We are looking for someone to support our small Communications & Marketing team with content and communications activity, as well as some marketing initiatives.

Develop and implement effective content and communications to engage and grow Mast Cell Action’s impact across the UK. Main responsibilities include management of website content, design and development of social media content and plans, as well as executing corporate communication strategy.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Support delivery of our communications strategy, with focus on digital communications, content and community events.

Social media management and planning, including content creation (which must include video and design)

Administer and manage the creation and publishing of relevant, original, high-quality content (for all channels and member communications)

Assist in the development and deployment of the communications & marketing strategy

Undertake innovative marketing of events, with a focus on delegates and sponsors/advertisers

Planning, writing and coordinating of corporate communications, including Mast Cell Action's website and e-newsletters

Assist in the planning and execution of media relations and public affairs

Prepare accurate reports on overall performance across all of our key channels

Manage Mast Cell Action's brand and application

• Supporting service users to learn the skills to keep in touch with family and friends, such a video call and messaging
• Support individuals to agree and aspire on the steps/ goals they would like to achieve in the sessions
• Lead on the logistics and organisation of the sessions alongside the staff team
• Keep a record of attendees, provide feedback, and report any concerns to the staff team

We are looking for a volunteer who understands children with specific needs particularly around attention and memory challenges. Through your support, encouragement and tutoring you will make a difference to the people you work with! Hestia provides holistic, one-to-one support in our refuges and the community. Our refuge services are for women and children, offering a safe place to stay and vital emotional and practical support.

Outside of our refuges, most of our support services are accessible by anyone who has experienced domestic abuse, including men.

In the last year, 3,855 women and children were supported by Hestia to recover from domestic abuse.

Anyone can experience domestic abuse, at any point in their life, regardless of their background, age, gender, ethnicity or sexual orientation. However, it is a gendered crime, with women being three times more likely to be victims.

We help people understand what domestic abuse is and develop the knowledge, skills and tools they need to protect themselves, stay safe and leave a relationship, if and when they’re ready to do so.

What you will be doing

• To support children who are not confident with numeracy to develop these skills through tutoring sessions over a video call
• Engage in conversation, problem solving examples, maths based support
• To keep records of conversations and update the support worker on progress of sessions

The skills you need

• Interest in supporting children to develop their math skills. Background in teaching maths/numeracy is desirable
• Good communication skills
• Ability to provide a supportive and inclusive atmosphere
• A tutoring qualification is desirable but not essential
• Mathematics qualification is essential

Position Summary

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Volunteer Communication Officer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to use storytelling, media engagement, and strategic communication to drive social and environmental impact.

Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement communication strategies to raise awareness of RUWAI’s work. Create compelling content (articles, social media posts, newsletters, press releases, donor reports). Manage and grow RUWAI’s social media platforms and online presence. Support the design and dissemination of impact stories, campaign materials, and advocacy content. Liaise with media, partners, and stakeholders to promote RUWAI’s initiatives. Assist in organizing communication for events, project launches, and campaigns.

Ideal Candidate: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience in social media management, content creation, or journalism. Knowledge of environmental and rural development issues is a plus. Graphic design, photography, or video editing skills are an advantage. Committed to RUWAI’s mission and able to volunteer 5–10 hours per week.

We are seeking a dedicated Technical Support Specialist to serve as the first point of contact for our application users, including students, instructors, and administrators. This role involves resolving technical issues, supporting user onboarding, and developing helpful resources and documentation. You will collaborate with our digital and product teams to ensure a seamless and stable user experience.

Key tasks

• Serve as the primary point of contact for application users, addressing technical issues and inquiries across various channels including email, chat, and support ticketing systems.

• Diagnose and resolve user interface (UI) issues specifically related to the student application.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of frequently asked questions and common technical issues to enhance self-service options and improve overall support efficiency.

• Effectively escalate complex or unresolved technical problems to the digital team.

• Provide support for new users onboarding onto instructor and administrator portals, including user training sessions and the creation of helpful support materials like how-to guides and instructional videos.

• Collaborate closely with the product development team to thoroughly test new features and updates prior to their public release, ensuring stability and user-friendliness.
