Queen’s Crescent Community Association (QCCA) runs one of the largest and most diverse older people’s services in Camden. We operate in the borough’s most deprived area and annually support around 300 people aged 55+ to live happier, healthier, more connected lives.

The new co-ordinator will be responsible for delivering a full programme of activities.

We are looking for someone who will:

• Lead, manage and deliver the programme for people aged 55+ in Gospel Oak and the surrounding areas.

• Line-manage sessional and part-time staff, overseeing HR, payroll and supervision.

• Recruit, manage and supervise volunteers, ensuring they are actively engaged in designing and delivering services.

• Prioritise outreach and promote the programme locally, building positive relationships with older people, care homes, sheltered housing, health centres and other partners.

• Deliver regular and accurate reporting, including surveys, consultations and data for board meetings, funders and fundraising.

• Plan and deliver a sustainable programme, balancing free activities with occasional fee-paying or volunteer-led sessions through creative thinking.

• Support older people to access internal and external services that promote their mental health and wellbeing.

• Organise specialist talks, workshops, lunches, coffee mornings and activity refreshments, ensuring all supplies, volunteers and logistics are in place.

• Lead on key administrative duties, including registration forms, attendance registers, CRM updates, progress reports, income and expenditure records, Square Up entries, Equals card spreadsheets, petty cash, payroll hours and the Blip database.

• Plan monthly outings, design the monthly events calendar, maintain the mailing list, and ensure all activity reflects good practice models, quality standards and integration with QCCA’s wider services.

The Clink Charity, founded in 2009, aims to prevent and reduce reoffending through training, rehabilitation and support. We deliver hospitality and horticulture training behind prison walls and in the community, creating an environment where students gain skills, confidence and qualifications to rebuild their lives.

We have trained approximately 5,000 people in prison and delivered 2,600 City & Guilds qualifications across hospitality and food courses.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 General Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for financial management, including strategic planning, reporting, budgeting, systems and controls.
• Responsibility for IT, HR, premises, lettings and administration.
• Active member of the senior leadership team, working with colleagues and the Board of Trustees.

Financial Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the financial strategy and conduct financial modelling for strategic decision-making.
• Lead all financial procedures and reporting, including monthly budget monitoring, management accounts and annual accounts.
• Maintain financial controls, standards and systems.
• Prepare and maintain budgets, financial plans and forecasts.
• Provide information for financial returns, bids and grant claims.
• Maintain the Asset Register and Risk Register.
• Negotiate, manage and monitor tenders, contracts, licences and service agreements.

• Oversee policies and procedures and ensure the Handbook is updated in line with legislation.

Premises Management

• Lead responsibility for the Head Office site, including maintenance and development.
• Report to the CEO and Trustees on premises issues and recommend repairs or capital works.
• Liaise with contractors regarding building maintenance.
• Monitor energy consumption and implement savings.
• Prepare an annual maintenance plan and capital work forecasts.
• Manage income from facility lettings and other revenue sources.
• Manage the premises budget and ensure value for money.

Health and Safety

• Act as Health and Safety Officer and ensure compliance with all legislation and procedures.
• Prepare and update the emergency plan and risk analysis.
• Conduct regular health and safety risk assessments.
• Ensure First Aid requirements are met and logs maintained.
• Arrange health and safety training.

IT Support

• Manage the IT Services contract with Computerlink.
• Ensure IT systems and devices are well maintained.
• Plan and oversee IT projects and updates.

• Ensure all necessary IT licences are in place.

Risk Management and Data Protection

You will:

• Support co-trainers with lived experience to prepare for and deliver Oliver McGowan Tier 2 sessions
• Provide practical support around travel, accessibility and session preparation
• Ensure that training venues and materials are adjusted to meet trainers’ individual needs
• Work collaboratively with the wider Lived Experience Training team to manage session registers, feedback and administration
• Promote inclusion, respect and empowerment in every training interaction

We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate:

• Understanding of the barriers faced by autistic people and people with learning disabilities, and a commitment to inclusion
• Experience delivering face-to-face training, ideally in health, social care or education settings
• Strong communication and organisational skills, with a collaborative approach
• The ability to balance supporting co-trainers’ needs with those of learners
• Confidence managing practical arrangements and adapting to varied situations
