• Strong Researcher: Skilled in finding relevant information, particularly about funding bodies and their criteria.

• Excellent Communicator: Able to write clearly, concisely, and persuasively (essential for grant applications) and comfortable with outreach.

• Limited Access to Reproductive Health Services: Many university students in Uganda face barriers such as stigma, limited health resources, and lack of awareness, which prevent them from accessing essential services like family planning, STI testing, and HIV prevention.

• Stigma and Misinformation about Sexual Health: In my Ugandan community, discussions about sexual and reproductive health are often taboo, leading to misinformation and fear.

International Fundraising Manager (US & Europe-based candidates)

Wekume is a youth-led movement empowering students to reach their full potential by breaking barriers to sexual and reproductive health (SRH) through collaboration, empathy, innovation, and community. Our core product — the Wekume app — provides university students with trusted, discreet access to lifesaving tools like SafeChat, QuickTest, ARV Corner, and SRH product ordering. Together with our on-campus engagements and social media platforms, Wekume helps students protect themselves and rewrite the narrative around SRH in Uganda.

Role Summary Wekume is seeking a Volunteer International Fundraising Manager to design, build, and lead our international fundraising efforts. This is a key leadership role, critical to growing partnerships with corporations, individuals, businesses, organizations, and allied nonprofits to help fund Wekume’s transformative work. You will recruit, guide, and mentor a team of experienced fundraisers and gift officers, working together to secure the support needed to:

1. Develop and launch our new and improved Wekume app
2. Fund vital programs, SRH product access, marketing, transportation, volunteer support, leadership salaries, and more
3. You will also help share Wekume’s story globally — inviting the world to stand in compassion and purpose alongside our innovative Ugandan team, and to advocate for hope, dignity, and the power to protect oneself.

Note: Wekume has 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsorship through Give to Africa, enabling U.S. donors to make tax-deductible donations. Additionally, Friends of Wekume is a non-profit charity awaiting 501(c)(3) status to provide US-based fundraising support to Wekume in Uganda.

Key Responsibilities

1. Build and manage Wekume’s international fundraising team

At MiMIAT Health, we are empowering heroes with chronic conditions. We offer a multilingual app (iOS & Android), already live across Europe and Kenya, that enables patients to track symptoms, diet, weight, and stool. Soon, they’ll also integrate wearables and upload clinical records, building a unified, patient-owned health timeline.

Chronic disease management today remains highly fragmented, inequitable, and provider-centric, leaving millions without continuous care, especially in low-resource or high-mobility settings. Patients often lose ownership of their own health data, resulting in reactive instead of proactive care, late interventions and detections of flare ups, and preventable hospitalizations. 89% of chronic patients fail to consistently track their condition due to fragmented, manual, or incomplete tools, and 71% of doctors report that disconnected apps and records create gaps in delivering personalized care. In many regions, patients without smartphones or stable internet access are further excluded from digital health innovation.

MiMIAT Health addresses these challenges by creating a unified, patient-driven platform for structured health data aggregation, with mobile and SMS-based accessibility. Finance and Fundraising Lead

�� What are we looking for? We’re looking for a Finance & Fundraising Lead (volunteer, 4–5h/week, with potential for paid FTE based on performance and funding) to help us build the financial backbone of MiMIAT Health as we scale. This is a hands-on, high-trust role for someone who believes numbers can drive impact, not just profit. Based purely on performance and commitment, this role has the potential to evolve into a paid part-time or full-time position as the organization grows and funding permits. You’ll work directly with our Founder/CEO and our COO, shaping how we budget, forecast, raise capital, and build confidence with funders. As we close our pre-seed round and enter the next phase, your contribution will directly influence how we grow, and how many patients we reach. You’ll be joining a committed, purpose-driven team spread across three continents and five countries, all working remotely, all led by mission.

�� What you’ll do? Co-develop MiMIAT’s financial planning, budgeting processes, and 3–5 year financial models to support strategic growth, capital forecasting, and upcoming fundraising milestones. – Create clear, funder-facing materials (budgets, burn rates, strategic use of funds). – Support with fundraising strategy and active pipeline management. – Help structure and track our runway, budgeting, and internal financial processes. – Collaborate on shaping our investor narrative and data room, alongside CEO.

UNIMAC is looking for a Fundraising & Grant Writing Specialist to help us expand our reach and empower more women and youth through education, advocacy, mentorship, and leadership development.

Our programs provide life-changing opportunities, but we need dedicated fundraising experts to help us sustain and scale our impact.

What You’ll Do �� Grant Writing & Applications – Research, write, and submit compelling grant proposals to potential funders. �� Partnership Development – Identify and engage sponsors, donors, and corporate partners who align with our mission. �� Fundraising Campaigns – Plan and execute online and offline fundraising initiatives to support program sustainability. �� Donor Engagement – Develop strategies to maintain relationships with existing supporters and attract new donors. �� Impact Reporting – Assist in tracking and reporting fundraising outcomes to ensure transparency and effectiveness.

Who We're Looking For ✅ Experience in fundraising, grant writing, or sponsorship acquisition. ✅ Strong research and proposal-writing skills. ✅ Ability to create and execute strategic fundraising plans. ✅ Passion for social impact, women’s empowerment, and leadership development. ✅ Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Breaking Cycles of Marginalization Many women face barriers such as low self-esteem, lack of purpose, and limited access to resources. Grace to Grow provides leadership development, mentorship, and entrepreneurial training to help these women rediscover their self-worth and walk in their God-given purpose.

Reducing Economic Inequality By offering skills training and financial literacy education, Grace to Grow empowers women to start businesses, secure employment, and achieve financial independence, thus tackling systemic economic disparities.

Enhancing Mental and Emotional Well-being Through counselling and mindfulness programs, Grace to Grow supports women dealing with anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges, promoting holistic wellness and resilience.

Fostering Community Transformation By helping women become leaders and contributors in their communities, the program plants seeds of hope that ripple outward, creating long-term social change and uplifting entire communities.
