Job description

A dynamic individual with a flair for developing compelling funding applications is sought to help Age UK Wiltshire increase its social impact and provide support to even more vulnerable older people now and in the future.

We're looking for someone who is able to spot and seize new opportunities to maximize income, and likes to work collaboratively with colleagues as part of an experienced management team.

In addition to developing bids, applications and proposals we are looking at refreshing our fundraising strategy and introducing new focus on ‘in memory’ and ‘legacy’ support from our beneficiaries.

The primary purpose of the role is to: 

  • To generate income to support Age UK Wiltshire to achieve its strategic goals of increasing social impact and improving financial sustainability. This income will predominantly come from grant making bodies, trusts, foundations, and individual donors.
  • To develop compelling proposals, bids, and applications, nurture new and existing relationships with supporters, contributing to the delivery of a new fundraising strategy.

The role will require excellent communication skills; written, verbal and presentation.  You will need to produce high quality fundraising applications based on good research and discussion with colleagues.  You will take a collaborative approach to developing and maintaining effective relationships, internally and externally.  This collaborative approach will support the emergance of a robust fundraising plan at Age UK Wiltshire.

You will be based mainly at home but could also work out of our offices in Devizes, Salisbury or Swindon.
