Development Officer Vacancy
We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive fundraiser to develop and maintain strong relationships with donors and partners, while providing high-level administrative and communications support to the department. The post-holder will play a key role in contributing to securing funding for all aspects of the School’s work.

ISWAN has recently reorganised the management of our helpline services and created this new role, which will be pivotal to further developing our quality service to seafarers. We have seen significant growth in the number and usage of our helplines and now seek to recruit a second Helplines Operations Manager to ensure we have a management structure capable of coping with further growth.
As one of two Helplines Operations Managers, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of ISWAN’s helplines to ensure our services provide accurate information, appropriate advice, and comprehensive support to seafarers and their families.
You will manage the development of Salesforce and be familiar with Salesforce reporting, particularly using advanced tools like Power BI and Tableau. You will be confident liaising with our IT support service on system issues and developments.
We have no preconceptions about where the successful applicant will come from but you will bring experience of managing multi-channelled contact centre operations and best practice as well as delivering user and client service improvements.
You will need to be capable of working effectively within a complex international context and have sound experience of service development. This is a full-time role (35 hours per week) but we are keen to find the right person and therefore happy to discuss flexible working patterns. The High Value Officer for our Fundraising team will focus and lead on supporting the Trusts and Major Donor teams with postal and electronic mailings; keeping the CRM up to date; supporting the Prospects Research Manager with initial research, identifying new opportunities and sources of funding; streamlining administrative systems and processes; creating purchase orders and invoices; supporting the Major Donor Manager with administration of the Mid Value pool.
This is a great junior role, offering opportunities in several High Value fundraising teams. You will get to use your administrative skills across a range of activities and also develop your research skills when looking at prospects and supporting the Corporate team in their due diligence work.
You will:
1. With support from the MD Manager, lead on the day-to-day running of our Mid Value programme including administration and delivery of a calendar of activity
2. Support the team with various CRM system processes, and ensure records are accurately updated

4. Streamline and manage electronic folders

The Role
We are looking for a compassionate, non-judgemental and empathetic individual who is experienced at supporting individuals in a Wellbeing role to co-deliver the Wellbeing Conversations Service. The successful candidate will use a blend of reflective listening, coaching-style questions, practical guidance and signposting to help nursing and midwifery professionals explore their stress, develop healthy coping mechanisms and empower them to address personal and work factors which are contributing to their stress.
This position operates as a job-share, and we are looking for someone to join the existing postholder in delivering the role.

Key Responsibilities:
Service Delivery:
- Deliver Cavell’s Wellbeing Conversations service including conducting triage calls and delivering virtual Wellbeing sessions ensuring high-quality delivery, consistency, and responsiveness to demand.
- Ensure exceptional record keeping, ensuring that all relevant data protection and privacy legislation is adhered to.

YOUR OPPORTUNITY
The Humane League is seeking a self-motivated, organized, collaborative individual with the drive to create progressive change for millions of farmed animals as part of our Global Corporate Engagement team. As Temporary Global Corporate Engagement Coordinator, you will support global corporate engagement work by recording and maintaining data on cage-free and broiler chicken welfare policies and providing crucial administrative support to the team. You will manage our research databases and conduct research on food companies, finding corporate policies, company contacts, and other information to inform global campaigns and corporate relations work. You will also work closely with members of the Open Wing Alliance (OWA), our global coalition of animal protection groups, to share data and progress, and you’ll coordinate with member organizations and/or third parties to translate global commitments into key languages.
You are passionate about The Humane League’s mission of ending the abuse of animals raised for food and are keen to use data to support this work. While working autonomously is an important part of this role, the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders will also be paramount to your success. You are able to work independently and as a member of a team in a fast-paced environment, and you bring the organizational skills needed to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively and efficiently. This position reports to the Director of Global Corporate Engagement.
This is a temporary, full-time, remote position, beginning in late February and ending in late August. The duration may be extended or shortened at The Humane League’s discretion. The temporary hire will provide coverage while a permanent staff member is on maternity leave, with overlap for training and onboarding. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Update and maintain THL’s global commitment tracking database by transferring, fact-checking, and proofreading data submitted by other animal welfare organizations. Keep policy information, corporate contacts, translations, and other details up to date in the database and other tracking documents so that progress and statistics can be shared internally and externally.
- Maintain our database of country-level cage-free information to inform global corporate relations work. Track relevant information on countries’ cage-free status, major commitments, legislation, and more.
- Work with the OWA to collect key language translations of global cage-free and broiler chicken commitments so that groups around the world can leverage commitments in their respective regions.
- Assist with setting the Global Corporate Engagement team’s strategy, bringing a data lens to inform strategic decisions.
- Independently perform research on food companies to support global campaigns and corporate negotiations, finding details such as executive contact information, existing animal welfare policies, corporate brand portfolios, worldwide locations, and more.
- Refine the team’s list of hundreds of global companies in order to identify the top companies to prioritize. Annually update data on the top global companies, tracking their revenue, number of locations, countries of operation, welfare commitments, and more.
- Carry out administrative duties for team meetings including scheduling, agenda creation, note-taking, and facilitation.
- Create presentations for OWA corporate engagement webinars. Co-lead presentations and provide tech support as needed.

The annual compensation range for this role is:

About the Role
The Finance and Administrative Assistant will provide essential support across three main areas: finances, events and training. This role is about being detail-oriented in the finance administration, well organised, supporting smooth communication, and helping our members and partners to engage with our services. The role will report to the training and conference manager. The successful candidate will have a strong background in finance administration, substantial experience of using Customer Relations Management Systems (CRM) and Xero (or similar systems), and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Above all, you should be eager to learn and ask questions. This is a new role for us – so we're excited to explore and shape it together.
Key Responsibilities:

Product Manager – HOSTHub Lead

Role Purpose
As Product Manager HOSTHub Lead, you will drive the vision, design, and delivery of HOSTHub, HOST’s secure digital platform for global civil society operations.
HOSTHub is the central nervous system of HOST - connecting partners, funders, and internal teams across finance, legal, and operations. You will lead the platform’s development and optimisation, ensuring every user journey is clear, intuitive, and aligned with HOST’s empowering, expert, and empathetic values.
Working closely with the Partnerships and Engagement teams, along with our development contractors, you’ll translate user needs into product strategy, coordinate with the external development team, and deliver tools that make life easier for changemakers, funders, and the HOST team.
This is a strategic, high-impact role for someone who can think systemically, act decisively, and balance big-picture design with hands-on delivery.
Core Responsibilities
1. Product Vision and Strategy
Lead on the design, roadmap, and vision of HOSTHub as HOST’s flagship digital platform.
Translate HOST’s organisational goals into a clear, scalable, and user-focused product strategy.
Define and own product milestones, prioritising features that improve efficiency, visibility, and impact.
Ensure HOSTHub reflects HOST’s values secure, transparent, intuitive, and empowering.

2. User Journey and Experience Design
Lead on designing the end-to-end user experience for hosted partners, funders, and staff.
Map user journeys across onboarding, finance, compliance, and reporting workflows, identifying pain points and opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate with the Partnerships and Community Support teams to align HOSTHub with the Hosted Partner and Funder Journeys.
Work with the Communications Team to ensure all user-facing content is accessible, clear, and on-brand.

3. Development Oversight
Oversee product design and development process, in coordination with the development team.
Attend demo and planning sessions each sprint, provide clear prioritisation of activities and ensure that development is rolled out as required.
Ensure that all Hosted Partner and HOST team voices are included and prioritised into the platform development, acting as central focal point for all HOSThub needs.

4. Data, Systems, and Integration
Work with the Data Analyst to ensure HOSTHub captures accurate, useful data for reporting and impact measurement.
Integrate Data and Impact measurement needs into the Product Roadmap prioritisation
Support automation of key workflows across the Delivery and Partnerships Circles, improving speed and reducing manual processes.
Maintain robust documentation of system architecture and data flows.

5. Security, Compliance, and Risk
Lead on platform security and data protection in collaboration with the Legal Lead.
Ensure HOSTHub adheres to global data privacy and security standards (GDPR, AML/CTF, etc.). Prioritise required actions within roadmap.
Conduct regular digital risk assessments and prioritise required actions within roadmap mitigation strategies.
Lead the incident response process for digital issues or breaches, maintaining transparent communication with leadership.

6. Cross-Team Collaboration and Capacity Building
Work across HOST’s teams to ensure HOSTHub serves all service areas - Project Hosting, Hosted Grantmaking, and Capacity Building.
Develop and deliver internal training sessions to build staff confidence and skills in using HOSTHub.
Create and maintain onboarding resources, FAQs, and user guides.
Partner with the Training Lead to embed digital literacy across the organisation and hosted partner community.

7. Continuous Improvement and Innovation
Monitor emerging technologies and sector best practices to inform HOSTHub’s evolution.
Evaluate and test new features, integrations, and user needs to maintain product relevance.
Lead user feedback sessions and platform reviews to ensure HOSTHub grows with HOST’s global operations.
Drive HOSTHub’s role in enabling a distributed, digital-first delivery model.

Role Summary
The UN Policy Manager (all genders) supports our ambitious efforts to engage with international institutions to bring food system transformation and sustainable diets to the heart of the global policy agenda. They will work within our UN team to mainstream a shift towards plant-based diets as a proven climate change adaptation and mitigation solution.
We are looking for a candidate to lead our biodiversity policy and advocacy workstream, including our engagement with the UN CBD. The ideal candidate is a biodiversity expert with demonstrated experience of influencing policy outcomes at national or international level. A strong understanding of relevant financial mechanisms, instruments and entities, and experience in engaging with international policy processes and UN agencies is a plus.
The UN Policy Manager (all genders) will report to the Head of UN Affairs and will work collaboratively with other teams including programmes, communications, research, impact, and country policy managers. The successful candidate will also work closely with external partners and stakeholders.

Qualifications

You hold at least a Master’s degree in political science, public affairs, law, or a similar subject.

You have a good understanding of international multilateral processes and entities (e.g., United Nations, IPCC), especially CBD COPs (advantage).

You demonstrate excellent command of English, both oral and written; additional languages are a plus.
