help run our clinical services.
This post is an exciting opportunity to be part both of supporting the growth of this new service and supporting clinical administration at the Brent Centre within an existing small team.
The suitable candidate will have at least two years’ experience of clinical and/or general administration and reception duties. This post will suit a confident, reliable individual with strong interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.
You will be expected to be confident in IT skills (including the use of Microsoft Excel to an intermediate level) and apply them to recording data accurately on a daily basis on our client database.
We are looking for someone who demonstrates a high level of professionalism, can work to regular deadlines, can problem solve when faced with difficult situations, adheres to confidentiality and can communicate professionally, politely and effectively with young patients, their families, our clinical and non-clinical staff team and our external contacts, such as GPs.
The post requires sensitivity to the needs of young people with emotional difficulties and the nature of therapeutic work and their families. Experience with young people or with mental health is advantageous.
You will be expected to work a range of shifts between 9.30am to 6pm, 10.30am to 7pm and 11.30am to 8pm, to be agreed.
The candidate will have excellent skills, when carrying out duties of the post.

Role purpose
ShelterBox has developed a network of international affiliates. These organisations share our vision and raise awareness and financial support for that vision. Together, they contribute an important proportion of ShelterBox’s income every year.
The purpose of the International Giving Executive role is to support the fundraising activity of the affiliate network. The successful candidate will ensure timely and effective delivery of resources between ShelterBox Trust and our affiliates. Affiliates are an essential part of ShelterBox and this role will support a global partnership approach to maximise income and benefits delivered through this network.
This role will empower the international network by providing materials, information and content which is key to fundraising success. It will also facilitate the sharing of these resources between different teams in the international network.
Who are we looking for?
ShelterBox is seeking an inspiring and proactive relationship builder who can join our International Giving team. They will play a key part in supporting our international fundraising staff and volunteers, with a high level of attention to detail and supporter centric best practice.
The successful candidate will be a personable, ambitious and self-motivated individual passionate about developing two-way relationships with our supporters. In addition, they should be confident in managing multiple projects simultaneously and working with a broad set of objectives associated with fundraising and communications.
Responsibilities of the role will include:
- Supporting the International Giving team to execute the strategy for growing affiliate income by working flexibly across the international fundraising network.
- Supporting the international Rotary engagement strategy, in collaboration with the Rotary Partnership Manager.
- Enabling communication between ShelterBox teams ensuring timely flow of information related to communications planning and fundraising campaigns.
- Creating of weekly and monthly internal updates to the affiliate network using appropriate email campaign tools and Adobe design packages.
- Creating of monthly brand awareness emails to international supporters.
- Drawing on insight from affiliate audiences to inform international supporter engagement communications i.e. Beyond the Box.
- Connecting affiliates with programmatic information to inform supporter engagement.
- Supporting enhanced communications with affiliates during times of major disaster.
- Assisting with the creation of international subtitles for videos created by the Brand & Content Team
- Driving supporter growth beyond affiliate network which included the development of a global ambassador volunteer role.
- Maintaining contact with international supporters outside of the affiliate network and ensuring appropriate supporter care processes are in place
- Identifying opportunities to develop training resources and building the materials to meet training needs of international staff and volunteers including global ambassadors.
- Facilitating consistent application of the ShelterBox and Rotary joint brand guidelines.
- Maintain/refresh Rotary Action Toolkit webpages and content as needed.
- Working with MEAL team to prepare summary reports that illustrate the impact of our work for international supporters.
- Preparing regular communication to promote the Rotary International partnership through various channels including blogs and magazine articles.
- Leading the production and curation of the Annual Rotary Partnership Impact report at the end of each year, which contributes to a number of other communication pieces including the ShelterBox annual report.
- Preparing occasional grant proposals based on ShelterBox’s fundable opportunities
- Any other duties as required which are deemed appropriate to the level and grade of the post.
