What You’ll Be Doing

• Collaborating across the Charity and the hospital to identify opportunities where patient and supporter stories can amplify fundraising and awareness.
• Interviewing patients, families, and supporters to create powerful stories for fundraising materials, campaigns, and digital platforms.
• Building and stewarding relationships with case studies, ensuring diversity, representation, and sensitive management across all communications.
• Reviewing and shaping case study briefs to ensure clear objectives and agreed criteria are met.
• Maintaining and auditing the case study database to keep an up‑to‑date, ethically managed bank of stories and images.

Job Purpose

The finance team is a core part of our Operations Directorate, and although we’re a small team we have a huge impact on the effectiveness of our organisation. The team provides support and guidance to all staff members on how to process invoices, expenses, and generally manage their budgets effectively. The main purpose of the Finance Officer role is to provide key support to the finance team with our finance processes, supporting staff members across the organisation, helping with any queries on a day-to-day basis, as well as supporting our members and suppliers with queries. The Finance Officer ensures all financial transactions are processed in accordance with BSR’s procedures and processes and in line with data protection regulations. 

You don’t need to have worked in the charity sector previously. Continual professional development is vital for us as a team, and so we’re happy to support you if you’re interested in completing a professional finance qualification.

Main Responsibilities

Purchase Ledger 

• Receive all supplier invoices (including member expenses), checking correct finance codes with relevant nominal, department, project, VAT and fund codes are on all invoices, and that the necessary authorisation is present 
• Scan and file all finance related documents (e.g. bank statements)  
• Set up fortnightly supplier payment runs for review by the Finance Manager 

 Sales Ledger 

• Work with budget holders and project leads to produce sales invoices  
• Liaise with budget holders to ensure correct coding of all invoices (nominal, department, project, VAT, and fund codes) 
• Credit Control – dealing with customer queries and chasing for payments fortnightly 

Other Finance Responsibilities 

• Manage monthly credit card process including posting in Dext and reconciliation in Xero  
• Assist the Finance Manager with preparing for year end and audit fieldwork 
• Reconcile purchase ledger payments with the bank transactions 
• Run new starter finance inductions for budget holders and set up new staff on finance systems 
• Maintain process documents for all finance systems 
• Suggest and support relevant finance system and process improvements where identified 
• Be the first point of contact for finance systems and internal system integrations 

Payroll 

• Ensure new starters are processed by HR 
• Process leavers  
• Exported payroll reports and ensuring that they are filed in the correct place 
• Run the monthly payroll with Finance Manager 
• Submission of EPS and FPS to HMRC 
• Pensions administration

Committee Management 

• Minute-taking for Finance & Risk Committee meetings 
• Administrative support relating to committee management

As a core member of the Executive Team, the Director of Development will lead on organisational income generation and operational development. Working closely with the CEO, Presidents, this role will oversee all fundraising, partnerships, communications, and internal operations, ensuring STT is financially strong, strategically aligned, and operationally effective.

Leadership & Team Management

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Fundraising Officer to join the fundraising team at the Batten Disease Family Association CIO (BDFA).

The BDFA, founded in 1998 is the only patient organisation in the UK for families affected by Batten disease, a rare and terminal neurodegenerative condition that affects children and young adults. The BDFA offers informed guidance and support to families and the professionals who work with them, as well as actively raising awareness, and promoting research into the management of Batten disease to improve patient care pathways and ultimately find a cure.

This is an exciting time to join the charity, which has grown to offer additional support services for families affected by Batten disease and to implementing a long-term strategy to develop its advocacy, education and research capabilities. We’re looking for an individual who has some experience in fundraising, particularly leading on all aspects of community fundraising, developing and nurturing relationships with volunteer fundraising groups and individual supporters. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of our CEO to develop community fundraising maximising the funds raised by volunteer fundraisers and developing supporter engagement. The successful candidate will also work alongside our Trusts and Foundations Fundraising Officer to support our Trusts and Foundations income generation.

The Ideal Candidate for this role will have:

- Experience in all aspects of community fundraising including events, assisting fundraisers to develop imaginative fundraising ideas and inspiring new supporters to raise funds whilst maintaining relationships with existing supporters

- Experience in building and sustaining long-term relationships with fundraising groups and individual supporters

- Experience in managing effective and creative fundraising communications on social media and the website

- Ability to contribute to the overall Trusts and Foundations income stream, including proactively researching and identifying grant funding opportunities 

- Ability to lead on creative fundraising campaigns around key events such as Batten disease awareness day and Christmas

Development Manager

Purpose of the Role 

The Development Manager will play a vital role in expanding The Churchill Fellowship’s income from Trusts, Foundations, and other institutional funders. Working closely with the Development Director, the post holder will identify, cultivate and secure new funding partnerships that support our core Fellowship programme, unrestricted income, and the Activate Programme in line with our organisational priorities. 

The postholder will manage the full funder journey, from initial engagement to long-term stewardship, ensuring all relationships are grown and managed professionally and effectively. They will work closely with relevant departments to coordinate proposals, reports, and communications, helping maintain strong connections with funders.

Key responsibilities 

Prospecting and Pipeline Development 

• Research and identify new potential supporters, primarily from the Trusts & Foundations sector, with some engagement of aligned individuals or family-foundation prospects in conjunction with the wider Development Team.

• Support the Development Director in delivering targeted cultivation and engagement strategies to grow new income streams.

• Build and maintain a healthy, dynamic pipeline of qualified new business opportunities. 

• Monitor sector trends to identify emerging supporters and new partnership opportunities 

Approaches and Proposal Development 

• Prepare tailored, persuasive funding proposals, applications, and cases for support, drawing on internal expertise and materials. 

• Lead on initial engagement with new prospects, coordinating meetings, briefings and follow-up communications. 

• Manage the cultivation process ensuring prospects receive timely and professional engagement throughout. 

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proposals are accurate, evidence-based and aligned with organisational objectives.

Relationship Management 

• Act as the key contact for donors and funders secured through this role, managing relationships and ensuring continuity of communication. 

• Work closely with the Development Director, Appeal Director and CEO to coordinate senior-level involvement in funder engagement where appropriate. 

• Ensure accurate monitoring, evaluation and reporting for all grants, providing timely updates and impact information to funders. Liaise with colleagues across the organisation to identify when and how internal contacts or senior volunteers can support prospect engagement, ensuring this complements any existing relationships or approaches. 

Internal Collaboration and Systems 

• Record all activity in Salesforce, ensuring accurate data capture on all prospect and funder activity. 

• Contribute to income forecasting and team reporting

• Collaborate with colleagues across departments to align fundraising approaches with strategic initiatives, ensuring consistent messaging and shared priorities. 

General 

• Ensure fundraising activity complies with relevant regulations, GDPR, and due diligence processes and ethical fundraising policies 

• Support Development team events and activities as required, occasionally outside normal working hours.

Person Specification

Qualification: 

• Degree level or equivalent transferable skills - Desirable

Skills and Experience 

• 3 - 5 years’ experience in a fundraising, grants or donor facing role, particularly prospecting new funders 
• Proven success in securing funding from Trusts & Foundations or HNWIs, particularly new business (one-off or multiyear grants and repeat grants) 
• Strong experience in research & prospect identification for trusts/foundations or major donors 
• Excellent proposal/application writing, with ability to tailor cases to funder priorities 
• Good interpersonal and communication skills — able to engage funders at senior levels and with colleagues internally 
• Strong organisational skills, managing multiple proposals and deadlines simultaneously 
• Proficiency with CRM systems (preferably Salesforce) and using it to manage pipeline / prospect data 
• Ability to interpret and present information (budgets, impact data, reports) clearly to funders and internal stakeholders 
• Ability to work both independently and in collaboration with senior staff, trustees and senior volunteers 
• Knowledge of fundraising regulations, due diligence and GDPR

The Role

The HR Administrator will provide essential administrative and coordination support across the charity, ensuring that HR processes run smoothly and efficiently. As a small operational team with limited capacity, we are seeking additional support to ease the administrative workload currently carried by managers and the Finance & HR Manager. The postholder will help ensure staff are onboarded and supported consistently, that key HR tasks are completed on time, and that accurate records and documentation are maintained. This role focuses on strong organisation, attention to detail, and customer service rather than HR expertise, with access to external HR advice available when needed.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Interview Administration

• Post job adverts and support recruitment administration, including scheduling interviews and coordinating candidate communications.
• Assist hiring managers with preparing interview materials and ensuring recruitment documents are filed appropriately.
• Carry out pre-employment compliance checks such as right-to-work verification.

Onboarding & Offboarding

• Prepare and issue contracts of employment and set up new starters in the HR portal.
• Calculate and communicate holiday entitlement for new starters.
• Support new employees during onboarding by responding to routine queries and ensuring required information is collected.
• Manage DBS/PVG applications and renewals, ensuring certificates are returned and recorded. Track references
• Support the offboarding process: acknowledge resignations, confirm holiday balances, and ensure all documentation is completed.

HR Administration & Employee Lifecycle Support

• Process changes to staff records including hours changes, contract updates, promotions, or flexible working arrangements.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee information in the HR portal, including absence recording.
• Respond to day-to-day HR queries from staff and managers, signposting to the Finance & HR Manager or external HR support when needed.
• Update HR templates, documents, and policies on the HR portal.
• Monitor and track probation reviews and send reminders to managers.

Compliance, Training & HR Systems

• Track and record completion of mandatory training (e.g. safeguarding, GDPR, health & safety).
• Ensure digital and paper records comply with GDPR and safeguarding requirements.
• Assist with the implementation and ongoing administration of a new HR system or portal. Support the annual review of HR policies by updating documentation and coordinating communication

Skills and Qualifications

• Experience in an administrative or coordination role, preferably within a busy office or operational environment.
• Exposure to HR processes (such as onboarding, record-keeping, or recruitment admin) OR a willingness to learn and develop HR process knowledge.
• Good understanding of the basic steps involved in HR administration (e.g., issuing contracts, updating records, tracking absence).
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and maintain attention to detail.
• Confident in using digital systems and maintaining accurate records; experience with HR systems is helpful but not essential.
• Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
• Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently within a supportive team structure. Competent user of Microsoft Office/365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).

Desirable

• Experience providing administrative support in a charity, education, or small-team environment.
• Familiarity with safeguarding, mandatory training requirements, or DBS/PVG processes. Experience supporting organisational processes or system implementation.

About the role  

The Programme Officer (PO) will support the delivery of the Society’s Researcher Development Programme, which is already an important feature of Wales’ research landscape.

The PO will report to the Programme Manager (PM), and will work with the rest of our friendly, committed staff team to help ensure the programme continues to benefit researchers at different career stages, inside academia and across different sectors.

The PO will deliver a variety of activities. Their primary responsibility will be running the Early Career Researchers (ECRs) Network. About the Role

The Engagement Officer is responsible for identifying and maintaining meaningful relationships with global stakeholders, including governmental, non-governmental and educational institutions. We are tackling the greatest threats working donkeys face locally and around the world, from the donkey skin trade to challenges working animals face in disasters. By coordinating engagement around sustainable development, wildlife crime, One Health and One Welfare agendas, the Engagement Officer will enable the cohesion within the member groups that the Sanctuary are currently part of and inspire new ways of working. Principles duties include:

The Stoll Foundation is the leading provider of housing and support services to vulnerable veterans. Founded in 1916 by theatre impresario Sir Oswald Stoll to house severely disabled WWI veterans, The Stoll Foundation has provided a sanctuary to help veterans rebuild their lives for over one hundred years.

As The Stoll Foundation enters a new chapter, an opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Heritage Project Officer to join our team and oversee the day-to-day delivery of a 2.5-year heritage project. Veterans’ Voices: 100 Years of Housing Heroes is made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Thanks to National Lottery players, we have been able to launch an ambitious project exploring the rich history of The Stoll Foundation while engaging our residents through workshops and events and building lasting ties with the local community.

Veterans’ Voices: 100 Years of Housing Heroes
The Heritage Project is a direct response to the sale of our main site, the historic Sir Oswald Stoll Mansions, which will be handed over to our neighbours Chelsea FC in 2027. While residents of the Mansions will move to nearby, higher-quality accommodation in the new build development of King’s Road Park, aspects of our heritage including the Mansions themselves, our on-site archives and the memories and stories of our residents are at risk.

From late 2025 until early 2028, the Heritage Project Officer will deliver a series of workshops, tours, activities, and lectures which celebrate, preserve, and share our rich heritage while engaging and integrating the local veteran and civilian communities in Fulham. Working with partners including the Fulham Society, Hammersmith & Fulham Archives and two volunteer committees, the Heritage Project Officer will also conduct extensive archival and online research to piece together the hidden history and forgotten stories of The Stoll Foundation and our early residents. Additionally, the Officer will lead on the production of key assets including a website section devoted to our heritage and a physical and digital book of the local community’s memories of Stoll Mansions. The project will culminate in a temporary exhibition which the Heritage Project Officer will design and deliver with the support of volunteers and professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Recruiting and managing two teams of volunteers: a Local Heritage Heroes committee of local community members and a Veteran Heritage Committee of The Stoll Foundation residents.
• Planning and delivering events and activities including workshops, open days, lecture series, committee meetings and field trips.
• Leading the planning and delivery of a temporary exhibition created in collaboration with project beneficiaries and volunteers.
• Tracking and reporting on a significant budget.
• Managing the creation of assets including a new Heritage section of The Stoll Foundation website and a physical and digital book compiling memories of Stoll Mansions from the local community.
