Job description

£53,720 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting)

35 hours per week

Based in Holborn, WC1

The CSP is the trade union and educational, professional organisation for the UK’s 59,000 chartered physiotherapists, support workers and students; and one of the largest representative bodies in healthcare.

We have an opportunity for an experienced and ambitious individual to join us in this key leadership role within the organisation. You will manage the Employment Relations and Union Services (ERUS) employment policy and organising team and relevant sections of the ERUS budget, as well as oversee and co-ordinate the development of ambitious and realistic evidence-based employment policies and strategies. You will work with CSP colleagues to maximise the impact of CSP policy and promote the work of the ERUS directorate.

With proven trade union experience, or an equivalent research and policy work background, we are looking for a confident and natural leader with performance management experience, who has a thorough understanding of, and commitment to, equality, diversity and inclusion principles and can put them into practice. First class communication and data analysis skills are essential, along with the ability to turn complex arguments into easily understandable policies, drawing on an array of insight an evidence.

Our Values

At the CSP our goal is to create a culture which is characterised by innovation, respect, encouragement, passion and teamwork.  We all strive for continuous improvement and to be the best at everything we do.  We aspire to work in a way that embodies our values of learning, courage, inclusive and integrity.  Our shared values are part of our organisational DNA and reflect the expectations we have of ourselves and others. They guide what we do and how we do it to have the greatest impact for our members.
