We are seeking a Head of IT to lead the technical delivery in support of our IT strategy. This is a new role and will be our first standalone IT member of staff. You will shape the IT support and infrastructure for the charity, deliver an excellent day to day service, manage the relationship with our Managed Service Provider (MSP), take responsibility for cyber security and training and, alongside project teams, support the implementation of new technology to the service.

The purpose of the role

The organisation Working with a very well-established charitable foundation, the organisation comprises of three independent schools and two state-funded academies.

Your role The Group Finance Manager will work within a small team and an extended team of around 15-20 finance staff in the schools. You will manage significant investments and investment property. You will also maintain an accurate cash flow forecast for the group. The role will carry an active caseload supporting access into services appropriate to their level of need, with a focus on recovery and independence, and improve self-management of their wellbeing through intensive support. CEPs will support the core community mental health teams working in alignment with Primary Care Networks as part of the new model.

The CEP team will focus on empowering clients to achieve socio-economic goals with clear mental health and wellbeing benefits, and team members will also have specific training in areas such as employment and housing to support the wider PSS service team. We are excited to be advertising the role of Psychotherapy Service Manager at Respond, to lead our team and the development of our psychotherapy services with autistic people and people with learning disabilities who have experienced trauma and their families.  Many of our clients may have experienced complex or multiple traumatic experiences including sexual violence, domestic abuse and neglect.

The Psychotherapy Service provides predominantly longer-term therapeutic support of a year or more, depending on how the work is funded, to an average of 130 unique individuals per year.  The current team of 10 are made up of 4 senior therapists (reporting to the postholder), 4 therapists and 2 honoraries in training, the majority of whom are Arts therapists and work within a psychodynamic and/or systemic model.

We welcome applications from experienced Psychodynamic Counsellor/Psychotherapists, Arts therapists, Psychologists or Family Therapists who are passionate about our work. You will work psychodynamically, champion our trauma informed approach including our reflective practice model and have the opportunity to influence and shape the development of the psychotherapy service.  Leading the small team, you will provide clinical leadership and be Safeguarding lead, ensuring we continue to provide high quality psychotherapy services.  We are offering the role at 4-5 days per week, working in a hybrid manner flexibly. You can also hold your own small case load of clients, supervisees and/or consultancy work within the role.

This is a unique and specialist role and we recognise that you may have more experience in one clinical area or client group than another, given the breadth of our work and whilst you may be experienced in working psychodynamically as a therapist and as a line manager, you may be newer to leading a service for example. Or you may have a great deal of other experience and understanding of the needs of our clients from other work.  We are flexible to develop the right candidate who is passionate about improving the lives of autistic people, people with learning disabilities and their family members.

As the post-holder, you will be working in our Camden Women's Recovery Service hostel providing specialist interventions for a designated caseload and to the wider client group, via our in-house recovery programme. 

Your role will be working intensively with the residents on their supports needs. The role of Complex Needs Project Worker is a specialist role, designed to work with people who may be more difficult to reach and establish working relationships with.  As such, you will role model good practice for working with those who have experienced multiple disadvantage by adopting a trauma informed approach.

Within this setting, you will also work to establish a culture of co-production where residents are at the forefront of the work that is carried out, helping to promote autonomy and build individual confidence and interpersonal skills.

The rota for the post is earlies (8 am - 4 pm) and lates (2.30pm - 10.30pm).

About you:

• Previous experience of working with female rough sleepers or people with complex mental health, physical health or substance use support needs. 
• An understanding of working with people using person-centred approaches and working collaboratively within a harm minimisation and recovery framework.
• A flexible, innovative and creative approach to working with a sometimes hard to engage and challenging client group, is also required.

• Under the direction of the Officers, or Technical Officers, carry out documentary checking with regard to consignments of imported food (not of animal origin), and maintain all necessary electronic and paper-based records.
• Input data into internal and external database systems and carry out general internal database maintenance, e.g. modifying tables, queries and reports.
• Maintain and update electronic and paper-based filing and record systems, including the equipment inventory. Assist with the archiving of items, and deal with confidential documents appropriately.
• Under the direction of Official Veterinarians or Officers, record Products of Animal Origin and other imported food consignments on the computerised cargo handling system and port manifesting systems.
• Under the direction of Official Veterinarians or Officers, they undertake the initial documentary check for third country consignments of products of animal origin in accordance with ISO procedures and ensure that documents for charging purposes are sent to the Finance Section on a daily basis.

• Live in the Corringham/Tilbury/Stanford-Le-Hope area
• Have your own transportation and driving licence
• Be proficient with MS Office, and
• Immediately available to work in May 2024

A large prestigious Local Authority is seeking an immediate experienced Events Officer to join an interesting and developing events team for a 6-month period, or longer.

Purpose of Post

To produce major outdoor events as part of an ambitious new Plan for the City of London, which is set to transform its attractiveness, and to build on its reputation as a destination that is fun, inclusive, sustainable, and welcoming. To deliver a high-quality and popular visitor experience that appeals to a diverse range of audiences within this context.
To support the Events Manager in planning, executing and establishing an annual programme of high impact 'must do' major events that are bold, popular, inclusive, sustainable and truly stand out in the national calendar.
To deliver value to defined audience groups, inviting people to share in the City's unique treasures and providing them with memorable opportunities to experience these through the events programme.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Undertake planning, coordination, production and stakeholder-relations duties for the major events programme.
• Manage internal approval processes, including required applications to Highways, Environmental Health, City Surveyor's and other internal teams.
• Coordinate production logistics, including infrastructure, power, cleansing and security.
• Support the Events Manager by ensuring compliance across licencing, health and safety and other areas; creating, collecting and processing relevant event documents supported by the role (e.g. risk assessment and method statements, public liability insurance certification etc).
• Support the Events Manager to programme and schedule major event content, contributing ideas, assessing timings in relation to the proposed calendar, and advising on logistics.
• Attend all events designated for the role and assume an event/stage manager function as appropriate, responding to any issues as they arise during the event (deferring to the Events Manager where necessary) and ensuring that the highest standards of production and visitor experience are maintained at all times.
• Liaise with internal departments to ensure all relevant teams are aware of the events programme, there are no clashes with the wider organisation's events calendar and all relevant information is circulated internally and communicated effectively.
• Be the main point of contact for artists, event producers, production teams, agencies, suppliers and contractors regarding all event specifications and requirements.
• Support the Events Manager so that all events are delivered on time and to budget, updating budgets and records as required.

• Experience required

• Project management qualification or significant experience of managing event-based projects, ideally (but not essentially) within a cultural or tourism context.
• Training (or good level of experience) in compliance, to include licencing, health and safety, crowd management and/or traffic management.
• Experience of managing cultural events, ideally in an outdoor context. .

• The ability to multitask, prioritise and manage multiple events and projects against challenging deadlines.
• Proven event and stage management skills with demonstrable experience of planning and delivering events
• A well-organised and methodical approach to event planning and delivery.
• The ability to think on your feet; to crisis manage and take corrective action at events if required.
• Demonstrable ability to work closely / communicate effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders at various levels.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to discuss detailed arrangements for events and form successful working relationships with people at all levels.
• A demonstrable interest in the culture, the creative industries and/or public events.

Working hours: 35 hours p/w (Mon-Fri); occasional evening, weekend and Bank Holiday work at events will be required with TOIL offered in return.

Due to a company restructure a position has become available to work in a team of Assessment and Advice Workers in the assessment and signposting of clients experiencing homeless clients with high support needs to relevant support services in the borough.
