About the role:
This is a new and exciting position for a Family Support Worker to join Combat Stress and work alongside the NHS as part of Op Courage throughout the Northwest of England. This position will be largely virtual, however travel to stakeholder locations will be expected as required. The role will be integrated into the Op Courage pathway, and as the service evolves and more staff are recruited, it is anticipated that the geographical region will become more localised, however in the first instance this position will involve supporting multiple NHS trusts within the North-West, therefore it would be preferable if the successful candidate lived within this area.
As Combat Stress is a national charity, the successful candidate will also be expected to create relationships with local authorities throughout the UK and to act as a liaison between the charity and the statutory sector in all matters pertaining to safeguarding.

About the role
We’re seeking an exceptional and experienced project manager to deliver a pivotal role within our ground-breaking national Kinship Training and Support Service, funded by the Department for Education.
This is our largest contract, and this role is key to enabling our organisational activity. The service offers over 300 online and in-person training events and workshops per year, tailored to meet the specific needs of kinship carers. We need to ensure at least 4,600 kinship carers attend.
You’ll be accountable for successful project delivery, working with executive project sponsors (Chief Operating Officer and Services and Digital Director) and workstream leads (Associate Directors and Heads of departments) to deliver KPI’s to deadlines, escalating and managing risks early.
The type of person we're looking for
You’ll have extensive experience in successful delivery of complex projects that include multiple workstreams and a range of internal and external stakeholders, with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Through your experience of planning, monitoring and controlling project delivery, you’ll quickly set up the necessary systems and processes for success.
You’ll bring strong leadership and communication skills to designing and implementing integrated plans, agreeing deliverables and ensuring accountability. You will need to own this programme of work, and you will need to move at pace. You’ll interpret needs effectively, ensure clarity of roles and responsibilities and build project management capability. You’ll have a solutions-focused approach and naturally motivate and inspire others to get things done.
Key responsibilities include:
- Work closely with project sponsors, steering group and core team to be accountable for delivery of the programme project KPIs.

Income from trusts, foundations and statutory sources is an important income stream for the charity and you will work closely with the Head of Fundraising to develop and execute a strategy in order to grow and retain our existing funders, as well as bring new ones on board. We’re looking for someone who has experience of a similar role/s and you must have experience of grant writing. You will have great writing skills and experience of building and maintaining strong relationships and searching for new ones, whether online or in person. You will be enthusiastic, driven and creative with a can-do attitude. This role will have periods of high intensity. Being able to manage the highs and lows of trust and foundations fundraising is key.

Catch22 are excited to be recruiting for a Senior Service Manager for our West Mercia Child Exploitation Service.
This role has responsibility for the strategic development and operational management of Catch22’s Integrated Child Exploitation Service funded by the West Mercia Police and Crime Commissioner.
Integrated Child Exploitation Service A specialist prevention and support service for children, young people under 18 and their families who are at risk of, currently experiencing or has been impacted by Child Criminal or Child Sexual Exploitation across the West Mercia region. The service will consist of four teams located in Worcestershire, Telford and Wrekin, Herefordshire & Shropshire.
The role will also support the development of the Young People and Families (YPF) Hub and the implementation of learning and development, performance and impact, business development and wider work streams as required. The SSM will work with the YPF SMT and will take a lead role in implementing our YPF strategy in this area.
The role can be home based, but time spent in each of the services alongside travel across the UK will be required to support delivery and growth of services across the Hub. The ideal candidate will have experience of delivering and managing similar services, the right mix of leadership, passion and energy, and an innovative nature. A proven track record in engaging with positive relationships with commissioners and securing new business is essential. The role will involve promoting, connecting and building services in order to impact the lives of vulnerable young people with complex needs
Some of your day-to-day tasks will be:
- To lead and ensure the delivery of high-quality services that meet all targets, standards and KPIs and to take prompt action to address any areas of underperformance.

The Role: Family Support Worker (Bereavement)
As a Family Support Worker at Addiction Family Support, you will provide crucial emotional and practical assistance to individuals bereaved by the loss of a loved one due to addiction. You will be responsible for delivering a range of services to provide support to people bereaved (and affected) by someone else’s harmful use of alcohol, drugs or gambling. Through both individual and group support, you will offer a compassionate and understanding presence, helping people navigate grief and loss in a safe and supportive environment.
Our service delivery takes place via several methods, including taking calls on our telephone Helpline, responding to emails through our email service and delivering the 5-Step Method intervention to individuals, couples and groups and facilitating group support via an online platform.
Working patterns are flexible to allow our services to run from 9am and 9pm 7 days a week. You may be expected to work on a rota basis, covering shifts during this period.

We're on the lookout for a Social Media Manager who is not just a content creator but a strategic thinker, ready to take our digital presence to new heights.
In this pivotal role, you'll have the unique opportunity to shape the voice of our organisation across multiple channels, reaching an audience of over 800,000 followers. Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily management of social media channels (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TIKTOK) with a combined audience of 800,000 followers.
- Oversee community engagement and protect online reputation, particularly during high-profile campaigns.
- Develop and execute strategies for key campaigns such as the Great Daffodil Appeal, National Day of Reflection, and brand activations.
- Ensure social media aligns with broader communications and marketing plans.
- Lead the content creation process in collaboration with PR, Content, and Creative teams to produce engaging posts
- Analyse performance data to refine and optimise content for maximum impact.
- Manage budget for organic and paid content strategies.
- Work with the Digital Marketing Manager and external agencies to optimize ad spend and engagement, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Lead regional social media efforts to connect with local audiences in relevant and vibrant ways.
- Coordinate content across 24 regional accounts with teams from across the nation.
- Track and report on social media performance, focusing on metrics like reach, engagement, and influence.
Skills and experience
- Experience of social-first content development, across Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Tik Tok, Linkedin and Youtube.
- Proven ability in using data measurement and insights to improve and optimise social performance.
- Proven recent track record of developing, managing and growing successful online communities
