As a charity we can continue to help cats and kittens in need thanks to the donations we receive at fundraising events from generous members of the public. Our fundraising event helpers have the exciting and varied role of helping at local fundraising events - such as cakes sales, barn dances, quiz nights – and everything in between!

What we need from you

You’ll be:

· help set up and/or man stalls at events

· help on collection days like supermarket collections events or street collections

· help at fundraising events such as quiz nights, cake sales and dances

· promoting a professional image of Cats Protection at events

Time expectation

This role is really flexible! You could choose to volunteer at one event for a couple of hours or attend multiple fundraising events.

We’ll keep you up to date with upcoming local events where volunteers are needed. You’ll then be able to choose which events you’d like to volunteer at and how many hours you’d like to give. However much time you can give, your contribution will help raise much needed funds to continue the work of Cats Protection.

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for enthusiastic, creative and organised people from across the South West region to join our South West Festival Committee group. Our Committee group helps us to attend festivals across the region and be our NSPCC ambassadors. 

Around 90 per cent of our income comes from our supporters and we couldn’t continue doing what we do without them. That means, our community fundraising volunteers play a really important part in rallying people together to raise vital funds which help to protect children and prevent abuse.

What you’ll do:

From organising fun family friendly activities to coordinating attendance, you'll be showing that we are always here for children when they need us most. Attending festivals helps raise awareness of NSPCC and Childline services. NSPCC annually attend WOMAD in Malmesbury, Wiltshire (end of July) and are exploring future opportunities with Glastonbury and Bestival. Your role will be to support our Community Fundraising team at the festival, taking on the running of engagement activities, chatting with the public and promoting a positive image of the NSPCC.
You’ll be a valued part of one of our Volunteer Community Fundraising Teams across the UK, raising awareness and funds. We appreciate that work, family and friends come first and, with that in mind, this role offers flexibility to fit in with your lifestyle. You only need to commit to a couple of hours a month in the run up to the event, the festival period itself but if you want to do more that would be great.

What you’ll get:

We’ll support you with advice, skills and tools to help you fundraise and spread the word of the NSPCC. You'll have access to our volunteer portal offering training opportunities; knowledge and learning, discount portal and chatter function.
You’ll learn more about how you’re helping to protect children across the UK, and you’ll have the opportunity to grow your skills and inspire others to support us.
It’s also a chance to spend time with like-minded people and make new friends.

Over past decades, enormous advances have been made in our understanding of MS. Research has got us to a critical point, and we can see a future where nobody needs to worry about their MS getting worse. Our Stop MS Appeal needs to raise £100 million to find treatments for everyone with MS.

Our Stop MS Champions help us reach more people and inspire them to get involved in our Stop MS Appeal by encouraging raising funds and awareness by delivering presentations, attending events and identifying new audiences to speak to. They inspire people to engage with and influence fundraisers and groups, enthuse people and make sure our community’s voice is heard.

As our Lead Stop MS Champion, you’ll motivate your team of Stop MS Champions to help reach more people and inspire them to get involved in our Stop MS Appeal.

By using your ability to motivate and support, you will oversee and lead a team of 5-10 Stop MS Champion volunteers, encouraging them to engage the people they know to raise funds and awareness, and provide reliable information and guidance.

You’ll also network to engage with and influence fundraisers and community groups, enthusing people by delivering presentations at events and finding new audiences to speak to. In this role, as well as developing your leadership, networking, influencing, communication, organisation and presentation skills, you’ll have a chance to be part of something amazing – you could help us stop MS.

Our work began 50 years ago with inner city children from the Borough of Lewisham and since then have provided residential, woodland experiences to over 50,000 disadvantaged children and young people. 

Who do we work with? 

Groups generally come and stay for a week or weekend in our Gloucestershire woodland and enjoy being outdoors. We have experience of working with SEN schools from Gloucestershire, London, Birmingham and the West Midlands and Oxfordshire; youth clubs, including XLP (who work across many London boroughs), Harrow Club, and Masbro Club; alternative Provision Services, an education for children who can't go to a mainstream school; and, with disability charities such as Sense and Mencap.

About the role 

We are looking for a Charity lead to work part time, initially part-renumerated /part-voluntary basis.  The role will be at least 2 days per week onsite . 

Renumeration & term - Initially a 6 month contract on a part voluntary basis with the aim that this will be converted to a permanent, fully renumerated position with renumeration commensurate with experience.

Parkinson's UK local groups offer friendship, support, and numerous activities for people affected by Parkinson's.

In Winchester, the group is a core part of the local Parkinson's community. As a committee volunteer you'll help connect people to the group, whilst making sure existing members stay up to date with the activities provided. You could have a hand in arranging activities too, whether it's seated yoga, or a chance for friends and family of those living with Parkinson's to meet - and all activities are open to you too.

Across the UK, bladder sufferers are being left behind. 6% of women in England suffer with Recurrent Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs). 25% of all antibiotic prescriptions are for UTIs. Waiting times to see a Urologist stretch up to 12 months. We are a lifeline. Every day, we:

• Respond to emails and calls from people in distress, providing evidence-based guidance that cuts through fear and confusion.
• Offer practical advice and emotional support grounded in real-world experience - helping sufferers manage symptoms, understand treatment options, and regain a sense of control.
• Deliver dynamic, expert-led webinars and events that translate cutting-edge medical insight into accessible, empowering information for both sufferers and professionals.
• Drive research that keeps the patient voice at the heart of innovation - shaping future care through real stories, real data, and real need.
• Campaign tirelessly for change - working with healthcare providers, policymakers and the NHS to push bladder health up the agenda and improve standards of care.

Why This Matters Now

Bladder illness remains one of the most overlooked areas of healthcare - yet its impact is often life-altering. Pain, exhaustion, mental distress, and isolation are common. And now, troubling trends are emerging.

People are being passed from pharmacy to pharmacy, denied GP appointments, misdiagnosed or ignored. Infections recur. Antibiotic resistance grows. Clinics close. Continence support disappears. Patient choice is eroded. This isn’t just a system under strain - it’s a system leaving people behind.

At Bladder Health UK, we don’t accept that. We support individuals - and we challenge the system. We’re here to advocate, educate, and fight for better. But we can’t do it alone.

The Opportunity

We’re seeking bold, committed individuals to join our Board of Trustees and help drive our next chapter.

This is more than a governance role. It’s a chance to be part of something urgent, ambitious, and deeply needed. You’ll help shape the future of a national charity that punches far above its weight. You’ll bring your skills, insight, and passion to a team determined to make a real, tangible difference.

We welcome applicants from all sectors - private, clinical, public, or voluntary. Whether you’re an experienced trustee or completely new to the role, what matters most is your commitment to our mission.

We’re especially keen to hear from people with experience in:

• Fundraising (individual giving, trusts and foundations, or community fundraising)
• Marketing, branding, and communications
• Campaigning, influencing, or lobbying
• Medical practice – including GPs, Urologists, Urology Nurses, or Allied Health Professionals

If you can:

· Think strategically and creatively

· Communicate clearly and sensitively in large group discussions

· Use independent judgement to make decisions on behalf of the organisation

· Be committed to our mission, vision and values

· Attend four trustee meetings per year via Teams and our charity AGM in person

· Attend and assist at our annual conference

· Commit to a minimum term of two years
