Job description

This organisation supports anonymous recruitment. That means hiding your personal identifying information, removing bias from the hiring process.

The Grange is an enterprising and dynamic not-for-profit business with a turnover of over £4m. We provide accommodation, care, training and social opportunities for 120 adults with learning disabilities.

We are recruiting for a new, full time role, providing strategic leadership alongside the Chief Executive Officer. You will drive delivery of our long term plan and foster innovation, whilst maintaining careful stewardship of the charity’s finances. A qualified accountant, you will have an excellent understanding of charity finance and good governance, fulfilling the role of Company Secretary. You will lead a diverse group of teams, encouraging a collaborative and efficient culture.

This is an exciting time in the life of our 80 year old charity, when you can use your skills and knowledge to support digital transformation, identify new income streams and build new alliances to increase our resilience.

The Grange is based in a beautiful Victorian mansion set in eight acres of landscaped grounds in the Surrey countryside. It is an exciting, creative and rewarding place to work. We are an inclusive and welcoming organisation, where we celebrate people’s differences and harness individual strengths. Come and feel the magic for yourself – and help to transform the lives of others.

Due to the nature of the role we will undertake an enhanced DBS (at the cost of The Grange), and two satisfactory references will be required. The Grange is an equal opportunities employer.

To find out more please take a look at the Recruitment Pack available on our website.

Interviews to be held on 11th June, 2021.

We always encourage prospective staff and volunteers to visit the site: this will form part of the selection process, but you are welcome to come at any time.  Just contact our HR Officer via the main switchboard or email to arrange a visit (this is currently dependent on the latest infection control restrictions for the Covid 19 pandemic).
