What are we looking for?

We are looking for enthusiastic and well-connected individuals to support our annual Festival of Trees event in a Sponsor Liaison Volunteer role. Christmas is a crucial time of year for us at the NSPCC and this event is a magical way to bring people together, promote the importance of the work that we do and of course raise vital funds for those who are supported by the NSPCC.

What will you be doing?

We are recruiting for individuals to take on a role of: liaising with potential sponsors to bring them on board, maintaining relationships with existing sponsors to ensure continued support, using personal/community connections to secure new sponsors and communicating with supporters. We would also love it if you could assist with general event logistics such as decorating and setting up/tidying materials and equipment.

How regular is the volunteering?

This is a flexible volunteer role that can easily fit around you and your schedule. The work for this role will be done in the months leading up to Christmas, and although there is no specific time commitment, there will be a requirement to contact sponsors during their opening hours, so it is important that some of your availability is during typical working hours. We can work with you to find times that suit you and your lifestyle!

Christmas is a crucial time of year for the NSPCC and this event is a magical way to bring people together, promote the importance of the work that we do and of course raise vital funds for those who need it most.

What will you be doing?

The key responsibilities of this role include: decorating Christmas trees, tidying and sorting event spaces before, during and after the event, moving equipment and materials, undecorating and packing away items, organising storage cupboards, and overall just ensuring that things run in a smooth and efficient manner. If you are a creative and organised Christmas fan, then this could be the perfect role for you!

How regular is the volunteering?

The work for this role will be done in the run up to Christmas, and within the first couple of weeks of the new year. We will require your help on a few specific days during this time period (yet to be decided), and these will usually be weekdays. You will be given details of the specific dates/times with plenty of notice and we will do our best to work around the availability of all the volunteers! There is no requirement for you to be available for every single one, so if you just have the occasional day available to support us, then this will be absolutely fine.

Wild Paths 2025 - Festival Support

This year, Shelter Norfolk have been chosen as the Charity Partner of Wild Paths Festival.

Wild Paths are asking for donations on ticket sales and at the bars. In return, Shelter are recruiting 20 volunteers to help at the festival across 13-19 October. Various shifts will be available.

Successful Shelter volunteers will be supported to join the Wild Paths Festival Team. They will have an induction to their role with the Wild Paths Team.

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for enthusiastic, creative and organised people from across the South West region to join our South West Festival Committee group. Our Committee group helps us to attend festivals across the region and be our NSPCC ambassadors. 

Around 90 per cent of our income comes from our supporters and we couldn’t continue doing what we do without them. That means, our community fundraising volunteers play a really important part in rallying people together to raise vital funds which help to protect children and prevent abuse.

What you’ll do:

From organising fun family friendly activities to coordinating attendance, you'll be showing that we are always here for children when they need us most. Attending festivals helps raise awareness of NSPCC and Childline services. NSPCC annually attend WOMAD in Malmesbury, Wiltshire (end of July) and are exploring future opportunities with Glastonbury and Bestival. Your role will be to support our Community Fundraising team at the festival, taking on the running of engagement activities, chatting with the public and promoting a positive image of the NSPCC.
You’ll be a valued part of one of our Volunteer Community Fundraising Teams across the UK, raising awareness and funds. We appreciate that work, family and friends come first and, with that in mind, this role offers flexibility to fit in with your lifestyle. You only need to commit to a couple of hours a month in the run up to the event, the festival period itself but if you want to do more that would be great.

What you’ll get:

We’ll support you with advice, skills and tools to help you fundraise and spread the word of the NSPCC. You'll have access to our volunteer portal offering training opportunities; knowledge and learning, discount portal and chatter function.

We're looking for Community Engagement Volunteers who can act as ambassadors for Dialogue Express Cafe, Stratford.

As a volunteer, you'll:-

• Help spread the word in your community about the café and the Jazz Festival before the event.

Be part of the fright! Volunteer at the Edinburgh Horror Festival’s 10th year (23–29 Oct 2025). As Front of House, you’ll help with tickets & audiences while enjoying free shows, treats, and perks at Scotland’s Most Haunted Pub — The Banshee Labyrinth!

No FOH experience? No problem, we will provide training.

• Assist with changeovers between shows (reset seating, clear spaces).
• Check tickets, greet audiences, and guide them to seats.
• Manage doors during performances to minimise disruption.
• Answer questions and point audiences to online or box office tickets.
• Support performers and the organising team.

The Orpheus Centre is a specialist further education college and charity working to support young disabled adults, who are passionate about the arts, to achieve their potential and lead independent lives.

Set up by musician and songwriter Sir Richard Stilgoe, Orpheus offers learning, supported housing and personal care on the same site in Godstone, Surrey.

Volunteer Role:

As an Action Team Volunteer, you will play a vital role in assisting with our fundraising activities throughout the year, from fun runs, festivals and supermarket collections to special events. By sharing your skills and time, you’ll meet new people as part of a friendly team that makes a difference in the community and have a rewarding experience helping spread awareness of Orpheus and the importance of the funds our supporters raise.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for volunteers who are friendly, have buckets of enthusiasm, have good communications skills and able to work as part of a team. What will you be doing?

· Cheering, marshalling, collecting money or providing practical support in other ways at our events, such as setting up stalls, selling merchandise and raffle tickets to car park attendants

· Other ad hoc activities that arise on the day

Who are we?

We are Buttons & Bubbles CIC. Our aim is to increase and representation across society for disabled families. We have several different services including inclusive characters, sensory workshops, resources, events, advocacy and more.

What are we looking for?

Are you creative? Or looking for a practical volunteering project with artistic flair? Then we might just have something for you!
This year we turned our inclusive characters into props and began creating our ‘safe bubble’ at festivals. We want to continue this work and made some improvements! Jazz up the props and make our safe space look amazing. In a nutshell we want to make our props more interactive and create props, decorations and lighting for our safe space.But we are super open to hearing ideas as to what we could do with this!

What do we expect?

• Be willing to undertake our training programme which will be done virtually and at a time to suit you.

• Have an Enhanced DBS check (preferably be on the update system)

• Sign our volunteer contract. (If you disagree with anything in it please do discuss it with us and we will be happy to have a conversation and make small changes if appropriate).

• A positive attitude to disability and illness. We are happy to answer questions on this.

Activists Without Borders (AWB) is a UK-based international advocacy and campaign group dedicated to protecting human and environmental rights, empowering frontline activists, and addressing injustices worldwide. Our work includes the Activists Without Borders Film Festival (AWBFF), celebrating social filmmaking for change, and the AWB Academy, which provides accessible training and resources for grassroots activists and campaigners.

Role Overview

We are seeking a creative and dedicated Volunteer Social Media Officer to strengthen AWB’s online presence across platforms. You will play a key role in promoting our campaigns, events, and initiatives—including AWBFF and AWB Academy—through engaging, impactful, and visually appealing digital content.

Key Responsibilities

• Content Creation & Scheduling – Produce and publish compelling posts for AWB’s social media channels, aligning with campaign messages and organisational goals.
• Visual Design – Create engaging graphics, reels, and infographics (knowledge of Canva is essential).
• Campaign Support – Amplify AWB campaigns on human rights, climate, and social justice, ensuring consistent and timely messaging.
• Event Promotion – Drive awareness and engagement for AWBFF, AWB Academy, and other key AWB initiatives.

Based in the Reception of the Main Gallery, you will be the first point of contact for visitors to the Gallery, giving a warm welcome, assisting with enquiries and ensuring a high-quality visitor experience. You will also support the day to day running of the Gallery, dealing with administrative duties and supporting the Gallery Shop, sharing product information with visitors and taking sales.  

Tasks and Responsibilities  

• Welcoming and engaging visitors, providing information about the gallery and programmes  

• Responding to telephone, email and face to face enquiries  

• Being a visible presence in the Gallery space, ensuring everyone’s safety and the security of artwork and our retail space 

• Guiding visitors around the gallery and wider site 

• Assisting with sales and shop displays, including cash handling 

• Maintaining a neat and tidy reception and retail area  

• Supporting our retail work, with stocktaking, pricing and other tasks 

• Monitoring visitor numbers and contributing to evaluation initiatives  

• Representing the Gallery and Richmond Arts Service

Training and Support

Availability  

The gallery is open to the public Tuesday to Sunday, 10am – 5pm, with two volunteer shifts a day, 10am – 1pm and 1pm – 5pm.   

We ask for a minimum commitment of one shift every fortnight, although there is flexibility over scheduling.   

Location  

This role is based at Orleans House Gallery in the Main Gallery building.

Expenses  

We will cover travel expenses up to £14 per day.

Richmond Arts Service is based at Orleans House Gallery on the Riverside in Twickenham, promoting arts and culture through a programme of contemporary art exhibitions, festivals, events and activities for everyone in the community.

We bring thought-provoking art to the Borough and cultivate a network of individuals, organisations and programmes that nourishes the arts, local organisations and communities.

Home to the Richmond Borough Art Collection, comprising of over 4,400 artworks, at a site with a rich 300+ year history, Orleans House Gallery works with local, national and international artists and community partners to engage with the community, as we have done since 1972.

Our shops generate funds that directly support the whole family, from medical care and therapeutic services for children, to emotional and practical care for families, to sibling support activities & experiences.

Your role will help us continue providing vital care and support to Tŷ Hafan children and their families.

About our Porthcawl Shop:

Porthcawl is a lovely destination seaside town with a one street shopping area in close proximity to beaches, a funfair and some fabulous ice cream parlours!

There is often entertainment in the band stand opposite the shop and who can forget the famous Elvis festival.

Mandy, her staff team and their loyal volunteer team provide first class customer service and have built relationships with our lovely regulars who shop with us, very kindly donate their pre-loved items as well as buy their weekly lottery ticket. 

Considerations:

Age requirement: 16+

Location: 54 John Street, Porthcawl CF36 3BD  

Commitment:Our shops operate Monday-Saturday, 9am-4:45pm and we appreciate any time you can spare, but ideally at least 2 hours per week.

Shifts will be discussed during your informal chat.
