Job description

The LSO Development Department raise over £3 million per year in support of the organisation’s activities both in the UK and internationally. With ambitious plans to grow income over the coming three years, we are looking to appoint a successful and self-motivated fundraising professional to the role of Trusts and Foundations Manager, to play a key role within an expanded and newly re-structured trusts and foundations team. Working closely with the Head of Strategic Funding and Trusts and Foundations Co-ordinator, the Trusts and Foundations Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing the trusts and foundations strategy, in order to generate maximum income from grant-giving organisations. The post-holder will be required to work with senior members of the LSO staff team, Development Board and Advisory Council, in order to cultivate, establish and maintain relationships with grant-giving organisations – including charitable trusts and foundations, livery companies, corporate foundations and statutory funders.

The role of Trusts and Foundations Manager will provide substantial opportunity for professional development within a world-leading cultural organisation, with opportunities to fundraise towards a diverse range of education and community activities, new music commissions, audience development initiatives, capacity building, infrastructure, and capital projects at LSO St Luke’s.

Led by Music Director Sir Simon Rattle, the LSO is one of the world’s leading orchestras, presenting over 70 concerts in London each year through its residency at the Barbican. The LSO is set apart from other international orchestras by the strength of its commitment to music education, reaching over 60,000 people annually through its award-winning education and community programme, LSO Discovery. The LSO also manages its own record label (LSO Live), leads boundary-pushing initiatives in the field of digital engagement (LSO Play), and runs its own venue and music education centre at the heart of its inner-London community (LSO St Luke’s).

Salary: £26,500 - £32,000 per annum, dependant on experience.

This role is offered on a full time, permanent basis.

For full details about the role and how to apply, please visit the LSO website.

Deadline for receipt of applications: 10:00am on Tuesday 11th February 2020. Initial interviews will be held during Monday 17th to Wednesday 19th February.
