Role Overview
Mothers’ Union is seeking a talented and organised Communications & Publications Coordinator to support the delivery of high-quality written communications across the charity. This role will play a key part in shaping and sharing our voice through articles, press releases, media engagement, and the management of our two publications.
Working closely with the Acting Director of Communications & Marketing, the postholder will help ensure that Mothers’ Union’s mission, faith, impact, and advocacy work are clearly, professionally, and consistently communicated to members, supporters, clergy, partners, and the wider public.

Key Responsibilities
Writing & Editorial
·Researching, writing, and editing articles, features, and news stories for internal and external publications.

Work Location/Hybrid Working Pattern
This role will be based at our Head Office in central London. Mothers’ Union operates a hybrid working model. Staff are required to work an aggregate minimum of 90 days per calendar year (pro rata for part timers) at our Head Office, Mary Sumner House in central London. Tuesdays are our anchor days where every staff member is expected to be at the office. The 90 days includes anchor Tuesdays. In addition, Thursday is a core working day where part time staff are expected to work, either at home or from the office as needed.

Job Description
This role reports directly to the Education Programmes and Impact Manager.
Programme delivery
● Support the Programmes Team to deliver our programmes
● Good regular communication and reporting to the Education Programmes and Impact Manager

Job Title: Head of CRM

CONTEXT & PURPOSE OF ROLE
SportsAid is currently implementing Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud as our new organisation-wide CRM platform to strengthen engagement with athletes and their parents/care-givers, supporters and funders, partners, alumni, volunteers and other key stakeholders. The Head of CRM will provide strategic and operational leadership for the charity’s CRM function.
Initially the focus of the role will be to realise the value of the implementation, including adoption, embedding ways of working and processes across teams, improving data quality, refining reporting, ensuring good system governance and optimising organisation-wide usage.
Longer term, the role will develop and lead a CRM roadmap, identifying priorities and enhancements for future development and planning the strategic evolution of our new CRM ecosystem and long-term sustainability of our Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud platform.

Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. In 2024 we embarked on our new 10-year strategy for ending homelessness. We know it is not inevitable. We know together we can end it.

About the role
We are recruiting for an Assistant Shop Manager to join a busy and creative team in Elephant and Castle. You will join an exciting team and collaborate to build a group of volunteers from all walks of life, raising money to fund Crisis’ work ending homelessness. We are bold with a culture of continuous review and improvement, where we try new things, take risks, and sometimes fail. There will be numerous opportunities to improve our team’s effectiveness. We also work closely with local artists and universities. We’d love you to bring your own ideas, along with your experience of fashion, retail and current trends, to this role. As Lottery Fundraiser, you’ll play a key role in a busy, ambitious and supportive team contributing to a vital income stream and community connection through our weekly lottery and seasonal raffles, with a focus on growing player participation, retention and engagement to maximise net contribution.
With your strategic thinking and proactive approach, you will lead the development, coordination and delivery of campaigns to increase lottery and raffle participation, while identifying new opportunities to promote the sales of our celebration and wedding favours.
You’ll also have a good understanding of relevant regulation policies and codes of conduct, be comfortable in data management, and be able to work in accordance with the Gambling Act 2005.
Just like our care, our relationships with supporters are individual and with your great interpersonal skills and empathetic manner you will build relationships and strengthen our network of supporters through a variety of communications, including dealing directly with players on the phone.

About you
We are looking for a passionate fundraiser with keen interest in the charity sector, particularly in humanitarian work. The ideal candidate will have a range of cross-channel experience, ideally in the charity sector and in an Individual Giving team, with a particular focus on retention and engagement activity. We are looking for someone with the passion to drive and improve our retention and engagement campaigns, to critically review campaigns and implement improvements, and to put their own stamp on the role.
About the role
The Senior Individual Giving Executive will play a key part in the delivery of the Individual Giving programme, producing sector-leading comms and campaigns to recruit and retain supporters. You will work closely with the rest of the IG team and the Fundraising and Communications Department to deliver high-quality, data-led campaigns across a range of marketing channels. The role will include campaign delivery, budgeting, strategy and planning, managing relationships with key suppliers and driving continuous campaign improvement.
This role will focus predominantly on retention and engagement activity, with a particular focus on mailings, emails and telemarketing, amongst other channels, though there is flexibility for this to change in the future.

The role
As a Senior Researcher, you will take a leading role in our research programmes with parliamentarians and journalists, while also contributing to our work with the general public and bespoke client projects. You will act as a trusted partner to clients and a point of guidance for junior colleagues.
You will lead on our nfpPolitics programmes – quarterly surveys of 100 MPs and an annual survey of 100 members of the House of Lords, plus annual surveys of MSPs in Scotland, MSs in Wales and MLAs in Northern Ireland. These programmes give charity clients clear, evidence-based insight into how they are seen at Westminster and in the devolved parliaments: tracking awareness of organisations and their campaigns, the actions parliamentarians have taken in response, and how effective they consider those organisations to be. Subscribers also receive unfiltered open comments from parliamentarians and access to broader political intelligence data – covering what MPs see as the biggest challenges facing the sector, the factors that influence whether they will support a campaign, and which organisations have impressed them in Parliament.
You will also oversee nfpPress, our annual survey of 150 UK journalists across print, digital and broadcast media. This gives charity communications teams systematic insight into how the media perceives them and their work – not just whether journalists know who they are, but whether they want to work with them, and what would make them more likely to.
Alongside this tracking work, you will contribute to a varied portfolio of bespoke projects for individual charity clients – from applicant perception research for funders, to supporter benchmarking and message testing. In practice, this means working across a wide range of topics and methodologies, helping charities make better strategic decisions.
Description of responsibilities and opportunities:
· Leading our nfpPolitics Westminster programme: quarterly surveys of 100 MPs and an annual survey of 100 members of the House of Lords, including questionnaire design, fieldwork management, analysis and client debriefs
· Leading our nfpPolitics Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland programmes: annual surveys of MSPs, Members of the Senedd and MLAs

· Managing a portfolio of client accounts across the Professional Audiences monitors – advising clients on their results, responding to requests for analysis, and supporting retention

· Writing and presenting client reports and debrief presentations, with clear conclusions and actionable recommendations

Who we are looking for:
This post would be ideally suited to a researcher with at least three years’ experience in a market research or social research role, with a strong interest in the non-profit sector and the professional audiences it works with – whether parliamentarians, journalists, funders or specialist communities.
Essential:
· Minimum three years’ previous professional research experience, ideally in market research, social research or a consultancy setting
· Experience of managing research projects or programmes with a high degree of independence
· Experience of managing clients or other external relationships
· Experience of presenting in a professional context
· Strong quantitative research skills, including excellent data literacy, survey design and data visualisation
· Analytical skills and ability to interpret research, and explain what it means for a range of different audiences – both verbally and in writing
· A strong interest in politics, media or public affairs, and an understanding of how non-profits engage with these arenas
· A strong interest in, and preferably experience of, charities and not-for-profits
Desirable:
· Experience of research with specialist or professional audiences (such as parliamentarians, journalists, healthcare professionals or funders)
· Experience of conducting qualitative research (interviews, focus groups or similar)
· Keen interest or experience of the not-for-profit sector in one of our international markets (Ireland, Canada or the US)
