About Woman’s Trust
The charity was established in 1996 to meet the gap in specialist mental health services. Woman’s Trust is led by and for women and aims to ensure that women affected by domestic abuse can live a life free from further harm and abuse. Our approach is trauma-informed and person-centred, empowering survivors on their journey to recovery from the trauma. Alongside delivering our existing 1-1 counselling, self-development workshops and therapeutic support groups for women who have experienced domestic abuse, we are focused on developing our innovative mental health services for young women and girls, delivering new peer-led support groups and providing therapeutic groups to children and their mothers. We are also committed to developing further awareness-raising workshops and training for professionals, building on our research and policy to improve systems nationally.
Background
The lack of recognition of domestic abuse as a mental health issue within the NHS leads to delayed and inadequate support for survivors. This gap in understanding and response often result in survivors only being able to access and receive appropriate care when their mental health deteriorates to the point of requiring secondary mental health services (Women’s Aid 2021). Meta analysis suggests that CBT, one of the NHS’s most prescribed approaches for mental ill-health, is not the best approach for domestic abuse survivors as it does not recognise and take into account the external factors and dynamics of abuse, specifically power and control, the role of the perpetrator and the resulting trauma for the survivor.
In March 2025, WT published its first major report, ‘Living Without Hope’ which consolidates existing and increasing academic, government and sector research demonstrating the significant impact of domestic abuse on women’s mental health. Outlining the current agency responses at national, regional and local levels and the gaps in provision; the report also makes recommendations for change and improvement across the VAWG and health sectors.
Building on the research highlighted in our ‘Living Without Hope’ report, WT has secured funding to work with key stakeholders in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea to examine the links between domestic abuse and mental health, the specific experiences of Arab and Moroccan women and their access to safe, appropriate services that meet their needs.
Purpose
This is an exciting new role and will be focused on developing Woman’s Trust’s (WT) response to addressing the systemic issues female survivors of domestic abuse face when trying to access support.
Working with key stakeholders in the London Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (LBKC) and specifically Al-Hasniya to ensure that professionals have a clearer understanding of the link between domestic abuse and mental health and its impact on survivors.
Contract & hours: Part-time, 22.5 hours per week (0.6 FTE). Fixed term as dependant on funding.
Location: Woman’s Trust premises including co-location with statutory partners and community partnership locations.

The Innovation, Development Fundraising Manager is a new role within the charity. The purpose of this position is to work with the Senior Leadership Team and other staff members to:
· Help develop and fund new activities in our existing services.
· Through the development and modelling of pilot projects, help the SLT with the implementation of our three-year strategy and seek funding through trust and grant foundations for the delivery of the above.
· Collaborate with the Chief Executive to identify and apply for new funding streams that support the work and growth of the charity and build on our current service delivery.
You will seek to develop and diversify the base of supporters and to achieve fundraising targets working with the CEO and SLT, supported by the board of trustees. We want to continue with our local services contracted income but also to develop other income streams, expand our supporter networks and build our sustainability for the future.
The successful candidate will also develop and maintain appropriate relationships with trusts, foundations and their representatives, ensuring the highest quality of stewardship and cultivation of a proactive relationship-based approach to seeking new funding opportunities.
Working as part of a small leadership team and, reporting to the Chief Executive, you’ll capitalise on our success in partnering with some large addiction treatment providers. These have delivered innovative approaches to recovery across London.
With this backdrop, we will look to you to develop and deliver successful plans to diversify and optimise our income as well as developing the tools, processes and internal expertise to ensure sustainability.
The post holder would have the opportunity of working with a passionate, dedicated small central team, with a positive team spirit. There is a high level of commitment to developing this new area of income generation from management and trustees providing the post holder with the opportunity to excel and meet strategic targets.
Responsibilities and main duties:
o Work closely with the CEO, Board of Trustees, and others in the leadership team to develop and spearhead delivery of a funding and financial plan that will enable delivery of our mission, strategy 2026-29 and delivering our financial strategic objectives.
o Proactively research and develop opportunities from trusts and foundations, developing a funding database and pipeline.
o Working with the CEO and service managers, initializing, and developing projects, producing compelling funding proposals and grant applications, initiating prospect meetings, and confidently pitching new funders to successfully convert prospects to funders or donors.
o Work with the leadership team and local service managers, and volunteers to fundraise local community support activity in the areas we operate in.
o Explore and test new fundraising approaches (such as events and corporate) to further grow and diversify income,
o Research and implement the introduction of a suitable CRM system to maintain accurate records of all fundraising activity (including contracted income), providing high quality reports to the leadership team, CEO and trustees, and to develop a data led approach to future fundraising.
o Manage and monitor ongoing funder reporting, ensuring that effective records of grant/funding bids and their conditions are kept and strictly adhered to by project leads, and that interim and end of project reporting is completed to a high standard, consulting with project leads where appropriate.
o Build and sustain strong relationships with a broad range of funding individuals and organizations, using a wide range of appropriate stewardship approaches to develop and retain their support for Build on Belief.
o Stay informed of existing and new fundraising legislation and ensure all fundraising activities are compliant with the Code of Fundraising Practice and all other statutory obligations, maintaining and communicating internal policies as appropriate.
o Actively instill an organizational culture of fundraising, ensuring that everyone in the organization, including our trustees, understands and contributes to our fundraising strategy.
o Develop a good working knowledge of the charity’s activities, our approaches to addiction and recovery and some of the wider evidence base to tackle addiction and dependency to represent BoB authoritatively to supporters and external audiences.
Experience

We are recruiting for a Fundraising Development Manager to join on a full-time basis, working 35 hours per week. This is a fixed-term, maternity cover contract for 12 months with an ideal start date in April 2026. This is a home-based role, though you will be required to occasionally travel into London (once a month maximum).
As Fundraising Development Manager, your role will be vital to the success of Alzheimer’s Society’s fundraising and engagement activities which are led and supported by our Development boards. You will play an important part in the delivery of our Insurance United Against Dementia (IUAD) campaign, a movement in partnership with senior level supporters from the insurance industry. This award-winning campaign has raise £12million to date and set a target to reach £20million by 2030 to fund projects that will accelerate progress towards beating dementia - while helping raise awareness of Alzheimer’s Society and increase understanding of the UK’s biggest killer.
You will be responsible for securing and maximising income from multiple channels, including our annual flagship industry fundraising event – Insurance Day for Dementia. You will support individual and team high value fundraising challenges, and lead communications activity with these influential supporters and their sector, utilising relationships with industry media and tools including LinkedIn.
To achieve success, you will manage relationships with insurance industry professionals at the highest levels. You will also support (where required) on activities through Sport United Against Dementia (SUAD), our comparable campaign led by some of the most senior figures in the world of sport. This may include developing tools for industry supporters and activities or supporting activation opportunities at exciting sporting events. Ultimately, this role will give you the chance to use your skills to deliver meaningful impact on the lives of people affected by dementia.

About you
Joining us, you will have experience of working in a high-value fundraising team or equivalent environment, with a track record of meeting and exceeding financial and KPI targets. You’ll have experience of successfully overseeing projects or managing events from start to finish.

The need
To grow Citizen Zoo sustainably, we need to grow our secure unrestricted income. Our monthly, direct debit membership currently brings in around £10k per year, and we’re aiming to grow this towards £60K per year within the first 12 months (or 1,000 equivalent members), through improved digital acquisition, better retention, and a strong on-the-ground recruitment presence across London.

The Team & The Role
We’re a not-for-profit social enterprise with a team who mostly work from home in London. You’ll work as part of this remote team from home, our shared desk spaces in central London, and out on the ground at events, partner venues and project sites across the city and beyond. You’ll work closely with delivery and communications colleagues to turn audiences (visitors, volunteers, event attendees, online supporters) into loyal members, and ensure members receive a positive, joined-up experience that retains them long term.
What you’ll do
You will own and deliver a data-led membership growth plan that increases acquisition, improves retention, and grows member value (including upgrades from £3 → £5/month over time). You’ll sharpen Citizen Zoo’s membership proposition so it clearly connects supporters to our impact, and you’ll turn that into campaigns and activity that consistently convert interest into monthly direct debits.
Digitally, you’ll create and optimise the online join journey (landing pages, forms and messaging) and run recruitment activity across email and social. You’ll work with agency partners to plan and launch Meta and/or Google campaigns, shape and iterate creative, manage a monthly marketing budget, and improve cost-per-join and conversion rates through ongoing performance monitoring.
For retention, you’ll build joined-up supporter journeys from welcome/onboarding through impact updates, renewal/retention thorough engagement and exclusive membership offerings, upgrade prompts and lapsed reactivation. You’ll use segmentation and insight to keep communications relevant, strengthen the member experience, and reduce churn.
On the ground, you’ll lead in-person recruitment across Greater London at events, fairs, community days and partner sites, setting up an effective stand, engaging the public, and signing people up to direct debit. You’ll keep improving the recruitment “kit” (scripts, FAQs, signage, QR codes and follow-up journeys) and coordinate volunteer/colleague support when needed.
Ideal candidates will also focus on lifetime value (LTV) of supporting members and as such be able to work towards an appropriate cost-per-acquisition target (CPA).
Minimum requirements

- Demonstrable experience growing income or supporters through membership, regular giving, direct marketing, subscriptions, fundraising, or performance marketing.

Success measures (first year)

You will be expected to help grow membership income from around £10k/year towards £60K/year, supported by clear monthly targets, a functioning reporting dashboard, and evidence-based optimisation of messaging, channels, and supporter journeys. You’ll also put in place a retention programme that reduces churn and increases lifetime value, so membership becomes a reliable, scalable source of unrestricted funding for Citizen Zoo’s rewilding work.
Working Hours
At Citizen Zoo we have standard working hours from 09:00–17:30, but team members can start earlier or later if agreed with your line manager. This role will require occasional evening and weekend work, particularly around events and recruitment opportunities, and this is given back as time off in lieu.
Location
Must be able to travel regularly across all of London, and across other parts of Greater London, to deliver events and recruitment activity.

Caxton Youth Organisation:
Caxton Youth Organisation is the only specialist youth club of its kind for learning disabled and autistic young people in Westminster aged 11 to 25. There is nowhere quite like Caxton Youth Club; that’s what the young people we work with and their families tell us, and we passionately believe it too.
Caxton has been around for 77 years, quite something for a small but mighty charity, and our longevity says so much about the importance of the services we provide to ensure young people with disabilities in Westminster are able to advance in their personal development, develop a sense of belonging in our community, and lead independent and fulfilling lives.
The majority of our work is delivered at our dedicated youth club in South Westminster. Our youth work team focus on young people’s social and emotional wellbeing, independence, employability, creating community and opportunities, social action and health & getting active. All these topics are explored during weekly youth club sessions which take place in the evenings, and young people are supported to attend thanks to our very own Caxton minibus which collects and drops participants home across the borough. During school holidays we run trips, including residential trips, giving our members the opportunity to experience life outside London, and parents and caregivers some much needed respite.
Essential Safer Recruitment Criteria
1. A cleared Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check at an enhanced level. This check is necessary as the work involves dealing with or having access to children and vulnerable adults whilst undertaking normal duties.
2. The candidate must be able to provide at least two relevant references prior to taking up the post.

Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK. You will also be required to work from our London office/clubrooms at a minimum of once a fortnight, preferably once a week, as part of our hybrid arrangements
