Fight for Peace is looking for an exceptional Facilities Manager to take full ownership of our Academy in Royal Docks, East London — a vibrant, purpose-built space where young people aged 7–25 come to box, train, learn, and grow.

This isn't a role for someone who wants to sit behind a desk raising purchase orders. As our Facilities Manager, you'll be the person who makes the Academy hum, from keeping us legally compliant and structurally sound to leading capital projects, managing a network of contractors, and making sure every corner of the building reflects the ambition and energy of the community it serves.

You'll have real ownership. You'll have a say in the facilities budget, shape the annual maintenance plan, and play an active role in our team. When something needs doing, you'll have the authority and the trust to get it done.

What you'll be leading:

The Academy is a busy, multi-use space — and no two days are the same. You'll oversee everything from day-to-day maintenance and statutory compliance to major refurbishment projects (including an ongoing changing rooms development). You'll manage our cleaning team, oversee IT infrastructure, run our room hire offer, and work with the income generation team to grow commercial use of the space. Health and safety sits at the heart of this role — you'll be our lead on fire safety, EICR, legionella, asbestos, and everything in between, maintaining a compliance register that is always audit-ready.

Safeguarding is central to how we operate. You'll ensure the physical environment supports a safe and welcoming space for young people, and that every contractor who steps through our doors is properly vetted.

What we're looking for:

You'll bring solid, hands-on experience in facilities, estates, or building management — ideally in a community, education, or sports setting. You'll know your way around a PPM schedule, a compliance register, and a contractor negotiation. You'll be organised, dependable, and the kind of person who spots a problem before it becomes one.

• Salary: £37,000 – £40,000
• Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Saturday

A NEBOSH or IOSH qualification is desirable but not essential, we're more interested in what you've done than what's on paper. An enhanced DBS check will be required prior to appointment.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and caring Children and Familes Worker to support and develop our work with local children and families within our Methodist church community.We see families and children's ministry as a key area of church growth and discipleship.  Our aim is for as many families and children as possible come to know and share in the love of Christ.

We are looking to appoint someone who enjoys building relationships, encouraging faith in everyday life, and creating welcoming spaces for families to belong.

We are keen to shape the role around the right person, so hours are flexible and negotiable.  Your passion and vision is the most important criteria. 

Priorities of the role

1. Reaching out and building relationships with families and children, from Launceston and the surrounding villages, connecting them with our church community
2. Building links and partnerships with other local community groups, schools and organisations
3. Enabling individuals to discover their faith and grow through discipleship
4. Developing and running fun, inclusive faith-based activities
5. Engaging in developing and implementing the church’s overall mission

The post holder must be a committed and practising Christian. This is a genuine occupational requirement (Equality Act 2010).

To help communities by promoting, developing and supporting sustainable, quality, robustly governed Out of School Childcare Clubs. To meet the need for increased Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) registered childcare across Wales.

• Develop and set up new Out of School Childcare Clubs and/or extend existing provision. Identify, with the help of childcare partnerships, areas for club development.
• Support new and existing clubs and help them develop quality standards, including support and encouragement to register with Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW).
• Support Out of School Childcare Clubs to improve sustainability.
• Support Out of School Childcare Clubs to adopt robust legal structures and governance, including support for unincorporated committees to move to a more suitable limited liability structure.
• Identify training needs for Out of School Childcare and promote training opportunities including Playwork qualifications and continuous professional development, signposting to relevant training. Undertake training to enhance the ability to carry out the role.
• Support the delivery of project work as required.
• Support with the planning, standardisations and delivery of online/face to face network events/workshops/training/webinars that inspire Playworkers and Managers and contribute to the fulfilment of children’s right to play and participation.
• Seek new funding opportunities and write funding applications for review by Line Manager.
• Support the strategic work of the organisation and play a positive role in achievements within the work plan, to benefit the Out of School Childcare sector pan Wales. Be an active member of Clybiau Plant Cymru Kids’ Clubs Development Team and contribute effectively to Local Authority Childcare Teams.
