Job description
This organisation supports anonymous recruitment. That means hiding your personal identifying information, removing bias from the hiring process.

Friends of the Friarage are looking for a confident and engaging Fundraising and Events Officer to support our ambitious programme of fundraising over the next two years for the Friarage Hospital.

You will have demonstrable experience of delivering and exceeding fundraising targets across a variety of income streams, organising large scale events and working with supporters to enable them to achieve their fundraising goals.

This varied role will give you the opportunity to continue to develop and maximise your fundraising skills while raising money in support of the local hospital.

You will have great communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to motivate and inspire people. You will lead on raising the profile of the Friends of the Friarage and promoting fundraising opportunities to individuals, community groups, schools and businesses.

A full UK driving licence is required and access to own vehicle, insured for business use.  Working hours include weekends and evenings so flexibility is required. A DBS check will be required.

About us

Since our inception we have been raising funds to benefit the patients and staff of the Friarage Hospital in Northallerton.  In the last year alone, we’ve allocated over £900,000 to a number of services.  The enthusiasm and efforts of our amazing supporters have helped us raise over £5million in the last sixty years.  You’ll be working with an enthusiastic group of trustees, our administrator and hospital shop team as well as with the wider Communications Team across the Trust.
