The Nook, Greenwich is a peer support project aiming to provide a safe and welcoming space for young people living in the Royal Borough of Greenwich (or those who have a GP within the borough) to connect with other young adults who have experienced mental health challenges. 

We are recruiting a sessional Young Person's Peer Support Worker to co-lead the development and delivery of The Nook alongside our Peer Support Coordinator and a team of volunteers.

You will work with Peer Support Volunteers to plan and co-facilitate the groups in line with service user needs. You will have experience of group development, psychoeducation, collaborative working across service teams and an excellent understanding of service user engagement particularly with young people. You will be highly organised and be proficient with case management tasks and project management administration and take an active role in creating partnerships. 

Groups will be held at the University of Greenwich premises and will run every week until March 2027, with hope of an extension of contract. We particularly want to increase engagement of under-served communities in Greenwich.

Successful applicants will be expected to undergo an Enhanced Level Disclosure and Barring Service check.

The Senior Email Channel Officer is a critical role and responsible for the end-to-end delivery of email and SMS communications, ensuring campaigns and automated journeys are planned, built, tested, and deployed on time. The role ensures supporters receive timely, relevant and engaging communications that strengthen their relationship with the charity and drive meaningful action. The post holder will have strong experience using email marketing platforms in achieving KPI’s such as improved campaign engagement metrics; improved automated journeys to increase retention, reactivation and income; delivering email accuracy and quality; and contributing to the overall Supporter Experience Strategy to build lifetime value through more supporters, staying longer and doing more.

This is a 9-month FTC

 Key Responsibilities:

 Campaign and Automation Journey Planning & Delivery

· Owning the end-to-end delivery of email and SMS campaigns, including planning, building and testing high-quality communications to support fundraising, supporter engagement and other organisational priorities such as newsletter updates, sporting, campaigning, and appeal actions.

· Advise and deliver automated email journeys that welcome, retain, steward and reactivate supporters, building performance knowledge and insight that can be replicated across different supporter products and journeys.

· Support the Email Channel Manager in the planning and prioritisation of the Email and SMS channel calendar, ensuring effective delivery of campaign activity.

· Work with data and CRM teams to improve trigger logic, personalisation and segmentation, using your audience understanding to incorporate targeting and personalisation using customer data and dynamic content logic.

· Ensure all communications meet agreed quality standards through rigorous pre-deployment testing, including content, personalisation, segmentation, links, rendering and customer journey checks.

· Advise on the integration of email within multi-channel campaigns (e.g. email, SMS, Whatsapp, direct mail, social and telephone)

· Manage campaign workflows and delivery timelines, working with stakeholders to ensure requirements, approvals and dependencies are clearly understood and delivered to schedule.

Reporting, Performance & Insight

· Monitor performance and continuously refine journeys to improve conversion, engagement and lifetime value.

· Work with Business Intelligence, Insight and Digital Analytics teams to produce regular reports on email performance, offering clear insights and recommendations.

· Use A/B testing, segmentation and behavioural insights to drive continuous improvement.

· Ensure activity aligns with KPIs around engagement, retention, income and supporter satisfaction.

 Data, Compliance & Quality Assurance

· Ensure all email activity is fully compliant with GDPR, PECR, consent and internal data governance.

· Working closely with the website team, carry out thorough QA across content, links, rendering and segmentation before deployment.

· Champion accessibility, inclusive language and best‑practice UX within email design.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

· Work closely with internal teams needing email support, advising on best practice, delivery approach and channel suitability.

· Build effective working relationships with stakeholders across fundraising, marketing, supporter engagement, data, digital and analytics teams.

· Translate campaign briefs and business requirements into actionable delivery plans, providing expertise on channel capabilities, timelines, segmentation and automation.

· Liaise with platform and technology partners to troubleshoot issues and support continuous improvement.

Platform & Technical Ownership

· Strong use of ESP email and automation platforms such as Dotdigital, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or equivalent to build and optimise emails and journeys.

· Support the development of templates, modules, reusable assets and stronger processes. Contribute to platform migrations or upgrades, ensuring smooth transitions and improved capability.

· Identify and implement workflow improvements between the Supporter Experience and Data teams to increase effectiveness and reduce lead times for campaign deployment.

Continuous Improvement & Ways of Working

· Work alongside another Senior Email Officer with championing email channel best practise to uphold high quality assurance and executional standards.

· Act as a trusted channel specialist, advising stakeholders and ensuring communications are deliverable, compliant and customer-focused.

· Create and maintain documentation of learnings, processes, ways of working and results where required.

· Identify opportunities to improve campaign workflows, automation and operational efficiency.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

· Significant experience delivering end-to-end email and/or SMS campaigns and automated journeys in a fundraising, marketing or digital environment.

· Strong experience building, testing, quality assuring and deploying customer communications.

· Hands‑on experience with email marketing platforms and CRM systems.

· Proven track record of improving performance through testing and optimisation.

· Experience working with stakeholders to plan and deliver campaigns from brief to execution.

· Experience working with data teams and segmentation logic.

· Familiarity with behavioural insights or loyalty‑building techniques.

· Strong understanding of email best‑practice, including accessibility, personalisation and UX.

· Knowledge of GDPR, PECR and data governance standards.

· Strong attention to detail with the ability to conduct thorough testing and quality assurance across customer communications.

· Strong analytical skills with ability to turn insight into action.

· Have experience with interpreting and using reporting tools (Google Analytics, PowerBI, Lookerstudio or equivalent).

· Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.

· Ability to work collaboratively across teams and managing stakeholders.

· Comfortable working autonomously, prioritising delivery.

· Proactive mindset, self-starter and passionate about customer-first communication.

Data Selections & Reporting Manager - FTC

The Data Selections & Reporting Manager leads the data selections function in the Data and Analytics team, ensuring data selections are scheduled, developed, tested and checked, and delivered in accordance with the agreed brief and deadlines.  In addition, this role includes the line management of any external agencies providing data selections services.  You will be backfilling the duties of the existing Data Selections & Reporting Manager for 9 months as they are part of the project team delivering Salesforce Marketing Cloud to ARUK.

This is an exciting time to join ARUK as we are in the process of an organisation-wide change to our Digital, Data and IT processes and services.  There is the opportunity to revolutionise how ARUK conducts data selections as we seek to increase the sophistication of our marketing activity and deliver an excellent supporter experience.

Key Responsibilities:

 

· Responsible for ensuring all data selections are produced in an accurate, consistent and timely fashion, in accordance with agreed data selection briefs and deadlines

· Manage the scheduling of delivering data selections to ensure there is clarity on what data selections are upcoming, to manage any potential clashes and to plan and prioritise the workload

· Effectively liaise with and delegate work to all parties carrying out data selections, including any external contract services

· Develop an excellent process and structure for delivering data selections that guarantees their consistency and accuracy

· Work with stakeholders to ensure data selection briefs are completed correctly, definitions are clarified, and the final selection meets the criteria outlined in the brief

· Work with the Data & Analytics Lead to identify insight-driven recommendations for campaign planning, and to ensure testing within data selections is valid and robust

· Attend end of campaign meetings, and lead on the presentation of results and test outcomes and feedback on process improvements

· Work with the Data & Analytics Lead to drive forward innovations in data selections, such as using propensity models to identify the right supporters to communicate with

· Continually seek to improve the data selection process with the aim of automating and streamlining to improve the accuracy of selections

· Lead on the implementation of a campaign planning process focused on driving improvement in selection results through data-informed decision-making

· Play a leading role in the planning of the calendar to manage communication activities

· Provide advice and guidance to teams on the implications of Data Protection Legislation for data selections and ensure all data selections comply with this legislation

· Work with 3rd parties to ensure the timely and secure transfer of data selection files

· Provide training and assistance to stakeholders to assist them in following the data selection process

 

Knowledge, skills and experience needed:

· Experience of leading and developing a team of technical experts, ensuring clear roles and responsibilities and driving high performance

· Extensive experience of using large relational databases and analysis packages and working with large and complex datasets

· An excellent working knowledge of SQL

· Experience of building complex queries and producing data selections from a database package or through SQL querying

· Excellent knowledge of data protection legislation and its application in marketing

· Track record of delivering high quality work

· Enthusiastic and positive approach to stakeholder management, understanding the importance of regular and clear communications

· Advanced Excel skills

· Proven ability to work to a high standard and with an eye for detail

· Ability to work on own initiative and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

You might be visiting someone at home, offering calm reassurance over the phone, or working closely with other professionals to make sure the right support is in place. We operate a triage system for new referrals and you will play your part in making sure people are responded to quickly and thoughtfully. You will manage your own caseload, keeping clear and accurate records, while always seeing the person behind the paperwork.

You will be part of a caring and dynamic local team who share ideas, reflect together and support one another. There will be time to meet as a team and opportunities to keep growing your knowledge of dementia, with your manager and colleagues alongside you. We provide training and ongoing support.

As a Dementia Navigator, you'll take a person-centred approach to help people understand their diagnosis, navigate health and social care services, access local support and feel more in control of their lives. You'll build trusted relationships with individuals, families and professionals, ensuring people receive the right support at the right time.
You will be part of a proactive, caring and supportive local team who work in a fully integrated partnership with NHS colleagues, supporting people from point of diagnosis through to end of life. Together, you'll share ideas, reflect on practice and support one another, with opportunities to grow your knowledge of dementia alongside your manager and colleagues. We provide training and ongoing support, so previous experience in a dementia support role isn't required.

Race Against Dementia is a global charity founded by three-time Formula 1 World Champion Sir Jackie Stewart OBE to find preventions, treatments and cures for dementia – faster. 

We fund and support pioneering early-career scientists around the world, giving them the tools, mentoring and Formula 1-inspired mindset to accelerate breakthroughs. From the UK to the USA, Australia to South Africa, our researchers are rethinking how dementia research is done – applying data science, AI and engineering to neuroscience in bold, collaborative ways. 

Purpose of the role

Race Against Dementia is seeking a proactive and relationship-driven Senior Partnerships Officer to support the delivery of our ambitious fundraising strategy. You will play a key role in managing and developing partnerships that generate income and increase global awareness of our work.

Working closely with the Strategic Partnerships Lead, you will support the stewardship and growth of corporate and strategic partnerships, with an additional focus on international fundraising and partnership development. You will help identify and cultivate new opportunities across priority markets, including the USA, Switzerland and other emerging regions.

Formula 1 remains our flagship global partner, and this role will support the activation and maximisation of this and other high-profile relationships to drive fundraising and brand visibility.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Deliver partnerships that contribute to Race Against Dementia’s fundraising targets and strategic objectives.
• Support the management of key partnership accounts, acting as a point of contact for partners and maintaining strong, positive relationships.
• Develop tailored partnership plans, ensuring alignment with partner objectives and demonstrating the impact of their support.
• Contribute to new business development by researching, identifying, and engaging prospective partners, including internationally.
• Support international fundraising activity by helping develop opportunities in priority global markets and assisting with partner engagement across different regions.
• Prepare high-quality partnership proposals and presentations, clearly communicating value, impact, and alignment with funder priorities.
• Working closely with the Research team, lead the development and delivery of a strategic partner communications programme, strengthening partner engagement through regular research updates, impact reporting, and organisational news.
• Take ownership of the Partnerships team's use of the CRM system - Salesforce, maintaining accurate records, developing tracking and reporting processes, and supporting prospect research, pipeline management, and new business development activities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support the delivery of partnership campaigns, activations, and marketing initiatives.
• Monitor and report on partnership performance, tracking income, engagement, and impact against agreed targets.

Carers often experience significant financial challenges because of their caring role. This post will play a key role in ensuring carers can access the information, advice and support they need to maximise their income, improve financial resilience, and make informed decisions about their finances.

The Carer Financial Wellbeing Coordinator will provide day-to-day line management and support to Welfare Benefits Advisors, oversee the quality of financial wellbeing services, and work collaboratively to develop innovative and accessible support for carers. 

The role includes providing welfare benefits and financial wellbeing advice, supporting complex cases where appropriate, delivering workshops and training, developing resources, and identifying opportunities to strengthen our support offer.

You will work closely with teams across Carers Support West Sussex to ensure carers receive joined-up support and that financial wellbeing is embedded throughout our services. You will also contribute to service development, impact monitoring and continuous improvement, helping us demonstrate the difference our services make to carers across the county.

The role is a mix of remote/home working and community-based delivery, with travel across West Sussex required to attend meetings, deliver workshops and support carers and partners in local communities.

The Communications team is responsible for informing, inspiring and engaging the public by showcasing Alzheimer’s Research UK’s work, impact and mission across all channels. We lead the charity’s media and strategic communications activity—ensuring consistent, accurate and compelling storytelling that supports research, fundraising and organisational priorities. 

We are seeking a Communications Manager, Research to join our Communications Team and line manage the Research Communications team.  The Communications Manager, Research, leads the development and delivery of communications that promote and explain the charity’s research strategy, programmes and scientific impact. They act as the primary communications partner to the Research Directorate, shaping research narratives and overseeing high‑quality content that brings our science to life for diverse audiences.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Strategic Leadership & Planning

 

· Lead the development of communications strategies and plans for major research programmes, including: Blood Biomarker Challenge, Dementia Frontiers Fund, Clinical Accelerator, GRB, DDA, and research partnerships.

· Act as the senior communications partner to the Research Directorate, advising on messaging, positioning, risks and opportunities.

· Shape and maintain the overarching research narrative and storyline, feeding into organisational messaging, master slide decks and presentations.

· Ensure research communications plans align with organisational strategy and cross‑team communications activity.

 

Delivery & Oversight

 

· Oversee the creation of key research communications materials: Communication plans, FAQs, messaging documents, web content, reports and updates.

· Ensure content is scientifically accurate, engaging and accessible for a range of audiences, including supporters, partners, researchers and policymakers.

· Oversee communications planning around scientific conferences (e.g., AAIC, AD/PD), ensuring identification of key research outputs and coordinating content production.

· Work with the Content Team to deliver researcher‑friendly content and impact stories that articulate the charity’s scientific contribution.

 

Cross‑Team Collaboration

 

· Collaborate with Press, Content, Corporate Comms and Digital teams to ensure consistent messaging on research across all channels.

· Act as a research communications expert internally, supporting colleagues who need scientific context, messaging or guidance.

· Lead the planning and delivery of research‑specific social media content in partnership with digital colleagues.

 

Team Leadership & Management

 

· Line manage, coach and develop members of the Research Comms team, ensuring high performance, prioritisation and skills development.

· Translate broader departmental strategy into clear objectives and work plans for the team.

· Provide guidance and support on complex communication tasks and ensure quality assurance across all team outputs.

· Encourage continuous improvement in processes, systems and ways of working.

Governance, Risk & Resource Management

 

· Provide input into setting budgets for research communications activity and work within allocated resources.

· Identify comms risks around research announcements or projects and advise on mitigation strategies.

· Ensure compliance with organisational policies and regulatory requirements.

· Work with Metrics & Insights colleagues to set KPIs and evaluate performance of research communications activity.

 

Knowledge, skills and experience needed:

· Significant experience in communications, science communication or research engagement

· Scientific background or qualification

· Experience developing comms strategies

Ways of working:

As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

Roles that are classed as part of the Agile ways of working are not able to claim any costs for Mileage/Travel on Public Transport, Accommodation and/or Meals.  This includes when attending the office for various meetings/events.

We're looking for an experienced and compassionate Safeguarding Manager to lead our national safeguarding case management team. This is a unique opportunity to provide professional safeguarding leadership across Alzheimer's Society, ensuring adults at risk receive safe, timely and person-centred support while helping shape safeguarding practice across a national charity.

You'll manage a team of Senior Safeguarding Officers and Safeguarding Officers, providing professional supervision, coaching and leadership. You'll oversee the management of complex safeguarding concerns, provide expert advice on safeguarding legislation and risk management, and ensure decisions are evidence-based, proportionate and aligned with statutory guidance.

You'll be at the heart of our safeguarding practice, balancing operational leadership with strategic oversight. One day you may be supporting your team through a complex safeguarding concern, the next you'll be analysing safeguarding data, presenting assurance reports to senior leaders or driving improvements to safeguarding policy and practice.
Working collaboratively across the Society and with external safeguarding partners, you'll help create a culture where safeguarding is everyone's responsibility, ensuring people affected by dementia receive the highest standards of care, protection and support.

About you

You will have:

- A recognised Social Work qualification (e.g. BA, MA, DipSW) and current registration with Social Work England. 
- Experience leading or supervising safeguarding professionals, providing reflective supervision, coaching and professional development.
- Experience managing complex safeguarding concerns, providing professional oversight and supporting defensible decision-making.
- Experience undertaking quality assurance, audits or case reviews to improve safeguarding practice.
- Analytical skills with experience using safeguarding data to identify trends, monitor quality and drive service improvement.
- Communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to advise, support and challenge colleagues and senior stakeholders.
- Organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and make sound, evidence-based decisions.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office applications and case management systems.
- An understanding of dementia and a commitment to championing the needs of people affected by dementia.

Key Responsibilities:

- Act as the escalation point for safeguarding concerns, supporting defensible decision-making and organisational assurance.
- Promote high-quality safeguarding practice through professional guidance, coaching and quality assurance.
- Lead safeguarding audits, thematic reviews and quality improvement activity to strengthen safeguarding practice across the Society.
- Analyse safeguarding data to identify emerging risks, trends and opportunities for improvement.

What we are looking for

We're looking for a creative and organised communicator who is excited by the opportunity to help more people understand the transformative impact of creativity for people living with dementia.

The Communications Lead will work across the team and help us to: engage more effectively with existing stakeholders (partners, funders, donors, workshop participants, volunteers, artists), increase our profile and reach new audiences. Main purpose of job

To develop and deliver effective communications activity across all channels

• Part time: 21 hours per week, working flexibly
• Salary: £30-33k pa dependent on experience (pro-rata’d)
• Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer
• Location: Hybrid.  Mainly home-based with at least two days in London per month. Very occasional evenings or weekend days in London for events and activities.

Key responsibilities

· Proactive development and measurement of all social media channels (currently Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, to varying degrees)

· Responsible for appropriate use and development of our website, including keeping it up to date with our projects and case studies, and maximising engagement and SEO

· Supporting the fundraising team to fully realise new and existing income streams

· Supporting the operations team to deliver effective communications to participants, volunteers, artists and partners

· Creating mailouts and newsletters to various audiences (we use Mailchimp)

· Working with the team to identify and create assets and resources for use across the organisation, for example using participant stories and evaluation data

· Initiating public outreach and profile raising work, including identifying and engaging with relevant publications and events, soliciting and responding to media engagement, and cultivating high-profile ambassadors

· Supporting the rest of the organisation’s work, such as events, exhibitions, fundraising activities etc as needed
