Trustees
Term: Trustees will be appointed for a four year term and can serve consecutive terms.
Remuneration: Currently, the role of Trustee is not accompanied by any financial remuneration, although reasonable expenses may be claimed.
Attendance: We expect Trustees to be able to attend all board meetings, our annual strategic away day and engage with Agenda Alliance in other ways. Board meetings are typically held online, with one meeting held in person per year. There is often the option to join a board meeting from the Agenda office (London E2) if preferred.

About the role:
- To play an active role in the Agenda Alliance Board to ensure the organisation delivers on its mission and vision and is effectively governed.
- We want Trustees to join us in being member-led, women and girls-led and anti-oppressive.
- Our Trustees help shape the strategic direction of Agenda Alliance and provide leadership to ensure that we have the maximum impact for women and girls.
- We are looking for up to 3 Trustees to join our Board who match our ambition and are excited to support Agenda Alliance, as we solidify our position within the sector and grow our reach.
Responsibilities include:
- Help shape the strategic direction and provide leadership to Agenda ensuring that we have maximum impact for women and girls
- Fulfil all legal duties and responsibilities of a trustee and ensure sound governance and financial health of Agenda
- Ensure that Agenda operates within its charitable objectives and that decisions taken are in the best interests of women and girls at risk
- Establish and build a strong, effective, open and supportive relationship with the Chief Executive and other staff
- Act as an ambassador for the charity
- Support funding approaches to gain additional funds
About you:
We are seeking Trustees with skills and experience in the following areas, which we have identified as gaps on our Board:
- Income generation and fundraising, particularly for corporates and trusts and foundations
- Equity, Diversity & Inclusion
- Impact measurement
- Finance
- HR
- We are also interested in hearing from individuals with experience in education, particularly school exclusions as this is a key area of our work.
Centring lived experience is important for everything Agenda does, and we are proud to have women with Lived Experience of the areas we work in our board. If you have Lived Experience of any of the areas agenda works on, we would particularly welcome your application.

We’re looking for someone with an understanding of leadership for our charitable organisation. If you have previous experience of governance in an appropriate corporate or charity environment, or of general charity trusteeship, that will be highly-valued.
This is a high-profile appointment, with strong commitment to our values and to the future of our charity both essential qualities.
Our trustees are the people who make the top-level decisions for our charity. Our Board includes people with understanding of our counselling services, and we require all new trustees to have strong empathy with our cause and our delivery.
If you can think and lead strategically and plan long-term, you have the primary skills needed by our trustees; you also must be able to work collectively with other Board members.
We are a charity not a business, but we apply business principles alongside our values to govern our organisation. We are looking for fresh expertise and experience from a variety of backgrounds to our charity. The Board meets quarterly face-to-face at our premises, GU47 8HN, on a mid-week afternoon (this is flexible, and can be subject to future discussion/negotiation), for up to three hours.

IJAD is a dance company working at the intersection of performing arts and technology and we’re looking for volunteers to help us with our upcoming live/hybrid festival at Riverside Studios Hammersmith, OOTFest25 (UN)SEEN.
About OOTFest: OOTFest is a festival of live/hybrid performances, workshops, expert panel discussions and installations that will take you to unchartered new worlds via digital-immersive technologies. It celebrates artists who take risks, embrace uncertainty and push the boundaries of what’s possible.
This year’s OOTFest will take place in-person at Riverside Studios, Hammersmith and online via the Open Online Theatre platform, 5-8 June 2025.

We’re looking for volunteers to help out in-person at Riverside Studios. Each shift will be varied and we’re looking for volunteers to:
- Take photos and videos for social media, alongside the official photographer
- Create high-quality content for IJAD’s social media channels
- Post content on IJAD’s social media channels throughout the festival
- Assist the festival artists
- Greet attendees and answer queries
- Direct attendees around the venue
- Help with setting up and packing down
What will be required from you?
Our main goal is to ensure a positive experience for all volunteers and we can be flexible with timings, however we would particularly love to hear from those who are able to commit to volunteering for multiple (3-4hr) shifts over the course of the festival.
You will be required to attend an online briefing in advance of the festival, as well as in-person induction at Riverside Studios (w/c 2 June).

You will understand the needs of people affected by MS in your area and be sympathetic to the needs and motivations of volunteers. You’ll be confident using Microsoft Office, the internet and email. You’ll be able to apply disability, equality and inclusion practices and understand and apply our risk management system. Ideally you’ll understand the local area and organisations that provide local services.
You will be reliable and easy to contact and you need to live in or near the Spelthorne, Staines and District area to carry out this role.

We are looking to recruit a Support Volunteer for the Wandworth Group. As our local group Support Volunteer you’ll help people affected by MS find information about local and national services.
