Data Selections & Reporting Manager - FTC

The Data Selections & Reporting Manager leads the data selections function in the Data and Analytics team, ensuring data selections are scheduled, developed, tested and checked, and delivered in accordance with the agreed brief and deadlines. In addition, this role includes the line management of any external agencies providing data selections services. You will be backfilling the duties of the existing Data Selections & Reporting Manager for 9 months as they are part of the project team delivering Salesforce Marketing Cloud to ARUK.
This is an exciting time to join ARUK as we are in the process of an organisation-wide change to our Digital, Data and IT processes and services. There is the opportunity to revolutionise how ARUK conducts data selections as we seek to increase the sophistication of our marketing activity and deliver an excellent supporter experience.
This role is a 9-months Fixed Term Contract
Key Responsibilities:
· Responsible for ensuring all data selections are produced in an accurate, consistent and timely fashion, in accordance with agreed data selection briefs and deadlines
· Manage the scheduling of delivering data selections to ensure there is clarity on what data selections are upcoming, to manage any potential clashes and to plan and prioritise the workload
· Effectively liaise with and delegate work to all parties carrying out data selections, including any external contract services
· Develop an excellent process and structure for delivering data selections that guarantees their consistency and accuracy
· Work with stakeholders to ensure data selection briefs are completed correctly, definitions are clarified, and the final selection meets the criteria outlined in the brief
· Work with the Data & Analytics Lead to identify insight-driven recommendations for campaign planning, and to ensure testing within data selections is valid and robust
· Attend end of campaign meetings, and lead on the presentation of results and test outcomes and feedback on process improvements
· Work with the Data & Analytics Lead to drive forward innovations in data selections, such as using propensity models to identify the right supporters to communicate with
· Continually seek to improve the data selection process with the aim of automating and streamlining to improve the accuracy of selections
· Lead on the implementation of a campaign planning process focused on driving improvement in selection results through data-informed decision-making
· Play a leading role in the planning of the calendar to manage communication activities
· Provide advice and guidance to teams on the implications of Data Protection Legislation for data selections and ensure all data selections comply with this legislation
· Work with 3rd parties to ensure the timely and secure transfer of data selection files
· Provide training and assistance to stakeholders to assist them in following the data selection process
Knowledge, skills and experience needed:

We are looking for a confident and organised Face-to-Face Fundraising Officer to join our ambitious Individual Giving team. The Direct Marketing Executive will play a key role in delivering high-quality direct marketing campaigns that drive income and engagement from individual supporters. Focusing on cash appeals and alternative gifts, this role will manage the planning, delivery, and evaluation of multi-channel campaigns that inspire supporters to give, strengthen loyalty, and maximise return on investment.
About You
You are organised, proactive and experienced in delivering successful direct marketing campaigns across channels such as direct mail and email. With excellent planning and project management skills, you can manage multiple campaigns from concept to completion, working collaboratively with colleagues, agencies and suppliers to deliver high-quality results on time and within budget.
You have strong analytical and numerical skills, enjoy working with data and databases, and use campaign insights to drive continuous improvement. About this role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing Grants & Impact Team, overseeing grant giving and grant management processes within Alder Hey Children’s Charity.
A senior member of the Grants Team, the post holder will manage Alder Hey Children’s Charity’s grant awarding process, providing approximately £5m of grant awards to the Alder Hey NHS Foundation Trust (the ‘Trust’) per year, with ambitions for significant growth.

JOB PURPOSE
This is a pivotal role within The Passage’s Fundraising Team, created to help support the transformation of our supporter data systems and ensure we become a more data informed, insight driven organisation and fundraising team. You will be the main contact for the fundraising CRM working with the fundraising team and other teams within The Passage such as finance and IT to ensure the smooth running of all systems and processes.
As the dedicated data and CRM Manager for Fundraising and Communications, you will support colleagues with reporting, analysis, campaign set-up and selections, and data strategy. Your work will ensure our data is accurate, accessible, and GDPR-compliant, enabling smarter decision-making, improved supporter journeys, and to help grow income. You will also be working with the Marketing and Communications team to implement email soft opt-in for our supporters. This is a unique opportunity to shape how we use data to engage, retain, and grow our supporter base at a time of exciting change.
MAIN DUTIES
1. Fundraising CRM Project Leadership
Manage and maintain the current Salesforce system, ensuring it remains functional, accurate, and fit for the purposes of stewarding donors and maintaining accurate records of donations
Act as the day-to-day lead for the CRM system within the Fundraising and Communications team, ensuring it meets team needs and supports strategic goals.
Document workflows, integrations and processes to ensure the long-term sustainability and usability of the system for vital processes such as donation processing and gift aid
Work with IT and the fundraising team to evaluate onboard 3rd party platforms to support fundraising initiatives. Ensure any changes are approved with senior stakeholders and documented.
Be a custodian of GDPR within the Fundraising team and be the main point of contact with The Passage’s Data protection lead and ensure all policies and procedures are up to date and in line with current fundraising regulations.
2.CRM and Data Management
Work collaboratively with the IT team and procurement team as the fundraising representative to recommend improvements to the current CRM and any other related projects.
Maintain and improve the quality of supporter data through regular cleansing, deduplication, and tagging to ensure accuracy and GDPR compliance.
Ensure ongoing system performance and data integrity by embedding data hygiene routines and best practices.
Work with the Finance team to support integration between the CRM and finance systems for seamless donation and income reporting.
Working with data flows and setting up integrations, ensuring the system runs smoothly on an ongoing basis, making updates, troubleshooting issues whilst maintaining data consistency.
Work on system migrations and leading on maintaining proper process structures and documentation during those transitions. Keep track of installed packages, security keys, and their passwords and related administrative processes.
Be responsible for all data imports from our 3rd party platforms, ensure that data is uploaded in line with regular upload schedule in an accurate manner.
Work with the Marketing and Communications team to help implement soft opt-in
Manage one database volunteer to complete database tasks.
3. Data Selections, Segmentation and Campaign Support
Collaborate with the Fundraising team to perform targeted data selections for appeals, newsletters, stewardship journeys, and events.
Develop and maintain segmentation structures and logic to support personalised supporter journeys and strategic targeting.
Work closely with the Marketing and Communications team to provide campaign-ready data for fundraising, advocacy, and engagement activities.
4. Reporting and Insight
Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports that provide real time insight into fundraising performance, donor behaviour and campaign results.
Create and deliver regular and ad hoc fundraising analysis to inform strategic decisions and performance tracking.
Proactively identify opportunities to improve donor retention, upgrade journeys and lifetime value through data driven insight.
5. Cyber Security
Work closely with the IT team to manage security/GDPR of the Fundraising crm
Develop knowledge in this area and undertake training as required.
6. Other Duties:
Provide ad-hoc administrative support to the Fundraising and Communications team.
Support and attend fundraising events as required.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Stay up to date on policies/news/regulations relating to the role
Work with the Supporter Engagement Officer on shared tasks and provide reports as required and troubleshoot any issues
Proactively flag any data integrity issues with Line Manager and help develop action plans as required.
Participate in internal/external meetings as required, and attend training events, conferences and other functions as necessary.
Participate in regular supervision and annual appraisal and help in identifying your own job-related development and training needs.

The postholder will lead all media, messaging, and external affairs work, developing and implementing a proactive media strategy that supports our mission and key campaigns, such as Living Wage Week and the annual Rates announcement. As a skilled media professional, you will oversee all communications outputs, ensuring consistency and strategic alignment, while delivering media training and refining key messaging to maximise reach and impact.
In this role, you will be instrumental in advancing our political engagement efforts, building cross-party support and working with political leaders, mayoral teams, and other key stakeholders to promote our initiatives. You’ll manage two direct reports (Events Manager and Media Manager) who each hold line management responsibilities, and you will play a critical role within our Senior Management Team, collaborating closely with the Head of Communications to shape the overall direction of our communications work. This role will work closely with Citizens UK colleagues, including the Citizens UK communications team on cross-organisational priorities. You will report to the Head of Communications.
As a senior leader, you will be responsible for managing and allocating part of the communications team budget, expanding team capacity, and driving the team’s effectiveness. In collaboration with other senior managers, you will help foster a culture that values creativity, innovation, and strategic impact.
Main Responsibilities
Contribute to CUK mission and its strategic objectives:
Provide strategic oversight of the organisation’s media strategy, ensuring it aligns with broader organisational, communications, and campaign goals, and establish clear processes for evaluating its success.
Work alongside other Senior Managers across Citizens UK on cross-organisational activity including through the Senior Management Group
Support the Living Wage Foundation’s Political Engagement Strategy by building and sustaining cross-party support for the organisation’s mission and objectives.
Situational awareness and research:
Lead regular updates on key audiences, tracking positions on issues of interest and ensuring the team is fully informed.
Guide the team in proactive media monitoring, enabling timely responses to significant developments.
Collaborate with the Senior Research Manager to conduct and commission impactful research, driving media campaigns that effectively reach and engage target audiences.
Strategy development:
Work alongside other Senior Managers in the Communications Team to shape and guide the overall communications strategy.
Lead on all media and messaging outputs, including developing high-quality materials, coordinating media events, and delivering media training.
Reputational & risk management:
Develop and manage the organisation’s risk register, offering strategic oversight and serving as a primary contact for crisis communications.
Manage and respond to reactive media enquiries promptly, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s values and objectives.
Draft key messages and FAQs for media interviews and public responses, and advise senior leadership on sensitive media or reputational issues.
Represent the Living Wage Foundation effectively in senior stakeholder interactions and participate in out-of-hours press duties when needed.
Materials development and dissemination:
Oversee the Media Team in producing engaging press releases, blogs, opinion pieces, and media briefings to elevate the Living Wage Foundation’s profile and the voices of workers and employers within the Living Wage movement.
Ensure media outputs and communications reflect the organisation’s values and uphold a consistent voice.
Create and refine key messaging for public communications, including FAQs and response guides.
Social media and website
Ensure consistency in messaging and alignment across all media and digital platforms in collaboration with the wider communications team.
External relationships (including media and press)
Lead employer case study development, identifying and preparing Living Wage employers to speak to media and champion a real Living Wage.
Drive stakeholder engagement efforts, cultivating valuable relationships with Living Wage employers, campaign partners, and media contacts.
Build and maintain relationships with journalists across print, digital, and broadcast media to secure quality coverage.
Collaborate with the Public Engagement Team to draft emails, speeches, speaker notes, briefings, and press notices for political engagements.
Strengthen and maintain broad cross-party support for the Living Wage agenda.
Campaign & events management
Provide a link between Events team and Senior Leadership Team to ensure efficient decision-making around key events.
Lead on media and messaging elements of agreed comms-led campaigns.
Internal comms & knowledge management
Oversee the development and maintenance of a comprehensive press database, mapping key media contacts and publications in line with the Living Wage Foundation’s objectives.
Internal relationships
Work closely with the Senior Digital and Communications Manager to guide and oversee team initiatives.
Provide line management and development support to the Media Manager and Events Manager.
Learning, expertise & DEI
Lead media training sessions for LWF staff and Living Wage employers, enhancing their confidence and effectiveness in media engagements.
Work collaboratively with colleagues across the LWF and Citizens UK, including communications and DEI teams, to develop and implement ethical storytelling practices, ensuring lived experience is represented responsibly, inclusively, and in line with organisational guidance.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Fundraising Manager to join our team. The role will report to the Head of Marketing and Fundraising and will be responsible for developing and implementing the fundraising strategy, driving forward all aspects of fundraising, including building corporate charity of the year partnerships, individual giving, major donors,
trusts and foundations, legacies and community fundraising.
The successful candidate will be a core member of the Central Team, working closely with the Marketing Team to develop and deliver income for the charity.
This role will have budgetary responsibility to achieving a revenue target in financial year 26/27 of £1.5 million, whilst building a sustainable income stream for the long-term with Yr on Yr growth. Key priorities include increasing the Individual Giving and Regular Giving donor database, donor and fundraiser stewardship, organising fundraising events, and securing grants and sponsorships.
