In this role you’ll be able to develop your organisation, communication and team working skills.Most importantly you’ll inspire your local community to raise funds that help make sure no one has to face MS alone.

Time Commitment

We estimate this role will need around 2 hours a week. Our roles are flexible and aim to fit around you. Time commitments for this role may vary depending on your activities. This is an ongoing role.

This is a great opportunity to gain experience within a large charity and develop your existing skills and learn new ones. We need you to get involved and help make positive changes to the lives of people affected by MS.

PINT (People In Need Today)

We create awareness for people experiencing homelessness through media, publicity and projects.

We aim to create awareness for those in need via promotion of our work to the homeless and those in need through media and publicity. The aim is to show the majority that what they see and hear is an actual myth of what they see and believe homelessness is. We also highlight the fact that so much is wasted that can go to help other especially people in need around the globe.

PINT aims to highlight that awareness can be created by team work showing the world that so much gets wasted daily which can be contributed towards many that are suffering without on a daily basis. Our project has been in existence for 15 years now in that time we have grown from feeding tans supporting those in need in the community to covering a number of areas in London and the United Kingdom.

Fundraising is something we have lacked and this year we are looking for that individual who can help us achieve our goals. Your role will be flexible working from home and your own boss. We are looking for a dynamic and innovative fundraising specialist individual with drive and passion that aligns with the purpose of The Iolanthe Midwifery Trust to join our Board of Trustees. As a proven fundraising specialist, you will work in collaboration with the Board of Trustees, The Executive Director and the Philanthropy Officer as we roll out our fundraising strategy.The Fundraising Trustee will sit on the Board as well as The Finance and Fundraising sub committees.

Iolanthe has an endowment fund which provides some of the income needed each year to fund awards. As part of our 3 year strategy we will  diversity our income streams and focus on the following areas

• Individual

• Legacies

• Philanthropy/Corporates

We have recently appointed a Philanthropy Officer who is working to roll out our fundraising strategy and have a legacy consultant working with us to develop this area further.

Key responsibilities for fundraising lead trustee

• Oversight of Fundraising Strategy

• Digital fundraising

• Support with dealing with Donors

• Support with Fundraising Events/Event Management

• Identification and support with HNW/Philanthropic Fundraising

Meetings: 

The Board meets three times a year in March, June and October.  All but 1 meeting (October combined AGM/Board meeting/Award event) are  held remotely.  Meetings generally last no longer than 2 hours and with the exception of the October meetings are held on a weekday evening.

The Finance sub committee meets remotely 3 times a year approximately 10 days ahead of the Board meetings.

The Fundraising sub committee will meet remotely and feed through to the main Board meetings.

Fundraising trustee - this is what we need from you

Proven experience of executing successful fundraising campaigns, who can provide support with the following key areas:

• Strategy development: Working with the Board of Trustees, Executive Director and Philanthropy Officer to help shape an effective fundraising strategy, fostering long-term sustainability and growth in line with our values

• Strategy execution: Support as necessary the process of fund identification 

• Partnership Development: Targeted and strategic identification of partnerships to advance our goals and support to manage key stakeholders

Period Reality

We fight for gender equity through system-level change by educating about and advocating for living in sync with your cycle.

Period Reality aims to address period related issues and stories by sharing the real life stories from girls and women globally. Although half the population experiences a menstrual cycle, the stark contrast in the different realities of girls and women is very real and through storytelling we aim to educate and provide relatable content.

Through sharing stories from girls and women focused on their common humanities. Even though our realities might be very different depending on many factors (physical, geographical, socio-economical, mental etc.) we all share a lot of the same questions, worries, dreams, anxieties, ambitious etc. Making these stories relatable and accessible will educate and inspire and create a movement of girls and women being able to first and foremost understand their own cycle, in order to be kind to themselves.

In this role, you’ll: Support our Fundraising Team with a service-minded approach. Map and pursue funding opportunities across grants, corporate giving, and individual donors. Support the preparation of grant applications, donor decks, and fundraising campaigns. Manage relationships with partners and funders. Keep efforts coordinated and consistent across all income streams.

This is an opportunity to build real-world fundraising experience while contributing to creating long-lasting change in gender equity and women's health.

Fundraising Events Organiser Volunteer

Would you like to be part of a dedicated and friendly team of volunteers and make a real difference to the lives of cats and kittens in our care?  Do you enjoy planning and organising for events?  Maybe you have a particular skill that you would like to put to use?
 
Then this could be the role for you! 
 
Our Fundraising Events Team are at the heart of what we do, raising essential funds for the cats. 

Our Fundraising Events Organisers share ideas, tasks and inspiration, planning and delivering local events, with the support of the Fundraising events helpers, such as Open Days (usually 2 per year) at the centre and our annual Christmas Bazaar. 

Time Expectation:  This role can be varied and time commitment can be flexible. 

Without volunteers, Cats Protection Berkshire Cat Centre simply wouldn't exist. Our amazing, friendly volunteers are a diverse group with a shared love of cats who fit volunteering around their home lives and personal commitments.

We're often looking to welcome new volunteers to join our brilliant team. As well as meeting great people and making an incredible difference to the cats of Berkshire.

Please note:  Although we do welcome everyone, unfortunately our centre is not set up to accommodate young volunteers under the age of 18, including those on the Duke of Edinburgh programme.

Our Fundraising Event Helpers have the exciting and varied role of helping at local fundraising events - such as cakes sales, barn dances, quiz nights – and everything in between!

● Help set up and/or man stalls at events

● Help on collection days like supermarket collections events or street collections

● Help at fundraising events such as Quiz nights, cake sales and dances

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, fast learning Midlands & Wales intern to join our growing team at Human Appeal; helping us with admin tasks, recruitment of volunteers for events and online fundraising campaigns, research for various upcoming events and help with general tasks.

Main tasks include: 

• Administrative tasks such as collating data, contacting signups for various challenges, deployments and events. 

• Assist with administrational tasks relating to fundraising

• Research venues, catering and other fundraising related tasks for upcoming events 

• May be asked to go to occasional events dependent on location

• This is a flexible role. The amount of time you offer can work to your availability and convenience.
• There may be opportunities for your activities to be fully remote and/or admin based if you'd prefer.
• You will need your own transport if you wish to attend events, ideally a car or van since items, stock and equipment will usually be needed.
• We ask that you complete training to support you in your role. This can be completed online if you have access to the internet and the necessary device (computer/laptop/tablet etc). Support can be offered or paper versions of much of the training if needed.
