Job description

Salary: £19.18 per hour
Contract: Full-time, 3-month temp
Location: Central London 2-days per week, 3-days remote
Hours: 35 hours per week
Start date: ASAP

We are delighted to be supporting a world-renowned higher education institution in their search for a Principal Giving Coordinator to join their Advancement team. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised administrator with excellent stakeholder management skills to support high-value fundraising activity and play a key role in delivering an ambitious philanthropic strategy.
Working within a fast-paced and collaborative environment, you will support senior fundraising professionals, key volunteers and major donors, helping to drive engagement, stewardship and operational excellence across the Principal Giving function.
Key Responsibilities for this role include:
Fundraising & Team Support

  • Providing comprehensive administrative support to the Principal Giving team.
  • Coordinating complex diaries, international travel arrangements and expense processing.
  • Assisting with the preparation of fundraising materials, presentations, donor briefings and strategic documentation.
  • Organising team meetings, preparing agendas, taking minutes and tracking actions.
  • Supporting donor stewardship and engagement activities.

Data Management & Reporting

  • Maintaining accurate donor and prospect information within CRM systems.
  • Working closely with colleagues to ensure gifts, donor interactions and fundraising activity are correctly recorded.
  • Supporting income tracking, reporting and performance monitoring activities.

Stakeholder & Donor Relations

  • Acting as a key point of contact for enquiries, ensuring a professional and responsive service.
  • Drafting correspondence including invitations, donor communications and briefing materials.
  • Building strong relationships with colleagues, alumni, volunteers and external stakeholders.

Events & Project Coordination

  • Supporting the delivery of donor cultivation events in the UK and internationally.
  • Working with colleagues across the organisation to support key fundraising and engagement events.
  • Assisting with projects and initiatives that contribute to fundraising success and operational effectiveness.

Continuous Improvement

  • Reviewing processes and systems to identify opportunities for increased efficiency and improved ways of working.
  • Contributing to the ongoing development of best practice across the team.

To be considered for this position, you should bring:

  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with confidence engaging a range of stakeholders.
  • Experience working with databases, CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy when managing data and documentation.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in a customer-facing, fundraising, alumni relations or stakeholder-focused environment would be advantageous.
