Senior Fundraising Insights and Research Manager (Interim)

We’re now seeking an experienced and visionary Interim Senior Fundraising Insights and Research Manager to cover the postholder’s maternity leave. This is a strategic, high-impact role for a data-driven leader who can unlock insight to maximise supporter engagement and drive income growth. You’ll shape and lead the research and insight function, transforming data into clear strategies that sharpen targeting, deepen donor relationships, and enhance campaign performance.

You’ll also lead the development of new supporter segmentation strategies, harness technology to improve CRM systems, and play a key role in World Vision’s ambitious plans to scale Child Sponsorship. From AI-driven analytics to performance dashboards and predictive modelling – this is a hands-on role where your insights will directly fuel mission impact.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:

• Significant leadership experience in research, data analysis, or fundraising insight, ideally within the non-profit or digital fundraising space.

• Expertise in donor segmentation, data-driven decision-making, and fundraising analytics.

Animal Equality releases investigative materials captured from inside factory farms and slaughterhouses, exposing the conditions that farmed animals face around the world. We publish our findings on television, in newspapers and online. We focus on farmed animals because of the scale and severity of the issue. More than a billion animals are confined and killed for human consumption every year in the UK. Farmed animals also often suffer in some of the worst ways: pigs typically endure painful mutilations, many chickens die of heart attacks, fish are confined in underwater cages, and some farmed animals are victims of deliberate abuse and neglect. But the problem is solvable! By utilising effective campaigning strategies, Animal Equality is having an impact for animals around the world and building a future where all animals are respected and protected, and are no longer exploited for human consumption.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a talented storyteller and strategic communicator to join our busy, dynamic, and focused team of professional activists as a Copywriting Coordinator. With a natural flair for persuasive writing and a background in direct response marketing, you will craft powerful narratives that expose the reality of animal farming, inspire action, and mobilise financial support for our life-saving mission.

You will be responsible for creating compelling content across print and digital platforms – from fundraising appeals and newsletters to blogs, campaign pages, and supporter journeys. Combining creativity with analytical rigour, you will ensure every piece of copy both engages hearts and delivers measurable results. You will proudly champion Animal Equality’s tone of voice, supporting fellow team members to apply our messaging to their copy.

This is a pivotal role in growing Animal Equality UK’s reach, deepening supporter relationships, and driving the income we need to achieve lasting change for farmed animals.

The Copywriting Coordinator will report to the Executive Director and work closely with team members across our UK and international teams.

In addition to monthly meet-ups, some travel within the UK may be required for demonstrations, meetings, and events. While not common, occasional evening or weekend work may be necessary to support campaigning activities. Any additional hours worked and agreed with your Manager can be reclaimed as TOIL.

ABOUT YOU

You are a forward-thinking communicator with exceptional writing skills and a passion for advocating for animals with impact. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing resilience and creativity with strategic and data-led decision-making. You are self-motivated, organised, and able to multi-task, working on several briefs simultaneously.

You must have a minimum of three years’ experience in copywriting or a directly related field, with a proven ability to design and deliver content for successful fundraising. Experience of Pardot, Grav and/or WordPress is a plus.

Core Purpose
The Communications Lead plays a pivotal role in delivering Make-A-Wish UK’s mission by leading the planning, coordination and execution of impactful communications across internal and external channels.

Acting as the communications lead across every day operations, this role ensures alignment, clarity, and consistency across the organisation’s communications outputs, storytelling and messaging. It provides strategic and operational leadership to specialist communications managers and supports the delivery of high-quality campaigns, partnership communications, and internal engagement activity.

About the project  

The Housing Advice Practitioner will by providing tailored advice and guidance through mainly remote online or phone support, as well as in person housing advice at a weekly housing advice surgery in the community. The role will include advocacy, coordination with legal services, workshops, and ensuring sustained support for families. 

This new Information and Advice Support Service is established to a) provide a light touch swift response service for less complex housing issues; and b) develop mechanisms for the early identification of emerging housing problems.

This role involves responding to enquiries, conducting housing surgeries, and running workshops to empower clients with the knowledge and skills to address their housing-related issues. The successful candidate will work with clients to identify their needs and offer tailored solutions to help them achieve sustainable housing outcomes. In this role, you will be working in partnership with community organisations and the council to coordinate tailored support for each client to address their housing issues. The objective of the programme is to provide advice and support to clients who have problems related to their housing and to improve wellbeing and awareness of tenancy rights and housing polices.
