Background Information and Purpose of Post
As part of our ambitious plans in the UK, we aim to achieve significant growth in private fundraising. This post is a pivotal role enabling HI UK to maximise our income from email marketing and other digital channels.
You will support the IGC Team Manager and Fundraising Manager to deliver HI UK’s individual giving strategy by developing and running our digital fundraising activities.
The purpose of the post is to:
· Focus on increasing overall digital fundraising income year on year.
· Lead the development of HI UK’s digital fundraising activities, focusing on email marketing and paid advertising while testing and developing new income streams.
· Maximise engagement, conversion, retention and giving levels of digital supporters.
· Produce engaging content for use across digital channels.
· Monitor, analyse and report on key performance indicators to evaluate digital marketing.
· Ensure that our donors and supporters are at the heart of everything we do and provide them with a first-class experience.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Email marketing
· Create high-quality, timely and inspiring emails for HI UK’s donors and supporters every week, to increase income and engagement.
· Develop and launch multichannel emergency fundraising appeals at short notice to maximise fundraising income and supporter awareness.
· Develop and maintain email marketing automation programmes to improve supporter experience.
Paid media
· Work with our digital agency to optimise the ROI of our Search Engine Advertising (SEA) on Google and Bing.
· Develop and test new Social Media Advertising campaigns to support fundraising objectives.
· Develop and test new paid media activities to enhance fundraising campaigns.
· Develop and implement multichannel digital fundraising campaigns, working with the Fundraising Manager.
Content creation and website
· Design and produce creative content including video and images for use across digital fundraising and supporter engagement activities.
· Increase the impact of our organic social media content, particularly on Instagram and TikTok.
· Improve the HI UK website as a tool for fundraising and supporter engagement, focusing on the creation and development of appeal landing pages, donation forms, and supporter actions.
· Increase volume and quality of organic traffic to HI UK’s website through Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO).
Cross cutting
· Maintain detailed reporting on key performance indicators for digital marketing, to evaluate performance, make improvements and identify tests.
· Test and improve key supporter journeys across HI UK’s digital channels to increase income, conversion rate and engagement.
· Increase the integration of HI UK’s existing digital tools and databases through automation.
· Work collaboratively with colleagues in the IGC team to improve digital activities in their areas of responsibility, including legacy fundraising, acquisition, loyalty, supporter care, and media outreach.
Other responsibilities
· Maintain a positive working relationship with the marketing teams in HI Federation and National Associations, participating in digital working groups and feeding into digital transformation projects as required.
· Ensure HI brand guidelines and organisational values are respected in all digital marketing activities.
· Manage relationships with relevant suppliers and consultants.
· Represent the organisation at relevant external events and meetings.
· Keep up to date and adhere with any changes in legislation, regulatory procedures, innovation, best practice and industry standards in relation to digital fundraising.

This is an exciting and pivotal leadership role at the heart of Kinship’s digital transformation. You’ll lead a talented and ambitious team to deliver and develop live digital services, accessible content and user-centred products that kinship carers rely on to access support.
This role does not own all services delivered through digital channels. It owns selected shared digital products while also enabling teams across Kinship to deliver their work effectively through digital platforms, content and journeys, while teams retain ownership of their services and outcomes. You’ll provide leadership on standards, user experience, accessibility and innovation.
Context:
Kinship is expanding its reach and digital capabilities, and our digital platforms are central to how we deliver services at scale. In 2024, we launched a new website bringing together all content and services under one home, and introduced Kinship Compass, a postcode search tool that helps kinship carers find relevant local and national support.
Alongside this, we have been developing a new AI-powered tool to help kinship carers access trusted information quickly and accurately, 24/7. You will lead the evolution of these digital services ensuring they are safe, ethical, resilient and data-informed, and that innovation is always grounded in reliability, safeguarding and user trust.
You’ll play a key role in the Department for Education funded national Training and Support Service, ensuring kinship carers can easily access and book high-quality training through our digital platforms.
You’ll oversee content design in collaboration with internal and external subject experts and kinship carers themselves and lead the digital and content streams for Kinship Minds, including the development and delivery of our e-learning platform and curriculum.
This role sits at the intersection of digital service delivery, product development and content design. At Kinship, content design is distinct from communications or marketing. It focuses on designing clear, accessible and trauma-informed information, learning content and user journeys that enable kinship carers to understand their options, make decisions and access support. Content is treated as part of the service itself and is central to the quality, safety and effectiveness of our digital platforms.
This is a role for a digital leader who is both strategic and operationally grounded. You’ll balance innovation with delivery, experimentation with governance, and ambition with accountability. You’ll champion inclusive, accessible and co-produced design, ensuring digital products support real-world service delivery and improve outcomes for kinship families.
You will work closely with colleagues in the Communications and Policy team (who sit in a separate department and lead external communications, campaigns and social media) and who own the external communications strategy. You will ensure clear alignment while retaining a distinct focus on digital service innovation, product development and content design.
What you'll be doing:
Digital leadership and strategy
- Lead the Digital and Content Design team, setting clear priorities and building a culture of high performance, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Own and deliver Kinship’s digital strategy and product roadmap, covering the website, Kinship Compass, Kinship Minds, the AI tool and other digital services, excluding marketing and social media.
- Provide digital leadership across Kinship, strengthening capability and effective cross-organisational working.
- Lead responsible digital innovation, ensuring AI and emerging technology are used where they clearly improve service delivery, accessibility and user experience.
- Take accountability for digital budgets, agency relationships and delivery against agreed outcomes, timescales and quality standards.
- Horizon scan and translate external digital developments into practical, service-led improvements for Kinship.
- Contribute to organisational planning, reporting and income generation linked to digital innovation.
Website, content and digital product development
- Lead the ongoing development and innovation of Kinship’s digital platforms to ensure they are user-centred, accessible and continuously improved.
- Oversee the content strategy and governance for Kinship’s website, Kinship Compass and new e-learning platform.
- Work with internal colleagues to improve our workshop booking system.
- Ensure a consistent content design approach across all digital platforms, grounded in user need, plain English, trauma-informed practice and continuous testing and improvement.
- Lead the content design team to develop content for strategic projects working collaboratively with subject experts and kinship carers.
- Work closely with Advice and Training teams to ensure digital platforms and content design support service delivery, quality standards and DfE contract requirements.
- Develop an excellent understanding of end-to-end audience experience and how the website, online content and digital products can drive effective online services and enhance the kinship ecosystem. Map the user journeys across our website and digital products leaving no dead ends.
- Ensure integration across all platforms (e.g. website, telephony, Salesforce, Kinship Minds) to create seamless user journeys for kinship carers and internal teams.
- Embed meaningful participation and co-production with kinship carers in digital service and content development.
- Drive accessibility and inclusion, ensuring our digital services reach and work for all kinship carers, including those with lower digital literacy.
- Ensure strong digital governance, accessibility, documentation and use of insight to continuously improve performance and impact.
- Oversee SEO, analytics and data-driven optimisation to improve engagement, performance and impact.

Key Responsibilities:
Requirements Elicitation and Scope Definition
· Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define, prioritise, and document functional and non-functional requirements for priority DDT projects and product enhancements (across web, email and other digital channels as required).
· Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and process mapping sessions to identify core business problems and opportunities for digital improvement.

Quality Assurance and UAT Management
· Play a key role in the design and co-ordination of comprehensive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans to validate that all digital solutions and features meet documented business requirements and satisfy user needs.
· Support the implementation phase of priority DDT activities such as our web development project, acting as a point of consultation to resolve issues and validate new solutions (e.g. changes in software or platform compatibility).
· Contribute to system maintenance planning by documenting defects and change requests post-launch.
Communication and Bridge Building
· Serve as the primary communication bridge between the DDT Programme Manager and Digital, internal and external stakeholders, managing expectations and ensuring project transparency.
· Facilitate project presentations and public introductions of new digital features to stakeholders and internal teams to secure project adoption and report on progress.
What we are looking for:
· Proven experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or equivalent role, specifically within a digital, marketing, or technology environment.

Planning & Reporting

The Executive Director of Fundraising & Digital is a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, responsible for ensuring the organisation's financial growth, supporter engagement, and digital transformation. This role provides strategic leadership across fundraising, digital platforms, brand, and supporter experience, ensuring these functions deliver ambitious income targets, expand public reach, and align with the organisation’s mission and values. The Executive Director builds and leads a high performing Fundraising and Digital directorate, fostering a culture of empowerment, innovation, equity, diversity, and inclusion.
The selected candidate will have extensive senior leadership experience in fundraising and income generation, with a proven track record of delivering significant income growth across multiple fundraising streams. You will also have significant experience of brand development and/or guardianship, ensuring consistency and impact across channels. The selected candidate will also need to demonstrate considerable evidence of driving innovation in fundraising and digital campaigns.

The Digital Hub is a critical new initiative to strengthen collaboration, knowledge-sharing and access to resources involving many organisations. It aims to be a thriving community of key actors in the child poverty space in London.
In its first launch phase at the start of 2026, the Hub will primarily target and engage London charities, including The Childhood Trust’s charity partner network.
This one-year role builds on the creation of the Digital Hub in 2025. This role is managing the implementation, testing and optimisation of the Hub in January and February 2026, before launching to an external test user group in March for a period of a month.
This role is critical to establishing the Hub’s purpose and value, and focusing on driving signs ups, engagement and re-engagement.
The role will be to oversee the resolution of any technical or user issues, especially in the first few months of the launch, supporting senior management in measuring and reporting the success of the Hub against set KPIs for the first year, ensuring content remains relevant to the needs of users, and beginning to embed the Hub as a core component of our wider Thrive Together programme of support, partnerships and collaboration.

The Head of Digital Transformation and IT is a pivotal new appointment to lead the delivery of our digital and IT strategies for the future and drive our transformation agenda: modernising our systems, enhancing digital engagement, identifying the potential benefits of AI and ensuring that our technology infrastructure supports our mission to drive nature’s recovery in Yorkshire.
The role will be instrumental in leading and project managing the migration to SharePoint across the Trust, as well as other strategically identified software and data management systems, to ensure cost-effective, efficient and scalable approaches to managing our digital output.
As a member of the Extended Leadership Team, you will work closely with our GIS and Environmental Data Team, Communications and Public Affairs, Supporter Services CRM and other team leaders across the Trust to assist in ensuring our spatial, species, customer, citizen science and key stakeholders are served with accurate data, metrics and reporting. You will also manage our hard-working IT team to support and enhance our existing IT infrastructure.
As well as bringing a wealth of technical and digital skills and experience of leading technological change to the Trust, you will be a natural communicator, a strategic thinker and have the ability to undertake stakeholder engagement and meet the needs of internal customers and system users.

Director of Transformation (DDaT)
A leading national charity is seeking an Interim Director of Transformation (DDaT) to guide the organisation through a crucial 18 month period of modernisation. This is a senior mandate suited to someone with broad technology leadership experience in fundraising charities of around 100–250 employees, and the capability to drive major transformation programmes to completion, including a significant CRM migration and the development of a modern data platform.
In this role, you’ll take responsibility for ensuring the charity’s technology architecture is coherent, scalable and secure, overseeing key platforms such as Salesforce, Microsoft 365/Azure, and the charity’s evolving data lakehouse. I’m delighted to be supporting a leading UK cultural arts charity to recruit a Youth Marketing Lead, for 12 a month contract. This is an exciting opportunity to lead meaningful work that connects the next generation with culture.
This role will provide leadership and continuity for the organisation’s youth-focused marketing activity, while also adding capacity during the development and implementation of a new CRM.
