Based in the coastal town of Fort Dauphin in the southeast of Madagascar, this post will provide support to the Environment and Rural Livelihoods projects implemented by the NGO. The successful candidate will work within a combined national and international team to assist in the development of projects, from initial planning stages to final evaluations. Primary responsibilities include the writing of donor reports and proposals, providing additional support to the project team surrounding project management and monitoring and evaluation. The role is predominantly office-based with some bush travel. Duties and Responsibilities

Write project reports, to a high standard of English, that clearly demonstrate the successes and challenges of the Environment and Rural Livelihoods projects, learning from the project and providing clear budgetary information

Compile funding proposals based on past evaluation, team discussion and International best practice in an engaging and professional manner

Conduct internet searches and searches through SEED’s funder database for potential donors to fund projects

Take a leading role in gathering statistics and ensure that all existing statistics relating to the projects are accurate

Work alongside the Communications and Media Officer to build a communications plan for the Environment and Rural Livelihoods projects, writing regular Facebook, blog posts and website copy

Support the development of projects that fulfill local need and sit within the aims of SEED taking into account research findings, local needs and constraints, government objectives and SEED’s previous experience

Conduct research into international best practice with regard to Environment and Rural Livelihoods programmes and take the lead in discussing these with the team

Monitor and update project trackers according to project activities, ensuring the project is on track to meet project indicators and objectives

This Community Center was founded in 1994 and began as a soup kitchen until it expanded into a kindergarten with the help of the mothers from the area. The soup kitchen cooks for the kindergarten and the people from the town. Thus, this organization is based on working with families and children, supporting them in their growing and development process, with a team of professionals and social workers.
Tasks
The kitchen prepares breakfast and lunch for the kids in the kindergarten and it also prepares food for the community members. The volunteer will be able to help in many tasks such as assist the women in the kitchen by washing and cutting vegetables, preparing the dessert for the children and help in the cleaning process after everything is served.

Your help is invaluable for the workers and for the community members because this center is an integral part of their everyday life. Furthermore, the ladies and workers would not be able to participate in this cultural exchange if there aren’t any volunteers willing to help. The women also love helping the volunteers learn a bit of Spanish because they are like family to them. Here, the volunteer can learn so much about the Argentinian culture and see how many traditional dishes are prepared. Timeline
The strategic planning will commence immediately upon the start of the shared role. The goal is to attract a pool of at least 200 parents to book regular tutorials through the charity’s website within a timeframe of 6 months. However, the timeline may be subject to adjustments.
Work Schedule
This is an unpaid and voluntary role. Each candidate should not work more than 20 hours per week, but there is flexibility to accommodate the needs and schedules of team members.

About EduSpots
EduSpots is a UK and Ghanaian registered organisation which connects, trains, and equips local volunteers to drive sustainable community-led change through education centres named ‘Spots’. Together, we are creating a movement of community-based educators. Since 2016, through working with over 300 local volunteers, we have supported nearly 50 communities in creating community-led education spaces (libraries) named ‘Spots’, with an aim to move them towards our ‘Dream Spot Model’.

Internship opportunity
We are looking for highly independent and self-motivated interns who are keen to gain practical skills and understanding relating to education and international development, and provide wide-ranging support to our team in Ghana and the UK, to enable us to increase our impact in a period of growth.
The internship will be remote for 3 months starting as soon as possible, with the opportunity of extending this period. The time is 8 hours / week but this can be spread out throughout the week. Due to limited organisational time, we need interns to be committed to the work, supoprting as needs emerge, and able to work independently. We will consider interns in any geographical location.
You will gain huge insight into education and international development through learning and being inspired on a daily basis on WhatsApp by our active network of 250 volunteers in rural Ghana who are the main focus of our work and our reason for existence.
Key areas of delivery
We have three areas of internship offer currently:
1. Communciations Intern - working with our Head of Communications on a wide range of communications tasks. You should have strong writing and research skills, alongside beginner design and content creation abilities.
2. Programmes Team Intern - working with our Education & Research Manager to support tasks across the programmes team. This is likely to include design work (using basic Canva), alongside wider proof-reading and research/evaluation work, based on emerging needs.
3. Leadership Team Intern - working with our regional coordinator team and Head of Operations to support the leadership development of our local Catalysts - tasks are likely to involve design work, marking their monthly challenges, and offering administrative and proof reading support where needed.
For all three roles, candidates should be highly felxible and be ready to develop basic Canva design skills if you don't have these skills already. You would join all team meetings and our in-house professional development programme.

Purpose
An Oxfordshire Youth Hospital Navigator Volunteer will provide support to Oxfordshire Youth staff and young people within our Hospital Navigator scheme. The post holder will passionately believe in the potential of all young people to achieve their goals.

Oxfordshire Youth Hospital Navigators Volunteers do not have fixed hours, but commit to flexible hours to suit their availability and staff needs. Shifts are available 7 days per week.
Join our dynamic team YPSA Team to coordinate the ground-breaking Intervention programme - Hospital Navigator. With an increase in the number of young people presenting at emergency departments due to serious violence, mental health issues, and substance abuse, we are addressing an urgent need for signposting young people to support services following discharge from A&E.
The Hospital Navigators will establish trust with young people who arrive at the JR hospital due to pre-existing concerns such as substance addiction, mental health issues, personal care, and violence itself. When in the hospital, there is an opportunity for the young person to reflect and be open to intervention. A volunteer in a dedicated Navigator role would request permission to refer the young person to a third-party agency that can provide the necessary specialist support. This moment may assist in redirecting the young person back into the community via a different pathway. The volunteer would connect them with a local support agency/charity that would assist them in reintegrating into the community, building resilience, and providing mentoring to prevent repeat occurrences that could lead to their hospitalisation.
The Navigator Coordinator will supervise Hospital Navigator volunteers. Once the navigator has gained the young person's trust and agreement, they will prepare an assessment and referral form that includes the type of difficulties, services available for referral, and the type of communication the client prefers.
Main volunteering duties
● Work within a busy A&E and the Medical Assessment Unit (MAU) within JR hospital setting
● Liaise with the triage nurse team once people are medically cleared, to screen and offer signposting to appropriate services outside of the hospital
● Liaise with the A&E rapid response team to identify patients readmitted multiple times, and offer information to try to help reduce further re-admission
● Require administrative skills and be able to use IT, including finding out information from the internet on where and how to access services.
● Work within a team of people including doctors, nurses, and physiotherapists.
● Some important skills include good communication with people, and the ability to listen and build trust in a relatively short time frame.
This role profile is subject to amendment following discussion with the post holder and daily tasks will be determined by the needs of the young people and staff.
What you will gain
You will gain valuable experience and receive high-quality training to ensure you feel confident and motivated to support different aspects of Youth work. You will learn about teamwork, building and maintaining groups and recognising group dynamics.
Available training includes Safeguarding Levels 1 and 2 and GDPR. In addition, it will be possible to have further discussions about available opportunities for a Diploma in Youth Work Practice. Please note that some of this training is mandatory and you will only be able to volunteer if you complete this training.
All volunteers must undergo a DBS check.

The aim of the role is to promote connection by developing and facilitating social groups and activities within the local serving community.

What will you be doing?
Although every SSAFA Team has different needs, below are the main activities of a Community Connection Champion:
- Creating and Planning: Working with the Project Officer to plan, develop and organise groups and activities that are best suited to their local serving community.
- Communication and Teamwork: Keeping in touch with the local Community Volunteer Coordinator and attending s meetings.
- Networking and Engagement: Reaching out with those who are interested in attending activities, providing support and encouragement for them to attend, including those who face barriers to attending.
- Facilitating group sessions: Delivering group activities in line with agreed plans, signposting attendees to external support as required and in line with SSAFA’s safeguarding policy and procedures.
- Recording and reporting on activities: Sharing activity plans with the SSAFA Project Team, tracking attendance, and encouraging attendees to complete the relevant paperwork to support Project reporting and development.

To support around 100 Afghan and Muslim girls, aged 8-16, from refugee communities to develop their participation in football. The project will enable them to develop football skills and knowledge, participate in games, and socialise in a female-only culturally appropriate ambience but within the wider open-access setting of public sports facilities and local parks. The project will give the girls confidence to participate, reassure their parents that their cultural practices are being respected, and increase the visibility of girls’ participation in sport among the wider community.
This project will enable these girls, who are often excluded from mainstream sport, to play football for their physical and psychological health. It challenges public stereotypes and under-representation of Afghan and Muslim girls in community sport. ACAA will create opportunities for them to play football in public spaces in West London. This volunteer will work alongside the Football Project Coordinator and Head Coach to run sessions.
Responsibilities
Assist with Training Sessions: Work alongside coaches to organize and run training sessions for young children, focusing on fundamental skills such as dribbling, passing, shooting, and basic game tactics.
Provide Support during Matches: Attend matches and provide support to both players and coaches, offering encouragement, guidance, and assistance as needed.
Promote Sportsmanship: Emphasize the importance of teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship among players, helping to create a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the club.
