About Victory Afghanistan
Victory Afghanistan is a Chicago-registered nonprofit dedicated to providing education and mentorship to Afghan girls and young women who have been banned from attending school. We currently support over 800 students through six levels of English instruction and three mentoring pathways:

About the Role
We are now recruiting a Volunteer Higher Education Pathway Manager to lead and expand our Online Higher Education stream. This is a volunteer leadership position that requires drive, moxie, ambition, and daring, a chance to test your skills and your character while doing something that truly matters.
You’ll step into an existing structure with full guidance from the previous manager, so you won’t be starting from zero. Your goal will be to identify and secure online higher education opportunities for Afghan women who cannot leave the country, whether through university partnerships, scholarships, sponsorships, or donated course placements.
You’ll also guide 3 Project Coordinators (who are students in our academy) and work closely with the Operations Manager to help deliver tangible outcomes.
This is a role for someone who gets things done. It’s fine if you make mistakes, what matters is consistency, initiative, and a willingness to keep pushing forward. We’re looking for someone who thrives under responsibility and believes in turning ideas into action.
Key Responsibilities

This is not a traditional mentorship programme — it is a structured pathway designed to help young Afghan women develop the academic and professional skills needed to move forward despite the severe restrictions placed on them inside Afghanistan.
Applicants should hold either a master’s degree or a bachelor’s degree with at least 10 years of professional experience. They should demonstrate emotional intelligence, clarity in communication, and the ability to guide, inspire, and challenge thoughtfully. A reliable internet connection is also essential.
Our students have completed six levels of English and are now enrolled in one of four mentorship semesters. Each mentee follows her own unique path, whether:

You will be working with highly motivated young women whose English is already excellent, most have Duolingo scores around 110, and our goal is to help them reach 125+ in preparation for university applications and scholarships abroad.

Shannon Trust fulfils an unmet need around adult learning, supporting people who’ve fallen through the cracks in formal education.
We know a lot of people have had negative learning experiences in the past, so our programme is designed to be different, with no exams and no classrooms. Our unique, evidence-based Turning Pages reading manuals are used by thousands of learners in prisons and the community to improve reading skills.
Area coordinators support and coordinate a team of prison volunteers. They help recruit and induct new volunteers and are the first point of contact for advice and support. Area coordinators lead and inspire the team via quarterly 1 to 1s and area meetings. They also help oversee the progress of Shannon Trust in prisons in their area and provide cover and support where needed.

One Tenth Human is an award-winning theatre company based in Lancaster, led by Artistic Director Sarah Punshon. We explode myths and expectations when it comes to science, technology, engineering, arts, and maths (“STEAM”) because too many children reach adulthood believing these subjects are not for “people like me”. We create and tour interactive theatrical adventures nationally to arts venues, libraries, schools, and village halls. Since our formation in 2016, we have been commissioned and co-produced by Shoreditch Town Hall, Z-arts, China Plate, Polka Theatre, Tutti Frutti, Big Imaginations, ARC Stockton, The Dukes Lancaster, and Lancaster Arts. InStudents is building a global, student-led movement to close the education and employability gap for young people in underserved regions. Traditional, top-down aid models frequently fail because they overlook local context and community ownership. InStudents flips this model by empowering local student leaders to design and deliver free, career-focused education that meets the specific needs of their peers.
Through its Equal Opportunities Project (EQOP), students in underserved regions access co-created courses via accessible platforms like WhatsApp, designed in partnership with UK universities and global companies. Meanwhile, the Impact Champions Project builds a global network of student societies tackling local education challenges, creating a model that is both locally led and globally connected. Delivery Coach (AI for Educators Initiative)
A great mission needs a high-performing, collaborative team. We are looking for a facilitative leader to be the Delivery Coach for our 'AI for Educators' initiative. As the volunteer Delivery Coach, you will act as the servant-leader for the project team. You will be responsible for the "how" (fostering collaboration, removing impediments, and guiding the team towards high performance and continuous improvement). You will work in close partnership with the Service Lead and will have the constant support of our founder and senior leadership.
Accountabilities
- Facilitate team events (e.g., planning sessions, check-ins, retrospectives) to oversee the delivery of work.
 - Coach and support the delivery team, encouraging a culture of collaboration, self-organisation, and accountability.
 - Proactively identify and remove impediments or blockers that hinder the team's progress.
 - Protect the team from external disruptions, allowing them to focus on their work.
 - Support the Service Lead in maintaining a clear and prioritised backlog.
 - Track and communicate team performance to promote transparency and identify areas for improvement.

Victory Afghanistan is a volunteer -led nonprofit providing free online English lessons and mentoring for Afghan girls and women who are currently barred from formal education. Our mission is to equip them with the skills and confidence to apply for scholarships and university placements abroad.
We are looking for a number of volunteer IELTS Tutors to support our mentorship-level students from January to May 2026. These students already have an IELTS level of around 6.0 and now need focused preparation to achieve higher scores required for university entry.
You will be teaching bright, ambitious young women who are eager to perfect their academic English, improve their fluency, and succeed in international admissions. Lessons are held online once or twice a week, and materials can be adapted to suit your teaching style.
Commitment: 1–2 hours per week (online) depending on your availability.
Programme duration: 16 weeks

End date: Third week of May 2026
