Food Project Coordinator
This role will primarily coordinate our growing food club project, Bristol Goods, but will also provide support for our other services that utilize food to engage people in support and build community connections.
Caring in Bristol has a legacy of food-based projects; from our inception as Caring at Christmas, through to Cheers Drive, our pandemic response service. We have a fantastic network in the city’s food and hospitality sector which enables us to work in creative ways to alleviate housing insecurity.
As Food Project Coordinator, you will play a central role in organising our food club operations and ensuring Caring in Bristol upholds food safety standards. A significant part of the role will be centred around building relationships with our food club members and the volunteers that help deliver the service.
The postholder will also have the opportunity to contribute to other food-centred activity within the charity, including food provided to our young people’s services and Caring at Christmas.
Key responsibilities
The workload for the role is split in approximately the proportions:

Food logistics and coordination

Support the Senior Project Coordinator to oversee the sourcing, supply and distribution of food, ensuring a consistent and balanced provision of fresh and ambient products for service users each week. This includes driving the Caring in Bristol van (full UK driving licence essential).

Coordinate and monitor the stock of food, ensuring there’s always sufficient stock levels to cover all the food clubs

Coordinate the weekly Fareshare delivery and sorting/preparation of food in line with organisational procedures

Support the Bristol Goods Team to uphold food safety management within the organisation, ensuring our warehouse space is adequately clean and organised at all times

Manage Bristol Goods volunteers on shift to ensure they understand how to carry out their role safely, and enjoy their experience

Supervise the on-site running of the food clubs on a Rota basis with other Caring in Bristol staff. This does involve cash handling and taking payments.

Support Senior Project Coordinator to form working relationships with our food suppliers and food sector contacts, and seek out potential new opportunities that could benefit the resilience and breadth of Caring in Bristol’s food offer

Supporting the delivery of our other food projects including Bristol Youth Goods.

Interact with members and signpost them to relevant services within Caring in Bristol, in the local community, and city wide.

Keep up to date with support services across the city to provide appropriate signposting and referrals.

Provide support and build relationships with Food Club members through informal check-ins and identify those who may be experiencing challenges impacting their housing or wellbeing. Provide appropriate assistance, including but not limited to, form filling, applying to external volunteering opportunities or training and referring to additional services.

Uphold the safety and safeguarding of members in the delivery and development of the Bristol Goods service.

Record members’ attendance, support provided and engagement on our database in line with data protection policies and regulations.

Role Responsibilities
- Manage and respond to those who contact UK for UNHCR directly by email, phone or mail and escalate queries where necessary.
- Deliver a first-class supporter experience and ensure each point-of-contact works to build and develop the engagement journey.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date supporter records within the charity database, assist with data administration, and ensure data is handled in accordance with regulations.
- Champion supporter care best practice by resolving supporter pain points, sharing supporter insights and feedback with colleagues, and supporting fundraising teams in evaluating campaign performance to identify opportunities to improve the supporter journey.
- Assist with fulfilment agency briefs and quality control measures.
- Work with teams, agencies and third-party platforms to deliver donation processing and campaign fulfilment, ensuring efficient donor acknowledgment
- Support fundraising teams during emergencies.
- Support the fundraising team to deliver high quality in person events in as well as virtual stewardship events.
- Provide personalised in-house thanking for different supporter segments and deliver thanking initiatives such as a thankathons.

The Events and Training Officer will lead on the planning, coordination and delivery of Clinks’ busy calendar of member engagement activity, including online and in-person events, training sessions, and our flagship annual conference.

About the Role
As Programme Coordinator for Centres of Excellence, you’ll play a pivotal role in our flagship financial education accreditation programme, supporting schools to strengthen and embed high-quality financial education across their curriculum and their wider communities.
Working closely with the Programme Manager and colleagues across the charity, you will play a key role in ensuring our network of teachers feel confident, supported and inspired by:
· Supporting the planning and organisation of our annual teacher conferences and skills sharing webinars.
· Creating and coordinating programme marketing and communications.

We are now at an exciting stage of growth and are looking for a proactive and highly organised Services Coordinator to help develop and expand our income-generating services. About the role
This is a hands-on, varied role where you will lead on the coordination, development and promotion of Deaf Unity’s services. These include communication support (CSWs), interpreting provision, translation services, and a growing jobs board.

AFK is a national charity helping young disabled people develop their independence and find employment. As part of this we provide bespoke travel training on London’s public transport network to and from school, college and work placements in the North London area.
We are looking for enthusiastic and flexible candidates to train and support young people to travel specified journeys safely and independently using public transport.
Overall Job Purpose
To train and support a young person to travel a specified journey safely and independently using public transport. Record your observations and give feedback to the travel training coordinator, the young person and their family. To take part in reviews of training as it progresses.
Working Conditions
- Casual working assignment with no minimum hours guaranteed
- Each assignment must be mutually agreed by both parties
- You will be expected to work mornings and/or evenings as required by the job and we will also consider job sharing for this role.
Responsibilities
- Support a young person door-to-door as they travel on public transport.
- Familiarise yourself with the following documents –
- Journey Plan – describes the route you and the trainee will follow, and the alternative route(s) if the need arises.
- Risk Assessment – outlines the support needs of the trainee, and risks and strategies to mitigate them.
- Record your observations using standardised forms and relay your observations to the travel training coordinator on a weekly basis.
- Allow the young person to learn independently and only guide, support or intervene when necessary (this will be included in your induction)
- Approach travel training in a positive manner by reinforcing achievements and viewing obstacles as opportunities to learn. Discuss strategies and agree solutions with the young person, their family and the travel training coordinator.
- To contact the travel training coordinator immediately if there are any emergencies or unexpected situations.
- Ensure that the young person is trained to use the alternative route safely and independently.
- Ensure that the young person learns and/or knows how to contact parents or carers in case of an emergency
- Any issues or concerns must be raised with the travel training coordinator or the business development manager.

Role Purpose
This role provides HR support and administration for all people processes, including recruitment, onboarding and all stages of the employee lifecycle. It also has responsibility for managing the monthly payroll process and employee benefits administration.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for all HR and people related queries, including monitoring a shared inbox, ensuring all queries are dealt with in a timely manner and escalated to the Head of People or other colleagues as required.
- Provide support for all recruitment activity, including advert placement, management and initial sifting of applications, interview scheduling and communication of outcomes.
- Manage the onboarding process for all new starters, including paperwork, pre-employment checks and provision of support for line managers with induction planning.
- Manage the monthly payroll process, ensuring all new starters, leavers and employee changes are recorded and the payroll is processed accurately (via a third party) and in line with deadlines.
