Job description

WHFS is looking for an experienced financial specialist to join its team.

As the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for the charity’s financial management and with the Chief Executive, have oversight of HR and IT operations.  A member of the senior team, you will help shape the organisation’s strategy and provide financial modelling to support sustainability and expansion. You will report directly to the Chief Executive and liaise with our Treasurer.

You will be professionally qualified, have a least three years' experience in a finance role and previously acted in a company secretarial role or providing support to Trustee Boards in a finance capacity. Highly experienced in accounting software packages and experience of transitioning from external accounts provision to in-house is desirable.

WHFS is a women-led charity supporting marginalised women in East London. We are best known for Maternity Mates which supports vulnerable pregnant women and our FGM/C survivors and women's health programme.

Our aim is to support women to improve their health and wellbeing in a meaningful and sustainable way, by giving them the knowledge and confidence they need to do it for themselves. One of the key ways we do this, is to recruit and train local women volunteers to provide emotional and practical support through meaningful relationships.

We are committed to diversity and inclusion. As a women-led charity, our team is representative of the local communities we work with in London.

Interviews will be held on Friday 28th May 2021.
