Purpose of the job
To be responsible for the successful delivery of ELBA’s Dragon Award Nominated Evolve Project, delivering exciting, innovative employer-supported volunteering projects that meet the expectations of specific corporate supporters, and the needs of the community with a key geographical focus in Hackney, Tower Hamlets and Haringey.
About Evolve
The Evolve Project is a collaborative partnership between Linklaters, UBS, Societe Generale and the Societe Generale UK Foundation, delivered by ELBA. Overall, the Evolve project aims to address the wider barriers and challenges faced in society & by community organisations & charities with a particular focus on Hackney and its surrounding boroughs of Tower Hamlets & Haringey. The project does this through supporting community organisations who are addressing different barriers like post Covid recovery, and the cost-of-living crisis, alongside continuing challenges of funding & sustainability.
Evolve aims to build the capacity of thee organisations, especially supporting the leadership, so they can keep up with the increased demand they are experiencing. Evolve has been designed to dynamically respond to the changing needs of local community organisations, drawing on the time, skills and expertise of employee volunteers to address the most pressing community challenges. The project is currently in its fourth year with funding secured for the following two years.
The role requires an ability to build a close and collaborative relationship across the community sector, particularly in Hackney, as well as with the corporate funders. A key focus is developing and delivering a range of exciting employee volunteering activities (including the Leaders in Partnership and Emerging Leaders coaching programmes) as well as leading monthly delivery and quarterly steering group meetings with the three business partners to ensure volunteer engagement and session development is meeting the aims and objectives of the project.
The post will be managed by the Head of Programme, Connect which sits within the Community Works programme at ELBA. The post holder will have weekly one-to-one meetings for input and guidance to achieve agreed targets and will be subject to annual performance appraisals.

Job Description
Key Evolve duties
● Responsible for day-to-day development and delivery of the Evolve project
● Collaborate closely with community partners, corporate partners and the ELBA team to understand community needs and design appropriate employee volunteering activities to address these needs
● Deliver a range of employee volunteering opportunities focused on capacity building for local community organisations within the geographical remit
● Build and maintain strong relationships with Evolve partners’ Corporate Responsibility teams by organising regular meetings and responding promptly to company requests
● Develop and promote a range of employee volunteering opportunities to corporate partners and manage delivery of volunteer requests
● Organise delivery of monthly delivery meetings and quarterly project steering group meetings including preparation of supporting documents and minute taking
● Achieve good delivery targets of employee volunteers engaged and beneficiaries supported
● Maintain strong impact reporting for the project and long-term tracking
Main duties
● Build effective working relationships with ELBA corporate partner organisations to understand their business and functions, culture and priorities, generate opportunities suitable for their employees, manage expectations and deliver on activities in support of programme and project goals and objectives
● Identify and build relationships with a range of community stakeholders, including charities, community groups, social enterprises and grassroots organisations
● Assess organisational needs and develop creative corporate volunteering opportunities to meet the needs and build the capacity of community stakeholders
● Source, place, train and manage cohorts of corporate volunteers in line with business plan and project targets
● Identify a range of corporate volunteering opportunities that can facilitate large-scale participation and/or collaboration for ELBA corporate partners
● Generate regular communication items such as an annual report, programme impact reports, articles, write awards nominations and case studies and maximise the use of social media platforms
● Work with the Community team to ensure programme materials are kept up to date
● Implement effective evaluation and impact measurement tools in line with ELBA corporate partner requirements, ensuring that evaluation informs best practices to ensure continuous improvement
General
● Adhere to ELBA’s safeguarding policies and procedures at all times
● Develop a broad knowledge of regeneration programmes and local authority priorities in east London and specific geographical area
● Support the wider Community team with the planning and delivery of key events
● Support Connect Head of Programme to align Evolve’s offering with the wider Connect programme
● Use ELBA internal systems to maintain records and report progress, including due diligence and volunteer recording via Salesforce within set timescales
● Ensure that effective project management systems for monitoring and evaluation are in place and keep detailed records

● Proactively generate case studies, news articles, photos and social media content to promote the work of ELBA in line with ELBA communication targets and protocols

About the Role:

Overseeing the creative and delivery of campaigns from initial brief through to post campaign analysis, contributing to and ensuring the Supporter Activation team meets agreed objectives and income targets.

You'll also:
- Lead on the management, delivery and development of all aspects of the DRTV programme. Taking particular responsibility for creative development and innovation, media planning and campaign analysis.
- Support the Senior Marketing Manager (Supporter Activation) in the strategy and innovation of the DRTV programme to drive growth in this pivotal channel.
- Support the Senior Marketing Manager and working closely with the Marketing Officers to manage, deliver and develop the other channels in the extensive activation portfolio such as inserts, door drop and integrated media and creative campaigns, taking particular responsibility for media planning, buying and analysis.
- Support the Senior Marketing Manager in the management, delivery and development of campaigns within the Brand Consideration programme. Including collaboration with a wide number of internal teams and external colleagues to create integrated creative campaigns utilising multiple channels.
- Lead media and creative agency relationships at a strategic level; including taking a lead on pitching and appointing new agencies, including contract management. Act as first point of contact for external partners where required, taking responsibility for resolving queries, trafficking all stages of projects, escalation of potential problems and performance reviews.
- Lead on creative development; contribute to the overall strategy for the Individual Giving & Engagement Team, make decisions on creative strategy, approach, copy and design, working closely with Communications Team to accurately reflect the brand.
- Develop, plan and manage complex income and expenditure budgets for a portfolio of activities, some with six figure budgets and targets; including using complex reforecasting models to provide projections for income and expenditure.
- Ensure that all communications are carried out within FRSB, DPA and Charity Commission guidelines.
About You:
- Substantial proven experience of working in a similar fundraising and/or customer marketing role managing an expenditure budget to deliver campaigns using a wide range of media.
- Proven experience of managing DRTV campaigns, working closely with media, creative and production agencies.
- A track record of developing and implementing successful direct marketing strategies working in a complex direct marketing role / team. Including experience of strategic planning and executing multi-faceted activation campaigns for both below and above the line channels.
- Proven experience of managing large volume media campaigns including media planning, buying and analysis.
- Significant project management experience including identifying new fundraising opportunities and developing a framework for implementation.
- Experience of developing and managing complex budgets, using relevant monitoring and evaluating tools.
- Ability to develop, monitor and adapt DM strategies for the implementation of fundraising channels; including advising on the direction of the overarching direct marketing programme.
- Experience of successfully developing high level relationships with senior staff and stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Experience of leading a team and line management of one or more team members.
- Excellent written and numeracy skills with attention to detail and the ability to use spreadsheets to formulate and analyse complex budgets and make informed decisions.
- Excellent negotiation skills, and communication skills including experience of presenting to internal and external stakeholders.
- A good understanding of fundraising principles.

Key Accountabilities
· To maintain and update records on Remember A Charity’s CRM database and E-Comms mailing lists for charities, legal supporters and partner organisations. To run CRM reports as required.
· To assist with the onboarding of new joiner charities and legal sector supporters.
· To use the website content management system (CMS) to build member charity and legal sector supporter online profiles; and to make any amends to these profiles and other website pages as required.
· To manage the central In-Box and respond to all enquiries or signpost to the relevant team member.
· To co-ordinate the programme of rolling annual membership renewal and new-joiner invoicing, including credit control of all invoices.
· To prepare monthly engagement report collating key activity metrics for members and legal sector supporters
· To assist with online and in person member, prospect and legal sector supporter events, including creating registration links, managing attendee information on the CRM and other events preparation and follow-up required.

The Role
The WorldGBC is seeking a dedicated Advocacy and Engagement Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is critical in shaping and advancing our global advocacy efforts, influencing policy, and supporting our network of national Green Building Councils (GBCs) in their advocacy work. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing policy positions, conducting research, and engaging with key stakeholders to promote sustainable building practices and policies worldwide. The Advocacy and Engagement Manger will report to and work closely with the Global Advocacy Director.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
● Support for the Global Advocacy Director: Work closely with the Global Advocacy Director to develop and implement WorldGBC's global advocacy strategy. Assist in coordinating the organization’s advocacy efforts across different regions, ensuring alignment with overall objectives. The Fundraising Systems & Data Analysis (FSDA) team of the Development and Outreach Department of Human Rights Watch (HRW) is seeking applicants for the position of Senior Manager, Analytics and Insight. The Senior Analytics and Insight Manager will be responsible for instilling a data-driven and data-informed culture to make evidence-based decisions, increase efficiencies, improve overall departmental return on investment (ROI), grow new fundraising streams, and achieve long-term profitability.
The Senior Analytics and Insight Manager will generate, improve, and analyze fundraising data, both quantitative and qualitative, from internal and external sources to produce strategic information that supports data-driven and informed decisions, tactics, and strategies that consistently maximize HRW fundraising results. This role will feed into both the quarterly reforecasts and annual budget data and supporting methodology and collaborating with the Finance team as needed for the Development department.
This full-time position will ideally be based in either the United States or Europe, preferably in one of the cities where HRW has an office and will report to the Managing Director of Fundraising Systems and Data Analysis based in London. The Senior Analytics and Insight Manager will manage at least one direct report.
The successful candidate may have the option to work remotely but is expected to work from the office 1-2 times a week. We aim to be as flexible and supportive as possible in both the recruitment for and onboarding of this position.
Responsibilities:
Product Management Oversight:
1. Provide strategic, tactical, and operational planning of all Business Intelligence (BI_ Systems and tools utilized by the Development Department;
2. Implement and build the BI structure of the Development Department, working closely with CRM (Salesforce) team and working with vendors as needed to understand the desired outcomes;
3. Partner with the Training & Support team to promote user adoption of BI reports by developing and implementing communication plans, training campaigns, and incentives to encourage staff engagement and utilization;
4. Ensure effective coordination and change management with Training & Support, CRM and Digital products, IT, and fundraising teams;
5. Act as the subject matter expert for all areas of fundraising reporting and respond to escalated queries and reporting discrepancies from Data Analysis Officer;
6. Develop project management processes to support the prioritization of all analysis, data selection, integration, and reporting requests, ensuring the briefing processes are understood and developing a Service Level Agreement (SLA) framework as needed; and
7. Support on Data Integrations and Application Interface Programs (APIs), including any Extract Transform and Load (ETL) processes as needed, working with the Data Quality and Integrations Officer to develop these to meet “fit-for-purpose” requirement. Support both the CRM and Digital Product Managers as needed.
Data, Analysis and Reporting:
1. Support the development and implementation of the long-term data and insight strategy for HRW which improves data quality, deepens the department’s institutional memory, and aligns with the broader HRW data strategy;
2. Develop and present actionable insights, strategic recommendations, and business intelligence from analytical output to support strategic decisions for the Development team and on investments and benchmarking activities;
3. Deliver the data and insight strategy including activity reporting, financial forecasting, specialist report development, and ad hoc analysis projects and data selections, to increase understanding of activity, supporter and financial trends and making recommendations to leadership to deliver improvements;
4. Collaborate with the Marketing Team to create data selections including recommendations on which are the best targets for direct marketing campaigns, create segments according to strategically determined criteria, data model, and develop testing plans to yield statistically significant results;
5. Work with the Fundraising Systems and Data Analysis Managing Director to build tools and reports that allow for both the forecast and budget revenue projections to be provided with ease. Create multi-year fundraising projections per main channel and audience using historical data, statistical modelling techniques, and new initiatives;
6. Collaborate with the Finance team around both the production and validation of financial reporting, including budgeting, reforecasting, and income reporting in general for the Development D Ensure that the Marketing coding / attribution processes are clearly documented and any exceptions tracked with the Revenue Operations teams;
7. Ensure that the expenditure budget for the Development Department is managed and reported on effectively, capturing the planned spending across the different teams within the department, including reporting on the actuals and investigating any variances with finance and the budget holders as needed; and
8. Ensure that the Leadership Gift data reporting can occur, through development of advanced visualizations including dashboards and ensure that hygiene initiatives are followed by supporting both the Data Quality and Integrations Officer and Relationship Manage Work with Finance on the monthly reconciliation processes.
Leadership, Training, & Support:
1. Lead improvement projects that shape the department’s effectiveness, efficiency and data-driven decision making;
2. Serve as subject matter expert to both the CRM and Digital Product Managers as they proactively assess users’ evolving system needs, priorities, capacity, and workflows, and ensure reporting needs are well articulated to inform future technology enhancements; and
3. Teach and mentor Data Analyst and Data Integrations staff to grow their capabilities within the fundraising CRM, data, and operations field.
Other:

Managerial Responsibilities:

Knowledge and experience in nonprofit fundraising and marketing, preferably in a global INGO context with country-specific fundraising operations, is highly desirable.
Related Skills and Knowledge:
1. Fluency in fundraising practices, terminology, technologies, channels, and compliance, and the ability to translate easily between fundraising end users and technology providers is required.
2. A critical thinker with the confidence to transform data and information into structured systems and reports is required.
3. Record of generating buy-in from, and exceeding expectations of, internal and external stakeholders is required.
4. Hands-on experience with data analysis, quality, cleansing, extracting, and validation (ETL) processes and tools is required.
