Do you have experience creating email campaigns and digital communications that bring customer journeys to life? Want to help shape the future of customer engagement at British Heart Foundation?
We're recruiting a Digital Journeys Senior Executives on 12-month fixed-term contracts to support one of our biggest digital transformation programmes.
About the role
British Heart Foundation is investing in Enterprise Foundations, an organisation-wide transformation programme designed to help us become a more customer-centric organisation through new technology, better use of data and more connected ways of working.
As a Digital Journeys Senior Executive, you'll help deliver one of the programme's most significant workstreams: migrating our marketing automation platform from Dotdigital to Adobe and redesigning hundreds of campaigns into customer-centred journeys.
You'll own assigned customer journeys from brief through to delivery, translating journey designs into live Adobe builds and configuring audience segmentation, workflow logic, personalisation and automation. Through rigorous testing and optimisation, you'll help ensure every communication delivers a relevant and connected customer experience.
Working through a series of transformation sprints, you'll contribute to rebuilding and improving existing campaigns while helping establish new standards, processes and ways of working across the organisation. You'll work closely with colleagues across Digital, Data, Retention and Customer Journeys, gaining valuable experience in marketing automation, customer journey orchestration and digital transformation delivery.
Your work will directly influence how we engage audiences and support more people to connect with BHF's mission.
About You
As our ideal candidate, you'll already have experience designing, building and delivering customer journeys, email campaigns or SMS communications within a marketing automation platform, alongside a strong understanding of audience segmentation, workflow logic and personalisation.
You'll bring strong knowledge of customer journey design, marketing automation and campaign delivery, together with experience using customer data to create relevant, targeted communications. Experience with Adobe Campaign or Adobe Journey Optimizer would be beneficial, but we're equally interested in candidates with experience using platforms such as Dotdigital, Salesforce or Braze who are excited to develop their Adobe expertise.
You'll be confident translating briefs and requirements into live journey builds, using performance insight to identify improvements and working collaboratively with stakeholders across digital, data, technology and marketing teams. Strong attention to detail, testing and quality assurance will be key to your success.
Most importantly, you'll be customer-focused, organised and naturally curious. You'll enjoy learning new technologies, solving problems and finding better ways to create journeys that deliver measurable results.
Working arrangements
These 12-month fixed-term roles provide additional capacity for the Digital Content & Journeys team during the Enterprise Foundations (EF) transformation programme.
These roles will specifically support the migration to Adobe and the building of hundreds of personalised customer journeys through sprint cycles until May 2027, followed by optimisation and hypercare. These roles provide the additional capacity needed to deliver the EF programme’s goals.
As this role is linked to a time-limited transformation programme, it is not intended to form part of BHF's ongoing permanent structure beyond completion of the project and associated optimisation activity. Following completion of the programme, responsibility for the ongoing management and optimisation of journeys will sit within the permanent Digital Content & Journeys team.
The contract is expected to end after 12 months when the additional funded programme activity and associated resourcing requirement are expected to conclude.
This is a hybrid role, where your work will be split between your home and at least one day per week in our London office. This may vary from time to time so you will need to work in a flexible way to unlock your best work for our cause.
Interview process
The interview process will consist of two stages. We plan for first stage interviews will be held over MS Teams on w/c 28 Sep 26 . For those successful, there will be second stage interviews in-person at our London Office (NW1 7AW) on 08 Oct 2026.
Our vision is a world free from the fear of heart and circulatory diseases.

Who We Are
Animal Equality is an international animal protection organisation working with society, governments and companies to end cruelty to farmed animals. Animal Equality has offices in the United Kingdom, United States, Germany, Italy, Spain, Mexico, Brazil and India.
Animal Equality releases investigative materials captured from inside factory farms and slaughterhouses, exposing the conditions that farmed animals face around the world. We publish our findings on television, in newspapers and online. We routinely secure mainstream media coverage, including on the BBC, ITV, Sky news, The Times, the Guardian, New York Times and many more.
Animal Equality also advocates for political change. Our current campaigns include a UK ban on foie gras imports, increased enforcement of existing animal protection laws, legal protections for farmed fish, and Government subsidies for transitioning towards a plant-based food system.
We focus on farmed animals because of the scale and severity of the issue. More than a billion animals are confined and killed for human consumption every year in the UK. Farmed animals also often suffer in some of the worst ways: pigs typically endure painful mutilations, many chickens die of heart attacks, fish are confined in underwater cages, and some farmed animals are victims of deliberate abuse and neglect. But the problem is solvable! By utilising effective campaigning strategies, Animal Equality is having an impact for animals around the world and building a future where all animals are respected and protected, and are no longer exploited for human consumption.
