The Job
Reporting to the Individual Giving Manager, the Supporter Care Officer role sits within the Communications, Engagement and Fundraising team. USPG is looking for someone with excellent communication skills and enthusiasm to join our small but growing fundraising team. The post holder will be the first port of call for all incoming communications and will work closely with the Individual Giving Manager to ensure that our supporters feel valued. The role is also responsible for maintaining the data and developing supporter care processes.

You are highly organised, enthusiastic and flexible with a passion for delivering an excellent supporter experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in customer service, data handling and administration. They will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with a flexible, can-do attitude. We are currently looking for a driven and pro-active Events Fundraiser to develop, coordinate and deliver the charity’s fundraising events and orchestrate experiences from initial concept to post event analysis. This includes pre-event planning and development, concept development and proposal.
Working closely with the Head of Capital Appeal and Senior Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager, you will design and deliver events which steward and develop key contacts as part of our Capital Appeal.
The role holder will have strong administration skills, attention to detail and work as part of a team. You will be self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, managing a wide range of tasks.

To date, we have generated over £120m from face-to-face fundraising third-party individual giving activity, having a huge impact for our life saving research.
As a Face-to-Face Fundraising Manager, you'll be the driving force behind delivering our ambitious fundraising targets in this area, maximising opportunities, working with a range of agencies, stakeholders and your team to deliver our outsourced face to face acquisition programme in the UK, ensuring its success day to day.

Key Responsibilities

Purpose of the Job
The role is a key part of the HFEH Mind team delivering mental health services across Hammersmith & Fulham, Ealing, and Hounslow.
The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, supporting, and retaining volunteers across the charity. You will ensure that volunteers have a positive experience, receive appropriate training and guidance, and feel valued for the time and skills they give. You will also work closely with staff to match volunteers to roles.
We currently offer three types of volunteering roles at HFEH Mind:
- Client facing support– Working alongside staff supporting service users
- Events – Supporting outreach & fundraising efforts and promoting our work
- Central Support – Blogging, graphic design, administration, etc.
General/Key Responsibilities
- Interview, recruit, onboard, and induct new volunteers in line with organisational needs, maintaining around 50-60 volunteers across the charity.
- Work with staff to identify new volunteering opportunities and develop volunteer role descriptions.
- Work effectively to ensure volunteers feel a part of HFEH Mind and gain value from their time with us.
- Develop and maintain volunteer policies, role descriptions, and procedures.
- Ensure all volunteering activity adheres to safeguarding, GDPR and health and safety policies.

- Develop and deliver engaging volunteer training, support sessions and recognition initiatives.
