We are looking for an ambitious and driven sales and marketing leader to play a central role in the next stage of Challenge Partners’ development and growth.
Established by headteachers in 2011, Challenge Partners is an education charity with a mission to reduce educational inequality and improve the life chances of all children. We do this by accelerating school improvement, leadership development, and pupil progress across the 575 schools in our partnership. We share excellent practice between schools and trusts through rigorous peer reviews, tailored school improvement programmes, and national and local collaboration.
By driving our sales and marketing activity, you will deliver a crucial strand of our ambitious strategy to enhance and extend Challenge Partners to benefit 500,000 pupils each year by 2027. Reporting to the Chief Executive, your main objective will be to inspire schools and trusts to join Challenge Partners. You will do this by leading a small sales and marketing team, and personally securing sales. You will also be responsible for enhancing our brand, PR and communications, and will support our fundraising efforts.
You will be the sales and marketing expert in the organisation, with good commercial sense and sensitivity to the sector. You will be able to design, execute and monitor impactful campaigns to help us reach new schools and trusts. You will have the personal credibility to win the confidence of school and trust leaders and the tenacity to convert interest into sales.
You will be a strong and highly skilled communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop and strengthen new and existing relationships. As a confident public speaker, you will engage and inspire audiences of school and trust leaders. As a senior leader you will have a track record of building, managing and developing high-performing teams and play an important role on our Leadership Team in steering the organisation and upholding our culture.

Encompass is a local charity based in and covering North Northamptonshire. The charity supports those facing poverty, homelessness and addiction, through the delivery of multiple services including two homeless accommodations, a rehab and aftercare, multiple foodbanks and a soon to be opened day centre.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Management
- Provide decisive and ambitious leadership for the team and the organisation in line with its vision, mission, and values.

Strategy and Business Planning
- Ensure effective development and implementation of the strategic business plan and future plans.

- Ensure the client is at the forefront of all decisions made by Encompass, that services are developed in line with need, with an attitude for constant constructive improvement.

Finance and Monitoring
- Work with the Finance Manager to plan, monitor and deliver annual budgets, reforecasts and other financial reporting such as reports to funders, project budgets and Trustee reports.
- Regularly review Housing Benefit claims to ensure projects receive appropriate income.
- Work with Trustees to review and set financial policies and practices, such as annual salary reviews, and adequate reporting to the Board.
- Oversee the fundraising of the charity, deliver primarily applications to Trusts and Foundations and the support of local individuals through donations.
- Work to deliver budgeted fundraising income.
Compliance and Governance
- Ensure all legal and regulatory requirements are in place, reviewed and monitored.
- Take responsibility for all health and safety across all properties, ranging from high need accommodation to storage facilities.
- To maintain and develop effective human resource systems for the recruitment, management, support, training, appraisal and development of staff and volunteers.
- Manage the organisation with due regard to equal opportunities, safeguarding, the General Data Protection Regulations UK (GDPR), and the Data Protection Act
- Take overall responsibility for Safeguarding and associated monitoring and reporting.
- Regularly review and update policies and procedures with approval from Board
- Ensure appropriate standards, controls, systems and procedures are in place and updated accordingly.
- Ensure the organisation has the appropriate resources to operate as effectively as possible with high impact to clients.
- Play an active role in the recruitment and selection of managers across the organisation along with your line managers.
- Play an active role in the recruitment and selection of new Trustees.
- Fulfil reporting requirements to the Board of Trustees, including attendance at 9 Trustee meetings per annum plus exceptional meetings, providing comprehensive reports on activity of the organisation and performance.
- Assess and manage, with Trustees, the principal risks of the organisation.
- Ensure that Encompass maintains high standards of wellbeing, personal development and engagement.

Our client Spitalfields Crypt Trust (SCT) is an East London charity embedded in the local community, providing practical help, support and training to people affected by homelessness or suffering from addiction. As SCT’s HR and Quality Manager you will report to the CEO and work closely with the SMT and wider management team, including SCT’s Co-Production worker and external HR Consultancy. You will be responsible for leading, directing and delivering a comprehensive generalist HR service across the whole of SCT and providing the organisational lead on health, safety and wellbeing, data protection and quality improvement systems; developing and promoting best practice and taking a hands-on role as and when necessary and according to SCT’s inclusive, integrated, innovative and participatory culture. About the Role
Reporting to our Finance and Commercial Director, you will be working to build revenue from the venue hire operation for the Craft Council's Gallery, situated in Islington.
With your great client relationship building skills, you will be responsible for maximising the commercial use of the venue, dealing with all event enquiries, and giving excellent client guidance. You will be dealing with all external clients, existing and new, which will include agencies, corporate partners, charities and other organisations.
All the events will be of the highest quality, with the beautiful space within this historic building being offered with the commitment to realise its full potential. By overseeing all sales, co-ordinating the diary, optimising income received and building relationships, you will ensure the venue becomes a key and competitive player within the exclusive venues of London.

About the role:
As the Director of Services, you will provide senior strategic leadership for all Advance services across London, East and South England, including our Domestic abuse services, Criminal Justice services and Women’s Centres, Diversion services, Young Women’s services and other work which compliments the mission and values of Advance.
The Director of Services will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships and engagement with voluntary and statutory partners, funders and commissioners. Working alongside the CEO, Directors and Trustees, the post holder will be responsible for developing and delivering high quality services aligned with Advance’s strategic aims. Representing the organisation externally on services’ groups, events and conferences, the post holder will support the development of the organisation’s strategic plans to ensure the sustainability, development, and excellence in the delivery of the services to the communities we serve.
The post holder will work to adhere to and develop quality systems, lead, motivate and inspire passionate and dedicated teams of staff and volunteers and develop policies as part of the senior leadership team to ensure strong systems and working practices across Advance. They will also work closely with the Advance board, reporting to and participating in relevant sub-committees, to ensure effective governance.
To be successful as the Director of Services you’ll need the below experience and skills:
· A proven track record of senior leadership in providing services to women experiencing violence and abuse, women in contact with the criminal justice system or similar social care or social justice services
· Exemplary relationship and networking skills, experience of developing and maintaining strong partnerships and stakeholder relationships.
· Thorough knowledge of safeguarding adults and child protection issues
· An excellent understanding of management and quality assurance processes and systems such as Women’s Aid accreditation framework.
· Experience of managing and working within budgets and of tendering/fundraising processes.
· Ability to lead by example, inspire and motivate teams and manage a complex workload.

Senior Registered Nurse Development role – Community and In-Patient Unit rotation
20 Month Fixed Term Contract
37.5 hours per week (shift pattern over 7 days including night shifts on the IPU and weekends on an internal rotation basis)

Phyllis Tuckwell is looking to appoint a Registered Nurse with experience in palliative and end of life care who wishes to further develop these skills. The role is an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to be supported by the skilled and expert nursing and clinical teams within Phyllis Tuckwell. This fixed term post will consist of an initial 1-month induction on the IPU, followed by a further 2 placements of 9 months each on our In-Patient Unit and with our Hospice Care at Home team. The final month will be an opportunity to consolidate your learning.
The role involves holistic assessment and identification of patient needs, decision making and care planning alongside other MDT colleagues and community partners. It involves strong assessment skills, implementation of a management plan and evaluation to ensure that responsive high-quality, nursing care and support is available for patients, their families, and carers.
The role requires a range of skills and knowledge in palliative care nursing including symptom management, psychological skills, medication administration and management, organisational, leadership and people management skills. Patient, family and carer education, including for patients and professionals within care homes, is also an element of the role.
The successful candidate will have, or be willing to work towards, a qualification in palliative care, will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Their role will have clinical leadership and practice development responsibilities, and the successful applicant will work towards taking an active role in workload management and high-quality care, including patient safety and service improvement.
