You will provide leadership to managers and teams working across multiple locations and community settings, ensuring services are safe, effective, person-centred and financially sustainable. You will lead on safeguarding, health and safety, quality assurance and continuous improvement, helping us maintain high standards and achieve excellent outcomes for older people.

About You

You will be an experienced senior leader with a background in social care, health or the voluntary sector. You will have a proven track record of managing multiple services through others, balancing strategic leadership with strong operational oversight.

You will be comfortable leading managers and geographically dispersed teams, ensuring consistent standards, strong performance and a positive culture across a complex service portfolio.

You're equally at ease presenting performance reports and strategic proposals to trustees as you are engaging with frontline staff, volunteers and older people using our services.

You'll Bring

· Significant experience of leading multiple frontline services, ideally across different locations or community settings.

· Experience of managing and developing managers, team leaders and remote or dispersed teams.

· A strong understanding of safeguarding, governance, quality assurance, health and safety and risk management.

· Experience of external audits and working within quality frameworks, with a good understanding of regulatory standards continuous improvement.

· Strong operational and contract management skills, including performance monitoring, KPI reporting and service development.

· Excellent leadership and relationship-building skills, with the ability to inspire, support and develop others.

· Strong IT and data literacy, using information and insight to drive decision-making and improve outcomes.

· A collaborative, flexible and values-driven approach to leadership.

The Counselling Outreach Worker is key to SEL Mind's exciting new counselling service for Black residents of Southwark, delivered as part of the wider Southwark Wellbeing Hub. This part-time role will shape the Wellbeing Hub's provision to Black communities, expanding equitable access to culturally-appropriate support.

As Outreach Worker, you will work closely in partnership with community organisations to ensure relevant, de-colonial approaches, including maintaining a delivery partnership with Black Psychotherapy. The main working site is a community centre in SE5, and the community outreach work involves regular travel across the borough. You will play a vital role in building community trust, ensuring that we are creating routes into the service and continually seeking and implementing feedback.

We are seeking a community-based worker who is passionate about improving Black people's access to early mental health support. Relationships and partnership working is vital, so you should be able to work independently but collaboratively, to be proactive and show initiative.

The role will involve:

• Maintaining a live engagement strategy and actively reaching out with physical presence to grassroots organisations, faith groups, community centres, cultural associations, and spaces for people experiencing difficult situations including e.g. food banks and advice/advocacy organisations
• Contributing to the development and continuous improvement of the service, bringing recommendations to support the SWH's inclusivity and best practice

This role involves providing culturally specific support to Black clients. Applicants must be able to demonstrate lived experience of, and deep cultural understanding within, Black communities, and the ability to build trust with Black service users.

South East London Mind is looking for a Group Activities Facilitator, in our new Southwark Wellbeing Hub (SWH), to lead an exciting new programme of groups and activities across Southwark. The Group Activities Facilitator will create opportunities for people with mental health needs to connect with others who understand their experiences, gain practical tools and information, and build resilience. This role is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference by ensuring Southwark residents have access to the support and community they need to thrive.

You will be a highly skilled facilitator with good knowledge of mental health and experience supporting people with mental health problems. Your exceptional organisation skills will support the successful delivery of the project and ensure that it is evaluated effectively.

As the Group Activities Facilitator, you will coordinate and facilitate a programme that brings group activities to community spaces across the borough. You will work in partnership with other delivery organisations and community facilitators, helping people feel more connected to the people and resources around them. This will include developing and refining a structured programme and continuously building on feedback.

What you'll be doing:

• Developing and overseeing the safe delivery of a flexible programme of short-term groups to support wellbeing
• Partnering with a variety of organisations and venues to ensure the programme covers a range of needs
• Managing the day-to-day operations of activity delivery, including group & venue bookings and relationships with delivery partners
• Jointly managing a co-production group including service users and local partners to plan programme priorities
• Supporting service users, addressing concerns and encouraging participation, and providing information about upcoming programmes
• Connecting to the wider community to encourage sustainable participation and longer-term options for service users

Dementia UK is looking for a Procurement Manager to join our Finance Team. As the charity continues to grow, this is an exciting opportunity to lead and develop our procurement function, supporting internal stakeholders to secure the goods, services and suppliers they need to deliver our 2025-2030 organisational strategy.

As Dementia UK’s procurement expert, you will lead the function with support from a Procurement Support Officer. You will manage end-to-end procurement activity, including sourcing, tendering, supplier selection, negotiation and contract management, whilst building strong supplier relationships. Working collaboratively with stakeholders across the charity, you’ll develop practical procurement approaches and make procurement straightforward by providing the right controls and tools to empower and support stakeholders to make informed decisions and achieve the best overall value – balancing quality, cost, risk and organisational needs.

You will bring substantial experience in procurement management and hold a relevant qualification, such as a Level 5 or 6 Diploma in Procurement and Supply, MCIPS, or QBE equivalent. You will have a strong understanding of procurement best practice, preferably in the charity sector. You will have a collaborative, solutions-focused approach and will be confident working with stakeholders to find practical ways forward. Strong negotiation, relationship-building and commercial skills are key.

A hybrid role, working for a Manchester dementia charity. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Information and Advice Service Manager to lead our highly regarded service and support the continued development of our advice offer. This is an exciting opportunity to manage a skilled team, maintain high-quality standards, and help shape services that make a real difference to older people in Sheffield

You will have the ability to lead and develop a specialist team of advisors, have excellent time management and IT skills, be comfortable managing a case load of customers and organising our response to high levels of demand for our services. You will be a people person, highly organised and skilled at practical problem-solving and planning. You will be passionate about promoting older people’s independence.

You will work collaboratively with colleagues, partners and funders to develop services that respond to the needs of older people across Sheffield. The role includes responsibility for service performance, quality assurance, safeguarding, financial monitoring and the achievement of contractual and funding outcomes.

We are looking for a warm, thoughtful and organised Dementia Adviser to join our supportive team in London Borough of Bexley working 21 hours per week on a 12 months fixed term contract.

You'll regularly travel between different locations across London Borough of Bexley, manage your own diary and build relationships with a wide range of people. This role involves being out in communities throughout the week, so you'll need to be comfortable travelling independently and working across different locations as part of your normal working pattern.

While some planning and administration can be completed from home, the focus of this role is being present in communities, meeting people face to face and building trusted local connections.

You will work closely with people living with dementia and those who care about them, providing ongoing support. You will listen carefully, understand what matters most to each person and offer guidance that helps them feel steadier and more confident as their situation changes.
Your days will be varied and meaningful. You might be visiting someone at home, offering calm reassurance over the phone, or working closely with other professionals to make sure the right support is in place. We operate a triage system for new referrals and you will play your part in making sure people are responded to quickly and thoughtfully. You will manage your own caseload, keeping clear and accurate records, while always seeing the person behind the paperwork.

You will be part of a caring and dynamic local team who share ideas, reflect together and support one another. There will be time to meet as a team and opportunities to keep growing your knowledge of dementia, with your manager and colleagues alongside you. We provide training and ongoing support.

You don't need previous dementia experience to apply. You may have gained these skills through customer service, retail, education, housing, hospitality, community work, charities, faith organisations or other people focused roles. You may also have personal experience of supporting or caring for someone affected by dementia.

You will have:

- An understanding of dementia, personal experience of supporting someone affected by dementia, or a willingness to learn about the experiences of people living with dementia and those who care for them.

- A compassionate, non-judgemental and person-centred approach, with respect for diversity and individual lived experiences.

- The confidence and ability to communicate with a wide range of people, adapting your approach to ensure understanding. You may occasionally represent Alzheimer's Society at local events, providing information about dementia and signposting people to further support and resources.

- Build supportive, trusting relationships with people living with dementia and their carers across, recognising and respecting individual needs and circumstances.
- Provide personalised information, advice and emotional support that reflects each person’s culture, background, values and preferences.
- Deliver support through home visits, telephone contact and partnership working other professionals.

Overview

Race Against Dementia is a global charity founded by three-time Formula 1 World Champion Sir Jackie Stewart OBE to find preventions, treatments and cures for dementia – faster. 

We fund and support pioneering early-career scientists around the world, giving them the tools, mentoring and Formula 1-inspired mindset to accelerate breakthroughs. From the UK to the USA, Australia to South Africa, our researchers are rethinking how dementia research is done – applying data science, AI and engineering to neuroscience in bold, collaborative ways. 

Purpose of the role

The Supporter Engagement Officer plays a key role in making sure everyone who supports Race Against Dementia has a positive and rewarding experience. They will manage day-to-day supporter communications, maintain our supporter database, and build strong relationships with donors, fundraisers and volunteers around the world. By helping people feel valued and connected to our mission, they will help inspire long -term support and generate more funding for dementia research.

Duties and Responsibilities

Supporter care and fundraising

• Act as the first point of contact for supporters and fundraisers, delivering timely, professional and friendly stewardship via phone, email and post .
• Manage supporter journeys from sign-up to thank you, using tailored communications and automated journeys to maximise engagement and fundraising success.
• Record and track fundraising activity, ensuring accurate records and effective supporter communications.
• Prepare and send thank you letters, receipts and other supporter communications.
• Plan and deliver small-scale supporter engagement events, maximising both experience and fundraising potential.
• Recruit, coordinate and steward fundraising volunteers across the year. 

CRM and donor management

• Maintain accurate supporter and donation records within the CRM (Salesforce), acting as the organisational lead for CRM best practice.
• Develop dashboards and reports to monitor supporter activity, fundraising performance and trends.
• Maintain CRM integrations, ensuring data flows accurately and reliably between connected systems.
• Produce regular insights and reporting to inform fundraising strategy and decision making.
• Manage fundraising platforms (e.g. JustGiving, MuchLoved and GivenGain), ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
• Work with the Finance Manager to process monthly direct debits and reconcile income.
• Coordinate legacy and in -memory giving administration, providing sensitive and thoughtful supporter stewardship. 

Operations and administration

• Manage stocks of fundraising materials and merchandise, ensuring timely reordering.
• Oversee the fulfilment house relationship to ensure the efficient delivery of supporter packs and merchandise.
• Manage auction and raffle prize inventories, tracking usage and income.
• Support the planning and delivery of Race Against Dementia fundraising events, providing logistical and operational support.
• Maintain team calendars, campaign plans and shared resources to support effective team operations.

Other Duties

Carry out any other duties as required by your manager, Director, CEO and Board of Trustees including:

• To attend, where appropriate, local, regional and national meetings /events.
• To maintain a good knowledge of national and local initiatives which are of benefit to Race Against Dementia .
• To administer your own workload, including meeting targets and deadlines in line with the Race Against Dementia appraisal system.
• To a ttend relevant CPD training events as required.
• To undertake responsibility, as part of the team, for all Hea lth and Safety work related matters.

The Communications team is responsible for informing, inspiring and engaging the public by showcasing Alzheimer’s Research UK’s work, impact and mission across all channels. We lead the charity’s media and strategic communications activity—ensuring consistent, accurate and compelling storytelling that supports research, fundraising and organisational priorities. 

The Corporate Communications Manager will be responsible for the development and delivery of clear, consistent and compelling communications that strengthens our reputation and supports the positioning of our organisational narrative and brand.

The role will provide strategic communications support to Corporate Partnerships, Brand, Fundraising and Marketing and the CEO Office. The postholder will oversee the charity’s Annual Report and strategic campaigns and manage a team of four Corporate Communications Officers.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Planning

· Act as the primary communications business partner to Corporate Partnerships, Brand and the CEO Office, providing strategic communications advice and support.

· Develop and deliver communications plans that support organisational priorities, fundraising objectives, strategic partnerships and executive profiling.

· Contribute to planning for major organisational moments, ensuring communications activity is integrated, audience-focused and aligned with ARUK priorities.

· Support the Senior Manager, Corporate & Research Communications in identifying communications opportunities, risks and emerging issues.

 

Delivery & Oversight

· Lead the development and maintenance of ARUK's communications messaging framework, including key messages, narrative tools and supporting communications materials.

· Oversee delivery of executive communications, including briefings, speeches,  LinkedIn content, thought-leadership materials and speaking opportunities where required.

· Manage the production of flagship publications, including the Annual Report and Dementia Attitudes Monitor, and the communications outputs to support these.

· Provide communications support for major strategic partnerships, organisational announcements and corporate campaigns.

 

Team Leadership & Development

• Provide effective team management, role-modelling ARUK’s leadership values.

· Line manage Corporate Communications Officers, setting goals, overseeing workloads and providing positive and constructive feedback and supporting professional development.

· Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture that reflects ARUK's values and supports continuous improvement.

· Ensure team priorities, workflows and resources are aligned to organisational needs and strategic communications objectives.

 

Cross-Team & Stakeholder Collaboration

· Work closely with Brand, Strategic Marketing, Media & PR, Content, Research Communications and Fundraising teams to ensure consistent messaging and integrated communications delivery.

· Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and act as a trusted communications advisor to senior leaders and business partners.

· Identify opportunities to connect specialist communications teams into projects and campaigns to maximise impact and organisational alignment.

 

Governance, Risk & Quality Assurance

· Ensure communications outputs adhere to ARUK's brand, messaging, accessibility and editorial standards.

· Support the identification and management of reputational issues and communications risks.

· Work with the Metrics & Insights Manager to establish KPIs, measure performance and evaluate the effectiveness of corporate communications activity.

· Lead continuous improvement of corporate communications processes, templates and ways of working.

Ways of working:

As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

A 24-month fixed-term contract - with the aim of extending the role if future funding allows

We are a local, independent charity based on the Wirral, supporting people living with dementia, their carers, and former carers by providing community-based activities and day trips. We help people stay active, enjoy friendship and creativity, reduce isolation, and feel included, valued and respected.

This is an important role at the heart of a small charity. The post is primarily administrative, but with a significant communications element.
