Alive Activities is seeking an experienced, compassionate and community-focused individual to deliver an innovative new programme supporting older people living with both cancer and dementia, particularly within Black Caribbean and South Asian communities.

This exciting new role will lead the delivery of Same Mind, Same Body — a community-led project designed to record cancer care experiences, investigate inequalities, and share findings with stakeholders Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.  You will be working closely with a project coordinator from the Bristol Pakistani Community Welfare Organisation.

Working alongside community organisations, healthcare professionals and people with lived experience, you will help:

• Identify barriers within cancer and dementia care pathways
• Build trusted relationships with underserved communities
• Co-design culturally responsive and dementia-friendly solutions
• Pilot new approaches to support, communication and care navigation
• Share findings with stakeholders

We are looking for someone with strong project management and partnership-building skills, alongside a genuine commitment to tackling health inequalities and improving the lives of older people.

You will bring:

• Experience delivering community health, dementia, cancer or inequality-focused services
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Confidence working across community and healthcare settings
• Experience facilitating engagement, workshops or co-production activity
• A person-centred, inclusive and compassionate approach
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage complex projects

Experience working with Black Caribbean and/or South Asian communities, dementia services, or participatory research approaches would be highly desirable.

The Data Selections Manager leads the data selections function in the Data and Analytics team, ensuring data selections are scheduled, developed, tested and checked, and delivered in accordance with the agreed brief and deadlines.  In addition, this role includes the line management of a Data Selections and Reporting Officer.  You will be backfilling the duties of the existing Data Selections Manager for 12-months as they are part of the project team delivering Salesforce Marketing Cloud to ARUK.

This is an exciting time to join ARUK as we are in the process of an organisation-wide change to our Digital, Data and IT processes and services.  There is the opportunity to revolutionise how ARUK conducts data selections as we seek to increase the sophistication of our marketing activity and deliver an excellent supporter experience.

 

Key Responsibilities:

· Help the Data Selections Team to deliver team and personal goals whilst ensuring appropriate development plans and opportunities are in place

· Responsible for ensuring all data selections are produced in an accurate, consistent and timely fashion, in accordance with agreed data selection briefs and deadlines

· Manage the scheduling of delivering data selections to ensure there is clarity on what data selections are upcoming, to manage any potential clashes and to plan and prioritise the workload

· Develop an excellent process and structure for delivering data selections that guarantees their consistency and accuracy

· Work with stakeholders to ensure data selection briefs are completed correctly, definitions are clarified, and the final selection meets the criteria outlined in the brief

· Work with the Business Intelligence Manager to identify insight-driven recommendations for campaign planning, and to ensure testing within data selections is valid and robust

· Attend end of campaign meetings, and lead on the presentation of results and test outcomes and feedback on process improvements

· Work with the Business Intelligence Manager to drive forward innovations in data selections, such as using propensity models to identify the right supporters to communicate with

· Continually seek to improve the data selection process with the aim of automating and streamlining to improve the accuracy of selections

· Lead on the implementation of a campaign planning process focussed on driving improvement in selection results through data-informed decision-making

· Play a leading role in the planning of the calendar to manage communication activities

· Provide advice and guidance to teams on the implications of Data Protection Legislation for data selections and ensure all data selections comply with this legislation

· Work with the Business Intelligence and Data Management functions of the team to ensure the necessary data is being captured to enable campaign analysis to be conducted

· Work with 3rd parties to ensure the timely and secure transfer of data selection files

· Provide training and assistance to stakeholders to assist them in following the data selection process

 

Knowledge, skills and experience needed:

· Experience of leading and developing a team of technical experts, ensuring clear roles and responsibilities and driving high performance

· Extensive experience of using large relational databases and analysis packages and working with large and complex datasets

· An excellent working knowledge of SQL

· Experience of building complex queries and producing data selections from a database package or through SQL querying

· Excellent knowledge of data protection legislation and its application in marketing

· Track record of delivering high quality work

· Enthusiastic and positive approach to stakeholder management, understanding the importance of regular and clear communications

· Advanced Excel skills

· Proven ability to work to a high standard and with an eye for detail

· Ability to work on own initiative and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

· Excellent problem-solving skills

· Collaborative approach to delivering projects

· Excellent ability to plan and organise own workload and the wider team’s

· Excellent verbal and written skills

Additional Information:

Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

At Age UK Kensington & Chelsea, we believe that ageing should be about living well — staying connected, independent, and fulfilled at every stage of life.

Age UK Kensington and Chelsea’s Memory service provides support for people living with mild to moderate dementia, focusing on living well, providing relevant information on diagnosis and engaging in activities such as memory work.

The service is delivered through a range of channels, including face to face, home visits, telephone and email, through Maintenance Cognitive Stimulation Therapy Groups across the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

As well as responding to enquiries and carrying a caseload, the role focusses on continuous improvement of the service by implementing best practices and contributing to the development of more effective procedures to enhance service delivery and client outcomes.

The Doncaster service is a partnership with Rotherham, Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust to provide joined-up support for people affected by memory concerns and dementia. This includes both practical advice and access to clinical expertise through a shared pathway.

As part of a supportive multi-disciplinary team, you’ll play an important role in helping people with dementia and their carers achieve better outcomes and feel more supported in their day-to-day lives.

You’ll also get out into the community to raise awareness of the service, helping people understand what support is available and how to access it. Working alongside clinical colleagues, you’ll build strong relationships with primary care teams so we can reach those who may not yet be receiving the help they need.

This is a busy and rewarding service, so being flexible and able to manage different priorities is important. Above all, we’re looking for someone who is committed to making a difference, continuously improving the service, and providing high-quality, person-centred support that adapts to the changing needs of the people we support.

You will work closely with people living with dementia and those who care about them, providing ongoing support. You will listen carefully, understand what matters most to each person and offer guidance that helps them feel steadier and more confident as their situation changes.

Your days will be varied and meaningful. You might be visiting someone at home, offering calm reassurance over the phone, or working closely with other professionals to make sure the right support is in place. We operate a triage system for new referrals and you will play your part in making sure people are responded to quickly and thoughtfully. You will manage your own caseload, keeping clear and accurate records, while always seeing the person behind the paperwork.

Role Overview
This is a unique opportunity to help shape and develop our dementia support service, working with an experienced and committed team. We are looking for someone who brings good experience of supporting people living with dementia and their carers, good service coordination, line management, service development and partnership working experience, alongside the warmth and confidence to build supportive relationships with people living with dementia, their carers and partners across the community.

The Dementia Service Co-ordinator is a newly created role within our Healthier Lifestyles Team responsible for coordinating and developing Age UK Croydon’s Dementia Service. A varied role with development, line management, and group facilitation/delivery responsibilities, it offers an exciting opportunity to join the team and help shape the service to support people living with dementia, their carers and the wider community. The Dementia Service sits within the Healthier Lifestyles Team and currently offers six monthly Memory Tree Cafés for people living with mild to moderate dementia and their carers, alongside co-located support groups for carers. Cafes are delivered at our Brigstock Road Community Hall and across the borough in local community venues.

The main areas of responsibility for this role are: coordinating, facilitating and expanding the service with lead responsibilities for our newest café and our carers groups. existing café and carers’ group; including prioritising café expansion supported by current funding.

The post holder will take lead responsibility for the delivery, monitoring and evaluation of our dementia-related services across the borough. You will line manage and support the dementia service staff and volunteer team to provide a welcoming, inclusive environment within our Memory Tree Cafes and carers’ support groups which promotes interaction, stimulation and wellbeing. You will also build and maintain positive working relationships across Age UK Croydon and with external partners, referrers and stakeholders, including health professionals and voluntary organisations, to strengthen, develop and promote the service.

Age UK Croydon is currently reviewing its Dementia Service, and in this role the post holder will work closely with the Healthier Lifestyles Service Manager to put the review’s recommendations into practice, ensuring quality assured delivery, data collection and monitoring and exploring opportunities for service development and partnership working.

- The ability and interest in supporting people to maintain their independence, improve their sense of well-being, and help them take more control of their lives. 

- An understanding of dementia and the needs of those living with dementia and their carers would be an advantage but if you have had experience supporting with other diagnosis or support requirements this would be taken into consideration. 

- Experience with communicating with a wide range of people, adapting your approach to ensure understanding at all levels. 

- Able to network effectively and collaborating with other professionals to achieve a positive outcome for people. 

- Good IT skills, experience working with databases, Microsoft Office and virtual meeting software (Teams / Zoom). 

- The ability to travel across the County of Hertfordshire independently when required. This post will mainly cover South West Hertfordshire including Watford, Potters Barr, Borehamwood and Rickmansworth and therefore you would need to live in an easy commutable distance from these areas.

What you’ll focus on:

- You will provide personalised support and to people affected by dementia in a variety of ways, whether in the service users own home, at groups or at other locations in the community, face to face, by phone, letter, or email. About you

You will have:

- An understanding of dementia, or a willingness to learn about the experiences of people living with dementia and those who care for them.
- Experience providing information, guidance, advice or emotional support - this could be from health, social care, community, voluntary, customer service or other people focused roles.

Key Responsibilities:

- Build supportive, trusting relationships with people living with dementia and their carers across, recognising and respecting individual needs and circumstances.
- Provide personalised information, advice and emotional support that reflects each person’s culture, background, values and preferences.
- Deliver support through home visits, telephone contact and partnership working other professionals.
- Participate in the triage rota, ensuring new referrals are handled promptly, sensitively and equitably.
- Manage a defined caseload, maintaining accurate, respectful and confidential records.
- Signpost and connect individuals to appropriate local services and community networks, reducing isolation and increasing access to support.
- Work collaboratively within a supportive team environment, contributing to reflective practice and continuous improvement.
- Facilitate and deliver regular peer support groups, creating a safe, inclusive environment where people affected by dementia can share experiences, build connections, and access tailored information and guidance.

The Paralegal will support the Legal team by providing high-quality legal and governance assistance across a broad range of matters, including commercial contracts, data protection, charity governance, and compliance. This role will help ensure the organisation operates effectively, ethically, and in accordance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements, while supporting the charity’s wider mission and strategic objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities:

· Support the Legal & Compliance team with commercial contracts, including drafting, reviewing, redlining, and contract lifecycle management.

· Assist with data protection compliance and related processes, including maintaining confidentiality and supporting GDPR obligations.

· Support governance, company secretarial, and charity law related matters as required.

· Conduct legal and regulatory research on matters affecting the charity and non-profit sector.

· Maintain accurate legal records, filing systems, and documentation.

· Assist with the preparation and management of policies, agreements, and governance materials.

· Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders across departments, escalating legal or compliance risks appropriately.

· Liaise with external legal advisers, regulators, trustees, and other stakeholders where necessary.

· Monitor legal and compliance deadlines to ensure timely action.

 

Knowledge, skills and experience needed:

· Law degree (or equivalent) and at least 2 years’ Paralegal or relevant legal support experience.

· Experience supporting commercial contracts.

· Sound understanding of data protection principles and confidentiality requirements.

· Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines.

· Good judgement, including the ability to assess legal or operational risk and escalate appropriately.

· Confident user of Microsoft Office and comfortable working with legal processes and documentation.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Collaborative, proactive, and service-oriented approach.

Ways of working:

As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

Roles that are classed as part of the Agile ways of working are not able to claim any costs for Mileage/Travel on Public Transport, Accommodation and/or Meals.  This includes when attending the office for various meetings/events.

About The Role

We’re excited to offer an opportunity to join Alzheimer’s Society as a Local Services Manager for Norfolk and Suffolk. In this role, you’ll provide leadership and oversight for locally commissioned dementia support services, ensuring they are high-quality, person-centred, and responsive to local need. You’ll work closely with partners across health, social care and the voluntary sector, using insight and lived experience to shape service delivery and continuous improvement.

This is a home-based role, with regular travel across Norfolk and Suffolk, and occasional travel across the wider region for meetings, engagement activity and partnership working. Mileage expenses will be paid from the Norfolk and Suffolk border.
