About Us:
The Orpheus Centre is a specialist further education college and charity working to support young disabled adults, who are passionate about the arts, to achieve their potential and lead independent lives.
Set up by musician and songwriter Sir Richard Stilgoe, Orpheus offers learning, supported housing and personal care on the same site in Godstone, Surrey.
Volunteer Role:
As an Action Team Volunteer, you will play a vital role in assisting with our fundraising activities throughout the year, from fun runs, festivals and supermarket collections to special events. By sharing your skills and time, you’ll meet new people as part of a friendly team that makes a difference in the community and have a rewarding experience helping spread awareness of Orpheus and the importance of the funds our supporters raise.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for volunteers who are friendly, have buckets of enthusiasm, have good communications skills and able to work as part of a team. If you are reliable and flexible, then we would love to hear from you. If you would like to get involved with the work we do at Orpheus but want to volunteer in a flexible way, then this is the role for you.
What will you be doing?
· Cheering, marshalling, collecting money or providing practical support in other ways at our events, such as setting up stalls, selling merchandise and raffle tickets to car park attendants
· Other ad hoc activities that arise on the day

Role relevant training, including Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and Safeguarding will be given prior to start date. There is also the opportunity to attend our Learning Support training.
On-going support will be available throughout your time at Orpheus.

Richmond Carers Centre, a network partner of Carers Trust, is a registered charity providing information, support, advice and a voice for carers living and caring in London Borough of Richmond upon Thames.
Helping Carers to Live Well is our organisational aim. We are looking for someone with the skills and ability to offer a coordinated approach in supporting unpaid and family adult carers in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. Carers provide vital support and can come from all walks of life and be of any age.
As a Volunteer Counsellor, you will be part of a small dedicated team and directly deliver our counselling service to adult carers. You will provide regular counselling sessions for carers each week. These will either be face-to-face at our centre or can be via a remote offer using either a video platform such as MS Teams or by telephone. The counselling service is part of a range of services offered to support carers with their emotional wellbeing. This work helps to enhance carers’ health and wellbeing. It also provides carers with a much needed break from their caring responsibilities, in a safe environment where they can focus on their wellbeing.
With your proven experience of working with carers or other vulnerable groups on an individual and/or group basis, you’ll recognise the importance of being client focused and have a commitment to enhance the lives of carers. You will be able to demonstrate a broad knowledge of carer’s needs and a wide range of skills in relation to working with individuals and groups.
You will be self-motivated and positive in your approach to working with both carers and staff and have a willingness to embrace our organisational values. Strong administrative, time management, IT and organisational skills are essential.

Volunteer Mentor GM
One Million Mentors is a community based mentoring program that empowers young people to become the best version of themselves: building relationships - free of assumption and judgement - where they benefit from another’s experience and perspective and can think bigger, find their own answers and take the next meaningful step into their future. Our aim is to strengthen communities and level the playing field.
This 2025, we are in need of volunteers to help our young people in Greater Manchester. We equip and train professionals to mentor young people aged 14-25, largely through mentoring programmes in schools, colleges, alternative education programmes and youth organisations. Our mentoring is one to one, for an hour a month, for up to a year.
Between October 2025 and June 2026 we will be launching almost 20 timetabled mentoring programmes with our youth partners and are looking to match up to 400 mentees with mentors. Could you be one of them? Here’s some of our upcoming programmes:

Who They Are
The Society of the Sacred Heart is an international order of women religious within the Catholic Church. The Role
The Society is seeking experienced Board or Committee members with senior-level expertise in finance, property, risk, or audit.
As members of the Finance Committee, appointees will contribute to ensuring that effective financial governance arrangements are in place and will assist in monitoring the Society’s financial performance. They will be expected to provide rigorous scrutiny, constructive challenge, and sound financial advice to the trustees and leadership team.

Commitment
Following an induction day, the Finance Committee is expected to meet three times a year for two-hour sessions. Meetings will be held both online and in person at the Society’s offices in Hammersmith, London.

Term Length
An initial commitment of three years is sought.
Skills and Expertise

At Her Centre, we believe in empowering women to have a voice. We also believe that education and awareness are the first steps to systematic change.
We are looking for a volunteer to help us raise our online presence. Our goal is to be a household name in Greenwich, so that as soon as any woman needs us, she already knows who we are and how to reach us.

We currently have an Instagram and a Facebook account but neither are being used to their best ability. We are looking for someone who wants to take on this project as their own, flood our pages with great content and maybe introduce us to some other platforms. You will be supported by a great team here, but you will be the expert!
Recording Stories
People's experiences matter. They help us show the world how incredible the women we support are, and they help us teach people about the reality of abuse. However, it can be very difficult to open up and have your story told, so we are looking for someone who has the patience and understanding to speak with women in a safe and supportive manner. In many cases, we must maintain absolute anonymity to ensure the woman's safety so you will also help us find ways to share their perspective without fear.
We are looking for excited, creative people with big ideas who can support us to be seen by those who needs us. We are open to all projects and proposal that will help us reach our goal, so if you don't see a volunteer vacancy that matches your expertise, please reach out and let us know what else you might be interested in doing!

How does it work?
In 2025 we launched our arm chair volunteering initiative to help us spread the word about our service and to give people the opportunity to take part in surveys and projects to help us deliver the best mental health support to the UK public.
We'd like to embrace what you love doing, whether that be sharing on socials, proof reading, surveys, sharing experiences or getting involved in our fabulous projects.
Important information:
In order to volunteer for knus as an ambassador, you will need to complete a brief application form and a ID check. A DBS is not required for this role, however, if you wish to progress to another role you may need a disclosure. We do this to ensure of service remains a safe place to volunteer for all. Please do not worry about this, we will help you as much as we can.
Training is provided by us and our training partners. You will be required to attend this training using online conferencing software such as zoom or teams.

Role Summary
We are seeking a proactive and organised Volunteer HR Assistant to support our small but dynamic HR function. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in Human Resources within the charity or community sector. You will assist with a range of HR administrative tasks and contribute to creating a positive and supportive environment for our staff and volunteers.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist in maintaining and updating employee and volunteer records
· Support with recruitment admin (e.g. posting roles, shortlisting applications)
· Help prepare onboarding materials and assist with volunteer inductions
· Support internal communication and staff/volunteer engagement initiatives
· Maintain digital filing systems and HR spreadsheets
· Take notes during HR team meetings when required
· Assist in creating or updating HR policy documents or handbooks
· Ensure confidentiality and compliance with GDPR in all administrative work
· Carry out general admin duties as needed and support ad-hoc HR projects
Essential:
· Aged 18 or over with the right to volunteer in the UK
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Able to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion
· Good organisational skills and attention to detail
· Ability to manage sensitive information confidentially
· Comfortable using Microsoft Office and Teams
· Willingness to learn and take initiative
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Respectful of safeguarding, GDPR, and equality & diversity policies
Requirement
· Studying or recently completed a qualification in:
o Human Resources
o Business Administration
o Psychology or a related field
· Have Previously worked as a HR Assistant or Administrative Assistant in experience (voluntary or paid)
· Familiarity with HR systems
