Working within the Development and Outreach Department, (responsible for fundraising, marketing and communications) the Partnerships Team crafts and steward collaborations with companies and brands, in the UK and globally, to generate significant income, raise awareness of WDC brand and work and advocate for positive action.
The Partnerships manager:

- will lead a varied and exciting area of fundraising, covering a diverse range of activities and opportunities which involves balancing the needs of WDC colleagues with external partners.

Merseyside Recycling and Waste Authority (MRWA) is seeking the services of a Community Engagement and Reuse Officer to deliver the annual Zero Waste Community Fund programme and to take a lead in developing a reuse culture within Liverpool City Region (LCR).
Reporting directly to the Strategy and Development Manager, the successful postholder will be an enthusiastic individual who will play a key role in engaging with community organisations across the Liverpool City Region (LCR) to drive meaningful behavioural change.
You will be just as passionate as you are dynamic, empowering local communities whilst exploring reuse opportunities to help LCR achieve its aim of zero avoidable waste by 2040. You will be detail-orientated, adept in project management, administrative and organisational duties.

About MRWA
MRWA is a strategic waste and resource management authority, leading on the recycling and management of municipal waste across LCR.
Along with its private sector partners, MRWA manages waste resources, recycling and the transportation of waste on behalf of six district councils across LCR including Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton, St Helens and Wirral.
With a focus on reducing consumption, reusing more and recycling accepted materials in the right manner, the Authority delivers various behavioural change initiatives for residents and organisations across LCR, and this is reflected in its Vision (2025):
“To lead the way towards zero waste across the Liverpool City Region.”
Currently, the Authority serves more than 1.5 million people, providing 16 Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRCs) across LCR, as part of its contract with Veolia UK. The local HWRCs allow householders to recycle more than 40 different materials. MRWA also manages the processing of the co-mingled recycling collected at kerbside by five of the six district councils, which is sorted via its two Materials Recovery Facilities.

You will play a pivotal role supporting the Charity in several different ways. Working with the Senior Leadership Team, you will ensure the smooth running of the organisation, providing administrative support to the Director of Operations and the Chief Executive. As a self-starter you will manage a range of tasks such as diary management, meeting minutes, assisting with event administration and HR administration. No two days will be the same!

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Director-level communications professional with a strong background in knowledge translation of technical information to different audiences internationally.
Reporting to the Executive Director and serving as a member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), the Director of Communications & Knowledge Translation will provide strategic leadership for all Health Care Without Harm Europe’s Communications and KT activities. The Director will lead exciting new digital KT initiatives in line with our new Strategy and as a key part of a small, high-performing team working at the timely intersection of health and the environment. S/he will lead and support all of the organisation’s engagement and communication with target audiences, so that they achieve maximum impact on European healthcare policy and practice in support of the organisation’s mission.
The post is for an initial 12-month period, at a critical time of development for the organisation’s communications and KT activities. We intend to make the post permanent thereafter, subject to receiving sufficient funding, and we have high hopes that this will be the case.
