As a Junior Designer, you’ll play a part in making that happen. Working within our Creative team, you’ll help turn ideas into thoughtful, well-crafted design across digital and print. From campaign visuals to everyday assets, your work will help bring our brand to life in a way that is consistent, accessible and meaningful.
You’ll collaborate with designers, content specialists and digital colleagues, learning as you go and building your skills in a supportive, fast-paced environment where your work has real impact.
What you’ll do
In this role, you’ll spend your time bringing ideas to life through thoughtful, well-crafted design. You’ll work across a mix of digital and print, creating and adapting assets that help communicate important messages and support impactful campaigns.
You’ll take creative concepts and shape them into clear, engaging visuals that feel consistent, on brand and accessible to a wide range of audiences. Whether you’re refining layouts, resizing assets or preparing files for delivery, you’ll care about getting the details right.
Working closely with colleagues across creative, content and digital teams, you’ll help make sure design supports the bigger picture. You’ll be part of conversations, contribute ideas and collaborate to deliver work that lands well and makes a difference.
Alongside this, you’ll manage your own workload, keeping projects moving and maintaining quality even when things are busy.

JOB VACANCY – ACCT UK TRAINING DESIGNER – FULL TIME (40 hours per week)
Salary: £30,784.00

About This Job
This is an exciting training role in Army Cadet Headquarters responsible for development of courses and compliance by those undertaking training delivery.
We are looking for a person with skills in training design to bring their skills, enthusiasm, and personal credibility to the team.
This role is key to ensuring the Army Cadets can deliver excellent quality course materials and the training cycle is compliant with MOD and/or awarding body requirements.
This position is a permanent full-time post (40 hours per week) which will be home-based. However, some travel to Aldershot and London to attend meetings will be required.
Essential Skills
§ Qualifications in training or training support and design.
§ Direct experience of designing training for organisations.
§ Experience of working with partners, internally and externally.
§ Understand new technologies and promote innovation.
§ Ability to work on own initiative within an agreed framework of objectives.

ACCT UK is a national youth charity dedicated to improving the life chances of young people. The Combined Cadet Force Association (CCFA) is a charity dedicated to the promotion of the ideals and activities of the Combined Cadet Force in schools. Together we want to ensure that every young person has the opportunity to learn new skills, build confidence and be inspired through their cadet experience.
We want to develop the youth leadership and training abilities of adult volunteers whilst also helping young people to access cadet activities through fundraising, grant-making, developing new resources and direct support.

About the Role
The National Institute of Teaching is seeking a Content Designer to join our content team to support the development of a range of programmes, including ITE, PGCE, ECTP and NPQs, and help shape high-quality, evidence-informed professional development for teachers and school leaders across England.

In this role, you will design and develop engaging, rigorous content across a range of formats, including online self-study, seminars, coaching and immersive experiences. Working closely with subject experts, teachers, leaders and academics, you will translate evidence and expertise into accessible, impactful learning that supports excellent practice in classrooms and schools.
You will apply instructional design best practice, embed insights from research and contribute to ongoing programme improvement by testing new approaches and incorporating evidence into future iterations. This is an opportunity to influence programmes with a lasting impact on the teaching profession and to help share learning across the wider education system.
Contract: Fixed-term contract for four years due to funding.
Location: Hybrid – within commuting distance of one of our campuses.
Essential Criteria
- A commitment to the aims of the National Institute of Teaching.
- Educated to level 7 or higher, with experience of academic reading and writing at Level 7 or higher.
- Experience of designing materials for NPQs, ECTP, initial teacher training, PGCE or other higher education programmes.
- A proven track record/a minimum of 2+ years of experience in the development of educational materials, including presentations, e-learning material, checklists, participant guides, and other materials used in training and development.
- Understanding of instructional design methods, theories and best practice.
- Experience of designing materials that involve critical reflection.
- Experience in the education sector, ideally as a teacher, leader or instructor.
- Ability to train and support others, including teachers, school leaders and content design colleagues, to deliver materials that integrate critical reflection at Level 7 with QTS-aligned classroom practice.
- Ability to build strong relationships with a diverse group of key stakeholders.
- Excellent track record of delivery on collaborative projects against tight timelines.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience of designing materials that support Level 7 Master's assessments and an understanding of how to integrate this with QTS-aligned classroom practice.
- Experience of working within a Lead Provider/sub-contractor delivery model or with DfE-funded programmes.
- Familiarity with the regulatory environment for higher education and Initial Teacher Education (ITE), including Office for Students (OfS) requirements.
- Previous exposure to or experience with User Experience (UX) Design and Design Thinking.
- Experience of designing interventions for research purposes and disseminating findings successfully.
- Experience of schools, especially those that face challenges, such as those in ‘cold spots’.
