Graphic Designer
Reports to: Marketing and Communications Manager
Location: Remote or hybrid working at our offices in Aylesbury or High Wycombe
Hours: Part-time, 18.75 hours over 3 days.
Contract: 2 Year Fixed
Salary: £14,000 pro rata (£28,000 FTE)

We are looking for a highly motivated and creative Graphic Designer to join our friendly Marketing team at Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity (FNHC). This is an exceptional opportunity for a talented designer to help support the excellent end-of-life care delivered by Florence Nightingale Hospice and outpatient care for patients with life-limiting conditions at Butterfly House in Buckinghamshire.
What will I be doing?
Working closely with the Marketing team, and also with Fundraising, Retail and Volunteering, you will develop engaging on-brand creative content across print, digital and social platforms, ensuring that all content reflects the Charity’s values: Professional, Ambitious, Community, Team.
- Develop and produce visually engaging content across multiple channels, including digital, print and social media. This will include newsletters, brochures, programmes, posters, leaflets, and presentations.
- Design materials outlining our hospice services and promoting case studies.
- Design promotional materials for fundraising events including our Onstage theatrical productions and In Memory, Challenge and Community events.
- Create designs for fundraising campaigns, including digital social media, email outs and printed materials.
- Support the production of retail collateral including shop signage, posters, tags, postcards, and leaflets.
About You
- A recognized qualification or proven experience as a graphic designer.
- At least one year’s experience working as a graphic designer.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Experience in Canva.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating creativity, versatility and attention to detail across print and digital media.
- Good knowledge of design fundamentals including typography, colour, spacing and layout.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with good communication and interpersonal skills.

Mary’s Meals International is recruiting for a talented Graphic Designer to join our Creative Solutions Team on a 12-month maternity cover contract. Creating compelling design solutions for both digital and print media applications, you will work to develop our visual identity and brand, employing your creative flair in telling of the story of Mary’s Meals, and the children we serve.
The role:
Reporting to the Head of Creative Solutions, you will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, developing your own concepts and inputting into creative processes. Working closely with stakeholders across the global network across simultaneous projects and executing requests for graphic design work.
- Support the introduction of new design practices and processes as defined by the Head of Creative Solutions to ensure that design development and production workflows are efficient, and effective.
- Develop creative ideas and concepts choosing the appropriate medium and style to meet project requirements and objectives.
- Collaborate with the wider marketing team on developing asset banks for digital use including infographics, landing pages, social media assets and email design.
- Deliver internal and external design toolkits as required.
We are looking for:
- Excellent working knowledge of the Adobe creative suite, primarily InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator but experience with After Effects & Premiere Pro is beneficial.
- Three years’ experience, or equivalent, of working in a graphic design role within a design team.
- Agency experience would be beneficial but not essential
- Strong ability to pitch ideas and articulate your design thinking
- Strong stakeholder management skills and experience of working with stakeholders at all levels.
- Great attention to detail with experience of developing and working within brand and visual style guidelines.
- Experience in executing project briefs and delivering to project deadlines.
- Strong team focus, with great communication skills and proven experience of working in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven track record in developing creative design projects from concept to completion
- Excellent typography skills and robust understanding of how to use type to drive action.

This is a remote role involving regular national travel, including to the Capacity office in Liverpool, Local Trust office in London, and 3ni work across the country as needed. Out of hours travel and stays away from home are therefore a key feature of the role.
As our Senior Neighbourhood Designer and Doer you will lead and deliver Capacity’s work through 3ni, the national network for neighbourhood improvement. You will focus on a distinct portfolio of work centred on neighbourhood working and community-led regeneration, supporting local government and public sector partners to strengthen social infrastructure and tackle place based challenges alongside communities.
3ni is a partnership between Capacity and Local Trust, two organisations committed to rethinking how public services and community regeneration work. Leading in a in a relational, inclusive, and developmental way, as Senior Neighbourhood Designer and Doer you will:

• Support clients and partners to navigate uncertainty, identify strategic choices,
and make informed decisions in complex environments.
• Lead the delivery of complex programmes and portfolios of work, ensuring
clarity of purpose, appropriate pace, and strong coordination across projects.
