Across Yorkshire, Yorkshire’s Brain Tumour Charity (YBTC) is Yorkshire and Humber’s leading

brain tumour charity. Offering practical, financial and emotional support to both adult and child

brain tumour patients, together with their families.

The Landmark Arts Centre is seeking a new Chair of Trustees to continue their journey. The independent charity responsible for operating one of the largest multidisciplinary arts venues in south-west London.

Volunteering in the shop

Mary's Living & Giving for Save the Children is unique - a vibrant result of the generous gifts of local individuals and companies being turned around by the skills and passions of volunteer teams, to create a destination retail experience. Selling womenswear, menswear, shoes, and bags to household goods, our shops can be found in the London villages and bring in vital funds for Save the Children.

Our Fulham Shop Volunteers are in the middle of it all, and there’s plenty to get involved with. You might be sorting and pricing stock, engaging with customers, ringing items through the till, creating fantastic window displays or keeping our shop floor looking organised.

It’s up to you how much you commit. We have volunteers who support for a couple of hours a week and some do more. Many people volunteer either a morning or an afternoon each week - this is something that will be discussed at the selection stage, after you’ve applied.

The Howard of Effingham School Friends (PTA) - Treasurer

The Howard of Effingham School Friends exists to foster good relationships between parents and staff; to raise funds for the purchase of extra items of equipment; to provide services for pupils and to organise social functions.  The committee of parents and teachers arranges a wide range of social and fund-raising activities.  All parents are warmly invited to join in on every possible occasion.

Main purpose of the role

The treasurer controls the Friends funds in line with the committee’s decisions as well as charity law. They make sure upcoming events are affordable and profitable and report financial information to the rest of the team.

About the CARAS ESOL Team:

Our award-winning ESOL project offers English language classes to adults at a wide range of levels. This provides vital skills, opportunities and social contact and is crucial for enabling people to attend college and access other services in the future.

About the Role:

CARAS is looking for volunteer ESOL Teaching Assistants to support our face-to-face adult ESOL classes in Tooting. Volunteers in this role are required to commit to at least one 2-hour session every Wednesday during these times: 

• Mondays ESOL 9:30 to 13:30

• Tuesday 9:30 to 11:30

• Tuesday One-to-one employability and language learning support 15:00 to 17:00 

Please note that ESOL classes do not run during school holidays, and we follow Wandsworth Council term dates.

• Providing learners with one-to-one or small group support within ESOL classes; 

• Helping to set up the classroom and provide learners with classroom resources;

About the Role: 

• CARAS is looking for Reading Group Volunteer to support our face-to-face study programme for young people.
• The reading group is in Tooting and is an important element of a study programme for young people aged 14 to 18 who are out of formal education.
• Students will be supported to read at length and complete challenges that are adapted to their ability level.
• The reading group aims to foster independence and a joy of reading among the young people and requires volunteers to learn about the young peoples' interests in order to help them select an appropriate text.
• The ESOL teacher will provide volunteers with tips to support reading and understanding for emerging learners of English, such as phonics and elicitation strategies.
• Volunteers will work with 1-5 students, mostly reading out loud with them or helping them to decode unfamiliar language.
• Please note that ESOL classes do not run during school holidays, and we follow Wandsworth Council term dates. 

Volunteer tasks and responsibilities:

Role Overview

As a Charity Liaison Officer volunteer, you'll be at the heart of our mission to bridge the gap between donors and those in need. This purpose-driven role focuses on establishing and nurturing partnerships with charitable organisations across the UK, enabling more vulnerable individuals to receive direct support through our platform.

This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference while gaining valuable experience in the charity tech sector. Key Responsibilities

Talitha Arts is seeking volunteers to join the organisation as Trustees. We currently have seven Trustees, with backgrounds encompassing human resources, finance, creative arts, coaching, leadership and small charity management. Duties

Responsibilities

•  Where professional assistance is required for the Trustees to be able to make the most appropriate decision affecting the charity, that assistance should be sought and considered carefully.

•  Trustees must not receive any financial or non-financial benefit that is not explicitly authorised by the governing document. Trustees should not exert any influence to garner any preferential treatment for themselves or their family.

 •  Trustees are jointly and severally liable for their decisions; therefore decisions should be taken together and communicated to staff, stakeholders and funders in a unified manner.

•  Trustees are accountable to stakeholders for their actions and as such decision-making and governance issues should be as transparent as possible, except for when confidentiality is required.

•  Trustees should be prepared to spend an appropriate amount of time reading papers and preparing for board meetings, which will be held on a quarterly basis. A minimum attendance of 75% meetings is required of Trustees to ensure that best practice in governance is reached and maintained.

•  Should a Trustee feel that they require further guidance or training in their role, they have a duty to inform the charity secretary and actively develop aspects for new training on an individual or group basis.

•  Any information of a confidential nature must remain so outside the confines of the Trustee meeting.

Our Story

Talitha Arts was founded by actor, Amanda Root. It began as a small volunteer organisation, primarily offering mental health support by facilitating arts workshops for International Justice Mission in India and working with professionals in aftercare homes for girls rescued from trafficking and violent abuse.

Over the years, our work has expanded to respond to the needs of U.K. organisations working directly with those who have experienced trauma, abuse, violence, homelessness; ex-offenders, refugees, children, and those who are living with dementia.

Every year as part of our mandate, we train new practitioners in the Talitha Approach to deliver our workshops. Our approach is 'person-centred', meaning it is tailored to the individuals we serve. Our practitioners are both professional creative artists and registered therapists who are passionate about the Talitha Mission.

Your Role as Volunteer Graphic Designer

In this exciting volunteer position, you’ll be the creative force behind our visual identity, producing designs that capture the essence of our cause. You will collaborate closely with our team to craft impactful graphics that promote our brand and tell our story across various platforms. You can volunteer as a one off or help us on a regular basis if you prefer.

Key design projects include:

• Roller Banners: Create striking, large-scale designs for use at events and public spaces that instantly communicate our mission and who we are.

• A5 Booklets: Develop engaging, informative booklets that introduce SUNSHINE, outline our vision, and invite community support.

• Social Media Posts: Produce dynamic, shareable content that drives online engagement and spreads our message far and wide.

• Motion Graphics: Design lively animations that bring our story to life, perfect for digital campaigns and event promotions.

• Concept Images: Craft creative visuals for our events or office spaces that embody the warmth and ethos of our charity.

• Posters: Design eye-catching posters to promote our fundraisers, community initiatives, and volunteer opportunities.

Children With Voices is a grassroots community charity based in Hackney,

committed to supporting young people and families through initiatives that promote

mental health, well-being, food sustainability, and youth empowerment. Through

Role Overview:

We are looking for a passionate and creative Volunteer

Photographer/Videographer to help us capture engaging photo and video content

across our community projects. This role is ideal for someone looking to build their

portfolio, gain experience in the charity sector, and contribute to meaningful causes.

You'll work closely with our Social Media Manager and be an essential part of how we tell our story to the public.

Key Responsibilities:

Attend and photograph/video activities at our Food Hub on Thursdays

Capture content during Jumping Beans and other community events

Collaborate with the Social Media Manager to plan, produce, and edit

engaging visual content

Support the creation of digital assets (short videos, reels, photos, behind-the-

scenes clips, etc.)

Organise and file digital content for use across platforms

Respect the privacy and safeguarding needs of children and families

Represent the charity in a professional and compassionate manner

Time Commitment

Mondays: Office-based (between 11am–4pm, hours flexible) to work

alongside our Social Media Manager

Thursdays: On-site at the Food Hub (between 12pm–2pm, flexible)

Additional remote editing/content creation hours based on your availability

Flexibility offered around academic or work commitments

Person Specification:

Essential:

Access to your own camera or video equipment

Some experience in photography and/or videography (personal or

professional)

Strong visual storytelling skills and creative flair

Basic editing skills (e.g., using Canva, Adobe Premiere, iMovie, or similar)

Good interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively

Respect for confidentiality and safeguarding protocols

Desirable:

Experience working with community organisations or in event settings

Interest in youth empowerment, food justice, or social impact

Familiarity with social media trends (e.g., Instagram Reels, TikTok)

SheCanDo is a women empowerment organization focused on breaking gender biases, promoting gender equality, and fostering workplace inclusion.

Across Nigeria and beyond, women and girls continue to face systemic barriers that limit their access to leadership, innovation, and economic opportunities. Application Summary: Are you skilled at writing, researching, and telling powerful stories? Join SheCanDo' s Fundraising & Partnerships Team as a Grants Writer & Researcher. Help us discover and secure funding opportunities that will drive our mission forward and impact thousands of girls across Africa. Role Description: As the Grants Writer & Researcher, you will: Research new grant opportunities and keep a running database. Draft and submit grant proposals aligned with SheCanDo’s mission. Track deadlines and ensure compliance with funder requirements. Work closely with the Fundraising Lead to align grant goals with organizational priorities. Qualifications & Skills: Strong writing, editing, and research skills. Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage deadlines. Experience in grant writing is a plus but not required. Weekly Commitment: 4–6 hours per week (flexible schedule, remote role)
