As Development Executive you will
- Manage the Spektrix CRM database

The role

Key Duties & Responsibilities
General Income Generation
• Co-produce annual philanthropy and fundraising targets and take the lead responsibility to instigate and co-ordinate the activity that will achieve them.

The Clinical Audit Project Administrator plays a key role in supporting the delivery and continuous improvement of BSR’s national clinical audit, the National Early Inflammatory Autoimmune Diseases Audit (NEIAA). Job Summary
The Development Manager will be a dynamic and experienced fundraiser with strong technical skills in grant and funding solicitation, management and stewardship across Crisis Action’s current donor targets including major foundations, governments, and High Net Wealth Individuals (HNWI). They will serve as the anchor of a newly configured fundraising team designed to support Crisis Action to nurture its existing donors and secure the next generation of support for its ground-breaking work.
This role is pivotal in ensuring excellence in our outreach, proposals, reporting and communication to drive resource mobilisation that is essential for the organisation’s financial sustainability at a time when our distinct model and way of working is needed more than ever.
Principal responsibilities
Donor engagement and communications
- Oversee and coordinate day-to-day engagement with current and prospective foundation, government and individual donors by members of the Crisis Action team
- Represent the organisation vis-à-vis donor representatives
- Support HNWI donor benefits structure and cultivation plans
- Prepare compelling and timely donor reports, donor updates, letters of receipt and other outreach materials in collaboration with finance and campaign teams.
Grant management and oversight

Job Specifications
Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in fundraising, donor relations, or development within the non-profit or international advocacy sector
- A proven track record of engaging with foundations and government officials to secure and manage grants
- Demonstrated ability to forge new donor partnerships, and a track record of bringing in new revenue
- Strong understanding of government and foundation funding landscapes with at least some familiarity with differences between them and the stewardship of major gifts from individual giving

Salary & Benefits
Salary: We have set bands for the salary range for all positions at Crisis Action. The baseline of our salary range for this position is £40K per annum.
Benefits: 25 annual leave days (30 days after 3 years). Up to 6% contribution to pension. 3-month long service leave after 6 years and one-month sabbatical leave in year 10. CA additionally offers an annual inflationary increase, and 2% salary increase in year 2, 4 and 8 subject to availability of funds.

About this key role
Our successful candidate will contribute to and implement a three-year Corporate Fundraising Strategy with ambition to raise £1million annually, this will include managing a Corporate Partnership Assistant and implementing effective processes, data management and procedures across the team. We will also count on you to deliver exceptional account management, meet agreed partnership objectives on programme impact, income, communications and engagement and to provide excellent stewardship to increase value of partnerships, with a 70% renewal rate of partnerships.
Expanding and improving the ways in which we work with corporates to include event sponsorship, payroll giving, volunteering and other relevant non-financial support is also a key aspect of this role, as are developing an engaging and effective volunteering and challenge events programme and developing excellent, high-quality applications, presentations, and pitches to drive high-value and sustainable multi-year income.

We are looking for a proactive, positive and team-oriented Schools Coordinator to work within our busy and fast-paced team. We are proud to have recently been identified as delivery partner for the Department for Education’s ‘Supporting Survivor Testimony in Teaching’ contract. Key responsibilities
When a school registers for one of the Trust’s programmes, the Schools Coordinator manages the logistics and organisation of each school’s engagement, working closely with the schools and link teachers to ensure the smooth delivery of our programme. This includes:
- Coordinate booking dates/times – working with schools to ensure we fulfil their application to join one of our programmes.
- Handle enquiries and maintain accurate booking records.
- Staff allocation – securing freelance educator to deliver content.
- Direct communication – building and maintaining strong relationships with schools, teachers, and school staff, ensuring a smooth user experience for our clients. To provide excellent support to The Community Service Manager and the co-ordinator teams having full regard to the charity’s objectives and priorities at all times, meeting or exceeding the Charities legal, ethical and moral standards. Lead by example by showing the ability to communicate interpersonal skills, problem solve, decision making and time management. To help ensure that the teams work effectively in terms of daily operations and maintain accurate and timely follow ups with all new and ongoing cases. To build rapport with our clients in a warm and friendly manner and have empathy with our clients’ needs. To quickly identify any problems and ensure each conversation is handled in a compassionate manner.
A good telephone manner is essential, together with excellent literacy, verbal analytical and IT skills, coupled with the ability to work to tight deadlines, often under pressure. To be able to show initiative and a ‘can do’ attitude at all times.
You will have worked in the charity sector at a senior level for a number of years and have the experience of managing a large teams is essential. Ideally, you will have a background in managing volunteers and have up to date knowledge of best practices, risk assessments and guidelines.
This is a sensitive role which requires an individual with the ability to handle confidential information and correspondence.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
i. To be responsible for supporting The Community Service Manager to manage and motivate the coordinator teams
ii. To work closely with The Community Service Manager to ensure that all the charities goals are met and complete tasks as directed by senior management.
iii. Review and allocate all new/updated cases in management, at least twice weekly, and be responsible for delegation of tasks. Any urgent or terminal cases are to be reviewed and delegated immediately.
iv. To monitor performance and capability of the team as individuals and discuss this with The Community Service Manager on a regular basis. Where necessary to provide written reports.
v. Allocate CT admin enquiries and OOHs office voicemails daily.
vi. To Support The Community Service Manager with interviews for new members of the co ordinating team.
vii. In the absence of The Community Service Manager to deal with any difficult situations or complaints and to follow our complaints policies, guidelines and procedures.
viii. To communicate effectively with team members, respond promptly to staff and operational enquiries. Provide feedback and support as well as addressing any issues or concerns and where necessary make a referral to the Head of Department.
ix. Work with The Community Service Manager to ensure that the whole team work well together.
x. To work closely with the Community Support team.
xi. To help answer incoming calls and general queries relating to your team and relay messages where appropriate.
xii. Throughout the course of your work to ensure you record your responses on each individual case on our database.
