About the role
This role will be an expert resource to support the Housing Income Team on legal issues and best practice on all aspects of income management and debt recovery. Ensuring collection of the maximum amount of rental income to ensure sufficient revenue to maintain a first-class housing service, and good quality, safe homes as well as compliance with all relevant legislation, including the Social Housing (Regulation) Act 2023. There will be a focus on reviewing, implementing and monitoring of tenant service charges and legislative changes which may impact on what we can collect.
The role will help drive a positive performance culture with a tenant centred approach and will manage a small team of Tenancy Sustainment Officers as well as deputise for the Income Management Team Leader in their absence.
About you
You should be educated to degree level or able to demonstrate significant experience in an equivalent role, have a high level of literacy and analytical skills and experience of working with a range of client groups within the community. Working knowledge of housing, landlord and tenant legislation, regulations, standards and core disciplines of work area is essential for this role as is experience of successfully managing staff, debt recovery and service charging in a social housing setting.
You must be an excellent communicator, be literate and be able to use a range of Microsoft Office products and work specific software packages. There is a requirement for you to also be available as part of the council’s emergency planning arrangements subject to service requirements.

Sebby’s Corner is a Barnet-based charity supporting vulnerable families and children living in poverty across London and the South East. We support thousands of families every year with clothing, nappies, formula, school uniforms, birthday gifts and more. In 2024–25, we supported almost 4,000 children and over 2,300 parents, distributing £482,993 worth of essentials.
Sebby’s Corner serves families in crisis, many of whom are experiencing homelessness, fleeing domestic abuse, seeking asylum, or living in poverty. Referrals are made by frontline professionals including social workers, midwives, health visitors, and family support workers so we can ensure we are reaching the most vulnerable.
We believe by meeting immediate material needs, we can help stabilise families, reduce stress, and improve the wellbeing of both parents and children. About the Role
We are looking for a confident and strategic fundraiser with proven experience in major donor and corporate fundraising. You will lead our income generation, helping us to raise over £400,000 every year, with a focus on building high-value, long-term partnerships with individuals and companies. You will also oversee community fundraising, events and supporter engagement, ensuring every donor feels valued and connected to our mission.

What We Offer
Salary & Pension
The salary range for this role is £42,000 - £48,000 FTE per annum (gross), dependent on experience and pro-rated if you work part-time. If eligible to join the pension scheme, we will match your contributions by 5%.
Annual Leave
You will be entitled to 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays (pro-rated for part-time roles). We usually close between Christmas and New Year without this time coming off your annual leave allowance.

About the project
The School Housing Advice Support Project builds on the success of a pilot program and aims to provide tailored housing advice and support to families, particularly those living in temporary accommodation (TA). About the role
We are looking for an experienced, motivated and compassionate support worker to deliver housing advice and practical support to parents from four Primary Schools in Southwark. This role involves conducting housing surgeries, providing follow-up casework, and running workshops to empower clients with the knowledge and skills to address their housing-related issues. The successful candidate will work closely with clients to identify their needs and offer tailored solutions to help them achieve sustainable housing outcomes. The role will be based mostly in Southwark, and you will be working in partnership with schools, community organisations and the council to coordinate tailored support for each client to avoid eviction and sustain tenancies, address suitability of the property, mediating with landlords where necessary and providing advice for onward housing when needed. Set up by Southwark Council, the Homes for Ukraine project supports families and individuals from Ukraine who have been granted visas to live and work in the UK. After an initial period living with host families or in temporary accommodation, the project helps households take the next step towards independence by supporting them to move into private rented accommodation, assisting them in finding employment, and linking them with wider community support networks, while working holistically to ensure their individual needs are met. You will be responsible for the project management and implementation of all supporter engagement activity, acquisition, and legacy marketing activities, ensuring all activity is optimised and campaigns include enhanced digital and social media content.
Reporting to the Co-Heads of Supporter Engagement and managing the Supporter Engagement Officer, you will develop a multi-year plan to rebuild legacy income and a pipeline of legacy supporters, including re-engaging the EFH care home staff and major donors.
You will be responsible for supporting the strategic direction, operational plans and effective management of Turn2us’s giving programmes from individuals including appeals, regular giving and legacies, maximising net income from new and existing income streams.
The successful candidate will have experience of managing direct marketing campaigns in a charity environment as well as proven ability to manage successful legacy marketing campaigns. They will have significant experience stewarding individuals and legacy supporters and be adept at communicating the impact of donations, as well as having line management experience. The ability to make a strong case for supporting Turn2us’ key areas of work is crucial, as is an aptitude for proactively increasing acquisition and retention rates.
The post holder will also be a self-starter who is comfortable building new strategies from a relatively small pool of supporters and is experienced testing different tactics to establish the best practice for Turn2us.

Some roles may be required to be in the office more often than others and this will be agreed with the hiring manager upon starting at Turn2us.
