We are looking for an Involvement & Participation Coordinator who shares this commitment and can help create meaningful opportunities for involvement and participation across our services.
Working closely with service teams, you will ensure that the voices of people with lived experience of mental health or dementia are heard and embedded in our work. This includes supporting and engaging Lived Experience Consultants, volunteers, clients and carers.
You will play a key role in championing our values around equity, diversity and inclusion, helping to ensure participation is accessible, representative and impactful. You will line manage a team of Lived Experience Consultants, providing supervision, performance management and development opportunities. You will also support the delivery of service user forums across the organisation, and facilitate focus groups as required.
You will have experience of managing staff/volunteers, strong facilitation and communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
Successful applicants will be expected to undergo an Enhanced Level Disclosure and Barring Service check.

Alive Activities is seeking an experienced, compassionate and community-focused individual to deliver an innovative new programme supporting older people living with both cancer and dementia, particularly within Black Caribbean and South Asian communities.
This exciting new role will lead the delivery of Same Mind, Same Body — a community-led project designed to record cancer care experiences, investigate inequalities, and share findings with stakeholders Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. You will be working closely with a project coordinator from the Bristol Pakistani Community Welfare Organisation.
Working alongside community organisations, healthcare professionals and people with lived experience, you will help:
We are looking for someone with strong project management and partnership-building skills, alongside a genuine commitment to tackling health inequalities and improving the lives of older people.

Experience working with Black Caribbean and/or South Asian communities, dementia services, or participatory research approaches would be highly desirable.

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Service Manager to lead our Healthier Lifestyle team which includes a team of 3 part-time Project Officers, 2 x Dementia Project officer 1 x Dementia Service Coordinator and a great team of volunteers.
Addressing health inequalities and fulfilling our mission means that the Healthier Lifestyles service has opportunity to grow and expand. We want to reach younger older people to encourage “Act Now Age Well” . An important element of this role will be looking for opportunities to develop existing services and introducing new services including some paid services.
The Healthier Lifestyles Manager is a member of the Integrated Leadership team to support our One Organisation One team ethos for integrated working and holistic support for the older residents of Croydon.
Duties will include (but are not limited to) –
•Monitor and manage workload, organise schedules, ensuring that services are delivered effectively,
•Ensure quality processes are followed for service delivery against key performance indicators
•Oversee and monitor accurate data recording and monitoring
•Recruit and manage staff in line with Age UK Croydon's policies and guarantee that efficient and effective procedures are in place.
•Oversee recruitment and support for volunteers across the service.
•Carry out regular supervision and appraisals and provide encouragement and support for staff including encouraging skills development and progression
