Job description

A great opportunity to join a world-leading Health Charity based in Central London offering flexible working options (4 days a week would be considered).

As an experienced Marketing Manager you will be joining the Legacy team as they enter year 3 of their 5 year strategy having enjoyed huge success since their conception, winning awards from the IOF and recently launching a leading Free Will programme. Legacy experience is helpful but far from essential to be successful in this role, an understanding of an over-50’s audience would be very beneficial. This organisation is pushing boundaries, but Direct Mail is of course still an absolute must in Fundraising – experience conceiving, implementing and managing DM campaigns is essential.

Working very closely with the Head of Legacy, you will be confident deputising and making decisions in their absence, as well as managing the personal development of a very competent Legacy Officer. You will work in partnership with the Database support team, developing a supporter journey that optimises engagement and income.

Some key areas of responsibility include:

  • Supporting Head-Of to map out key activities, identify objectives, KPIs, milestones & budget requirements, and developing annual Business Plans.
  • Lead on the development of strategies and marketing plans for all legacy campaign activity.
  • Work collaboratively with multiple teams, developing a combined approach, to ensure campaigns and activities are delivered on budget, to track outcomes and make recommendations to the Head-Of and MD. Ensuring key messages are consistent and all marketing channels are optimised.
  • Converting supporter journeys for all legacy supporters into detailed activity plans and managing effective thanking and stewarding of supporters, ensuring the highest standards and best practice.
  • Forecast and manage budget for all areas of responsibility.
  • Ensuring high standards of data management, governance and compliance alongside the Database team.
