Our services are delivered by a team of around 40 paid staff and 60 volunteers. Supported by existing project funding and a long-term grant from the Access to Justice Foundation, we’re looking for two people to join our Senior Management Team and help lead the next phase of our innovative and award-winning development work. The Head of Core Service and Head of Community Partnerships will work together to:

• Continue developing our approach to community engagement, helping reduce access barriers for people from the most marginalised communities.
• Embed changes to our core service that make it more accessible and responsive to those communities.

Both roles also have overall responsibility for a range of funded projects and services and, as leaders and managers, responsibility for:

• Ensuring we live up to our values, standards and ambitions.
• Managing contracts and relationships with funders, partners and other stakeholders.
• Developing organisational strategy and identifying new funding and partnership opportunities.

With a focus on operational compliance and core delivery, the Head of Core Service role would suit applicants with a strong track record of managing advice services, ideally within the Citizens Advice network. We’re not necessarily looking for someone with an advice background for the Head of Community Partnerships role, but great project management, people management and relationship building skills are essential. Purpose of the Post

• To Provide financial leadership and to be accountable for financial reporting to the leadership team, Board, and stakeholders.
• To be responsible for effective management of the day-to-day office administration, and HR processes.
• To undertake company secretarial duties to ensure compliance with statutory requirement and relevant legislation.
• To work directly with the leadership team and board supporting business planning, organisational development, and to ensure Eclipse meets its aims and objectives.

The Finance and Operations Manager is a key relationship for internal staff and suppliers as well as fielding enquiries from artists, partners and the general public.

Terms and Conditions

Salary: £35,000 gross per annum (pro rata if applicable)

Location: Working from home with some working from company office in Leeds with reasonable notice

FTE / Hours: Full Time (1.0 FTE) at 35 hours per week, plus a compulsory break for one hour. Part-time options of 0.5 to 0.8 FTE would be accepted.

Role responsibilities
The Finance & Operations Manager is responsible for:

Finance

• Preparation, monitoring, and control of the budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Provision of clear and timely management accounts to the senior team and Board of Trustees.
• Administration of the company’s financial systems through day-to-day bookkeeping including data entry, management of petty cash, processing of invoices and bank reconciliation.
• Liaising with the external payroll provider and payment of monthly salaries.
• Overseeing the preparation of the annual statutory accounts and management of the annual independent examination.
• Supporting in the delivery of an annual report or funder reports as needed, including Arts Council England NPO reporting requirements and quarterly payment conditions. 

Governance

• Leading on the arrangements for Board Meetings and Away Days: minute taking, writing and circulating agenda and documentation, post-meeting minutes and communicating with the Trustees pre-meeting on location, time and attendance.
• Regularly reviews the company’s policy making – ensuring the company maintains and abides by its policies e.g. Safeguarding, Health & Safety, Environmental and Staff Handbook.

Administration & HR

• Day to day responsibility for managing the HR function of the company.
• Keeping in contact with and responding in a timely manner to any queries from key stakeholders.
• Support the organisation to maintain key relationships and deliver report writing.
• General administration and office management lead.
• Management of the company calendar.
• Administration of company compliance and reporting to statutory bodies e.g. Companies House and the Charities Commission.
• Working as a central point of contact through phone and email.
• Management of the company administration systems.

As our Senior Regional Partnerships Manager, you’ll be responsible for developing, leading, and managing British Heart Foundation’s (BHF) UK-wide Regional Partnerships Team to ensure that targets for new business acquisition and account management are achieved.

The Finance and Resources Team is responsible for responsible for HI’s finances, general services and HR in the UK. It comprises the Chief Finance and Operating Officer, a Finance Officer and an Accounting Officer.

The main purpose of this post is:

• To ensure smooth and efficient running of the HI UK office, including office services, IT, internal communications and health & safety
• To act as a key point of contact within the organisation and externally

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations

• Maintain the office facilities and environment to agreed service levels
• Act as primary point of contact with the landlord and all suppliers for the office space, proactively dealing with arising issues
• Be responsible for the operation and maintenance of office equipment and IT equipment for all staff and volunteers, and arrange their repair or replacement, in conjunction with the Finance Officer and the Accounting Officer, as need arises
• Act as principal contact person for HI UK’s IT infrastructure and support provider, helping colleagues to access IT support when required and developing and implementing the organisation’s IT strategy
• Manage budget lines associated with running of the office and participate in procurement, primarily of office and IT supplies, liaising with external suppliers.
• Act as designated Health & Safety Officer for the office, including ensuring Health & Safety policies are up to date and being adhered to
• Continually review systems in place within the office, make improvements where required, and communicate these to relevant people

Human Resources

• Provide administrative support and advice for the recruitment of staff, consultants and volunteers, including advertising, interviews, issue of contracts and inductions, liaising with the federation manager and recruitment teams when relevant
• Assist with other HR tasks, including managing staff and volunteer files, managing the HR information system, administrative support for payroll and contributing to updates of the staff handbook
• Support teams on volunteer recruitment, contracts, induction, support and training
• Maintain an up-to-date welcome kit for new starters and provide and coordinate induction training sessions

· Make sure that HR policies and internal processes are updated and well known by all the staff

The Hear Here Project is a collaboration between the Diocese, Parishes, NHS Audiology Departments and Sight for Surrey to assist those who wear an NHS-issued hearing aid with any technical issues at clinics run by trained hearing champions. The clinics work to reduce social isolation through the maintenance of hearing devices, conversation, and friendship.

Key Responsibilities include:

· Manage a team of volunteers to ensure clinics run consistently, safely, and according to required standards.

About the team

The outbound Supporter Services team is based in Sheffield, this role is part of our Income Generation directorate within the Individual Giving team and works in collaboration with our Services teams based in Sheffield. The Supporter Services team manage outbound calling activity which underpins the income raised by the Individual Giving team.

The team provides high quality services for new and existing Shelter supports helping to promote Shelter’s work, raise awareness of house and homelessness and enhance the organisation’s ability to retain and recruit supporters.

About the role

You will report into the Resource & Support Manager and develop the tele-fundraising team through active coaching, guidance and as an escalation point. You will be responsible for developing the direction of and delivering the outbound calling programme which includes anniversary and welcome calling to our supporter and leading in the testing and development of campaigns.

You’ll also be responsible for management of our supporter services outbound calling team and acting as an escalation point for any complaints, as well as being the training and development lead for tele-fundraisers supporting them to deliver high quality calls and build workplace skills for the future.

To be a successful in the role you will need to have in depth experience of working in a customer service setting in a supervisory capacity where you’ve supported colleagues in career development. Along with, proven experience of collaborative working with setting targets and supporting a team to achieve these and introducing new ideas, methods, and ways of working critiquing campaigns and activity to assess and improve.

About the role
We are seeking an experienced individual to lead our volunteer development activity. Working closely with
the Fundraising, Delivery and Marketing teams, this is a varied role working with alumni and employee
volunteers to support activities in our member schools.

You will lead on the development of our volunteer community which is managed online through the Future
First Hub, and be responsible for developing and delivering a programme of activities that nurture
relationships with Future First’s diverse audience of volunteers, and increases support for the charity’s
fundraising and development goals.

You will have excellent customer service skills, be proactive and detail oriented and have the ability to
manage multiple projects at any one time. You will be confident in the use of standard office technology, as
well as experienced in the use of databases and IT applications.

Key Duties and responsibilities

• To be responsible for developing Future First’s volunteer relations strategy, and associated budget with a particular focus on the development of an engaged community, and a focus on the needs of employee volunteer schemes.
• To seek opportunities to raise the profile of the volunteer network, and grow its capacity and reach.
• To develop our work mapping and implementing recommendations against the Investing in Volunteers standard.

Salary and Holiday

· Working With: Other members of the wider A4Y team, schools, key partners including the management partner, young people and parent/guardians.

 Main Purpose and Scope of the Role

 This programme is part of a consortium bid via the NCS Community Grant scheme and will run from September 2023 until the end of March 2025. NCS is a government-funded initiative that brings together schools, community organisations, businesses and individuals to build a stronger and more cohesive society.

This role will work independently to deliver the Grow Your Ambition programme for young people aged 16/17 years across Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes. The programme will be delivered in partnership with local schools, during term time, and includes three experiences; Grow Your Life Skills, Grow Your Employability and Grow Your Community. This role is a fixed term contract until the end of March 2025.

Each young person engaged in the programme must participate in all three experiences, totalling 48 hours. Key phases of each experience include preparation, session and curriculum planning, liaising with schools and external partners and actual programme delivery.

 Each programme consists of:

Grow your Life Skills

· A two day, one night, residential experience at our outdoor education centre, Caldecotte Xperience in Milton Keynes.

· Two outdoor adventurous activities on site that focus on teambuilding, communication and problem solving.

· Delivery of Life Skills sessions such as a cooking challenge, money skills, First Aid, mental resilience and more

· Total 24 hours

Grow Your Employability

· Two days based in school, delivered in line with the school day

· Delivery of a variety of Employability sessions such as personal presentation, confident speaking, CV writing and interview skills

· Total 12 hours

Grow Your Community

· Two days based in school, delivered in line with the school day

· One day delivery of a variety of sessions based on social action and community engagement

· One day volunteering with a local charity

· Total 12 hours

Duties and Key Responsibilities

 · Contact and recruit schools from across Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes to sign up to the programme

· Organise delivery dates and programme timetables for their students within the contractual requirements of the programme

· Plan each programme and create a timetable of activities for students to follow

· Deliver sessions to groups of students as per each experience

· Stay overnight for the Grow Your Life Skills residential

• Work with local community organisations to host volunteering days

· Work within a set budget to deliver the programme, ensuring each experience is delivered to a high standard

· Enter data onto the NCS/ Action4Youth CRM system

· Deliver a high quality programme to young people across Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes as per contractual requirements

Our ESOL service was established in 2017 and now runs 5 days per week and offers English lessons for resettled refugees and an English Club with an emphasis on learning skills for integration into UK society. We are a growing team of ESOL tutors and creche teams providing training to help refugees and their families to resettle in Bedford Borough and Central Bedfordshire.

SUMMARY OF POST

The ESOL Creche Deputy is a qualified childcare professional able to deputise and support the ESOL Creche Team Leader. You perform a key role caring for children, maintaining a high-quality, stimulating learning environment and imparting your knowledge and skills to others. You are a creative and reflective leader able to implement new ideas and use a range of strategies to continually improve practice. You will also be expected to hold a minimum NNEB/NVQ Level 2 in Children’s Care Learning & Development, or equivalent qualification and will have experience of working with pre-school age children.
