This role involves supporting with events in your local area throughout the year.

• Access to your own transport with flexibility to visit various locations

CPRE London’s events schedule​ (see website) is growing fast and, with more and more people attending, we now need someone to assist with the management. The role will be to help organise and manage all aspects of our online and occasional in-person events.

We are currently seeking individuals with event management skills and with a passion for environmental conservation to join our team. The role needs 3-4 hours of your time per week with the flexibility to be able to attend online events, especially the lunchtime webinars online, (usually 3rd Thursday of the month); occasional evening in-person meetings (possibly 2 or 3 times a year). Ideally our volunteers will be able to offer a commitment of 6 months or more.

An events volunteer will help CPRE with the work involving multiple events, including the "Urban Tree Festival" and "London Rivers Week". Successful candidates will get the opportunity to participate in a range of fun and interesting events across summer months.

Be part of something special and volunteer at MS Walk London. Join an incredible team of volunteers who will be helping to make MS Walk 2025 bigger and better than ever.

The 2025 event will have around 700 participants who will be walking through London on either the 1km, 5km, 10km or 20km route.

Together these participants will be hoping to raise over 100,000 for the MS Society to help support the MS Community.

There are various roles available on the day from making some noise and encouraging our walkers, to looking after the route and handing out medals at the finish.

Join our team of MS Walk volunteers and support everyone who is walking, rolling and strolling to stop MS.

You'll be required on Saturday 27th September 2025 for one day and there are various times throughout the day. Shifts will be from 2-6 hours depending on role and location.

Introduction

The Passage is establishing a new Special Events Fundraising Committee to support the Senior Events and Community Manager, with the primary goal of growing income from Special Events and attracting new supporters to The Passage.

Purpose of the Committee

• The purpose of the committee is to support The Passage’s Senior Events and Community Manager in delivering successful fundraising events that generate significant income and expand The Passage’s network of supporters. Specifically, the Committee will:
• Work collaboratively with the Senior Events and Community Manager to meet or exceed fundraising goals through special events.

WWF-UK’s Great Wild Walks are inspiring fundraising events set in some of the UK’s most beautiful landscapes. As a volunteer, you’ll play a vital role in making these events a success—supporting walkers, cheering them on, and helping raise crucial funds for WWF’s global conservation work.

Volunteer Roles

Roles are assigned on the day, but here’s what you might be doing:

• Event Village Volunteer: Greet participants, hand out t-shirts and medals, support recycling stations, and help create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Route Marshal: Guide and cheer on walkers along the route, ensuring they stay on track and feel encouraged.
• Back Marker: Walk the full 10-mile route behind the last participants, offering support and removing signage as you go.

You will be part of our team at a Challenge Event e.g. London Marathon and located on the race route. You will be responsible for cheering on and supporting our runners, cyclists or walkers, encouraging them to keep going.

Cheering at events is lots of fun as your part of the whole positive energy and event experience. It helps to lift the spirit of our participants so that they cross the finish line and feel valued for their efforts. Your time will make a huge impact in our participant’s challenge, and you’ll have a nice time while doing it.

What we are looking for

As a Young Epilepsy Volunteer Events Cheer Leader, you will need to have:

· Lots of enthusiasm.

· The ability to help make sure Young Epilepsy is the best cheer squad at the race.

· Good interpersonal skills: you will be talking to some of our incredible supporters’ friends and family as well as the                  Young Epilepsy team.

· Endurance as the days can be quite long, and we have no control over the weather. It can be cold and wet or                       extremely hot – this is the UK!

What Support will I Get

Where are the events.

We have events in Brighton, London, Manchester, Newcastle, Sussex, Scotland. You don’t need to be able to travel to all these areas. Just let us know when you apply which areas would be better suites to you.

How long would I be required at the event.

It depends on the event; a normal event day starts at 9am and ends by 3pm. This is subject to change depending on the event and we are flexible, let us know the times you are available, and we will try to make it work for you.

RollaDome All Skate is looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Events Logistics Officer (Volunteer) to assist in sourcing venues for our skating clubs, classes, and events. This volunteer position is a fantastic opportunity for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in event logistics, venue management, and the expansion of community-driven programs. You will play a key role in ensuring the successful organization of events that contribute to RollaDome’s mission to bring skating to local communities. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Venue Sourcing: Research and identify venues across the UK that can be used for RollaDome’s skating clubs, classes, and events. Ensure that venues are accessible, affordable, and meet the needs of our participants. 

• Permanent Home Search: Assist in sourcing and evaluating potential permanent locations for RollaDome, ensuring they align with the long-term goals of the organization. 

• Vendor and Venue Relations: Build and maintain relationships with venue managers, landlords, and relevant stakeholders. Negotiate favourable terms for venue rentals and partnerships. 

• Venue Suitability Assessment: Evaluate potential venues for their suitability in terms of size, location, cost, accessibility, and other factors critical to the success of RollaDome’s programs. 

• Logistical Planning: Coordinate the logistical needs for clubs and classes, including setting up and maintaining schedules, organizing transportation, and ensuring that all equipment and materials are available at each venue. 

• Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all venues meet health and safety regulations and are compliant with the necessary legal and operational requirements. 

• Venue Database Management: Create and manage a database of potential venues and contacts for current and future use. 

• Collaboration: Work closely with the program managers, event planners, and other team members to ensure that venues meet program needs and contribute to the success of events. 

• Budget Management: Assist in managing the venue budget, ensuring that all bookings are cost-effective and within the organization’s financial capacity. 

• Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports on venue searches, negotiations, and bookings to the management team. 

Skills & Qualifications 

• Strong research and organizational skills, with an ability to find and assess potential venues across the UK. 

• Excellent negotiation and communication skills to secure favourable venue contracts. 

• Strong attention to detail in managing logistics, ensuring smooth coordination for events and programs.

About the role

Become a vital part of our 70th Anniversary! We're looking for a passionate volunteer to join our 4-person Philanthropy and Special Events team for 6 months. Work directly with our Special Events Manager, gaining practical experience as you help deliver a spectacular 70th-anniversary drinks reception for high-value audiences on November 26th 2025 in central London, set to raise £30,000 to ensure the sustainability of our services for years to come.

Key Duties: 

• Research and identify companies and individuals to approach for silent auction prize donations for our 70th-anniversary event, which aims to raise £30,000 to support children and adults with complex needs.
• Contact potential prize donors via email and phone.
• Accurately log all donor communications and prize details on team files and our database.
• Collect key prize information (descriptions, terms, expiry dates) and arrange/coordinate delivery of prizes and vouchers for the event.
• Assist with essential event administration, including creating name badges, inputting guest access and dietary requirements onto a central system, and compiling guestlists onto a check-in system.
• Option to provide event day support on the evening of November 26th in central London.
• Opportunity to gain insight into other areas of event management based on interest, such as invitation concept development, donor stewardship, or drafting communications.
• Maintain a confidential, sensitive, and discrete approach to personal, sensitive, and organisational information.
• Be prepared to assist with various tasks as needed to support event delivery.
