Job Title: Lettings Officer (Internally this role is known as Coach (Landlord Liaison)

About the role

As Landlord Liaison Coach, you will join our team in Birmingham at an exciting time, delivering an outstanding property procurement service across the private and social rented sector. Working alongside our team of lead worker coaches you will identify appropriate matches of tenants and homes. In addition, you will be managing your own caseload of homeless members and providing advice, guidance and advocacy. It’s a role requiring commercial acumen and creativity as you partner with both social and private landlords to source accommodation for our members. You will work collaboratively with partners and staff across the organisation to ensure tenants receive the support they need to sustain their homes and landlord relationships are nurtured. There is scope for development of the role and plenty of support. It’s a fantastic opportunity to make the role your own and shape it from the beginning.

About you

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following skills, experience and knowledge:

• Experience of sourcing, procuring, and allocating accommodation and making tenancies work for tenants and landlords
• Knowledge of the Birmingham (and surrounding areas) housing market and the barriers and opportunities faced by people who are homeless
• Experience of working with homeless people and supporting them achieve a positive housing outcome
• Understanding of housing law
• Developing, building, and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders
• Experience of working in a lettings and housing procurement environment
• Managing a caseload of homeless people and working towards case management standards
• Showing resilience when dealing with difficult situations
• A self-starter who can work on their own initiative

Role description:

parkrun is looking for a Data Protection Officer to ensure that parkrun processes personal data in a lawful, transparent and secure manner and maintains compliance with applicable data protection laws across the global parkrun movement.

Reporting to the Global Head of Legal and Governance, this role will be responsible for establishing, monitoring and maintaining effective and compliant data protection processes and promoting good practices across the parkrun global movement. The role will sit within a small Legal and Governance team and provide day-to-day assistance and practical, solution-focused advice across the organisation. 

The Data Protection Officer will act independently in carrying out their statutory responsibilities under applicable data protection laws, including the UK GDPR, and will play a key role in embedding a strong culture of data protection and responsible data use across parkrun’s global operations.

A key focus of the role will be working collaboratively with teams across the organisation to build understanding of data protection requirements, deliver effective training and guidance, and support colleagues to take a practical and pragmatic approach to managing data protection risks in their work.

This is an exciting role that would suit an experienced data protection professional with excellent communication skills who enjoys a varied portfolio of work and is passionate about working for a health and wellbeing charity that is making a meaningful impact in communities across the globe.

Main responsibilities:

The Data Protection Officer will support data protection and privacy compliance across the parkrun global movement, including responsibility for the following:

• Acting as parkrun’s Data Protection Officer under applicable data protection legislation, advising the organisation on its legal obligations and monitoring compliance with relevant data protection laws and principles

• Developing, reviewing and maintaining data protection policies, procedures and guidelines for the parkrun global movement

• Monitoring the organisation’s compliance with data protection laws, including the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018, and providing quarterly reports to the Board Governance and Risk Sub-Committee

• Supporting teams in carrying out Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and embedding privacy into projects, partnerships and new initiatives

• Developing and maintaining key compliance documentation including a Record of Processing Activities (ROPA)

• Leading the Data Governance Group and developing/progressing the organisation’s Data Protection Action Plan

• Advising on international data transfers and cross-border data protection considerations across the parkrun global movement

• Supporting the organisation’s data incident and personal data breach response processes, including assessing notification requirements where relevant 

• Acting as a key contact point for supervisory authorities, including the UK Information Commissioner’s Officer (ICO), and supporting responses to regulatory enquiries where required

• Developing and delivering data protection training and guidance to teams across the global organisation

• Supporting the Global Head of Legal and Governance in driving the development and continuous improvement of the Legal and Governance function at parkrun

Essential experience requirements:

• Significant professional experience in data protection, privacy compliance or information governance roles (typically at least 5 years’ experience)

• Strong working knowledge of UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and core data protection principles

• Experience developing, implementing and maintaining practical data protection policies, procedures and governance frameworks

• Experience working collaboratively with teams across an organisation to embed good data protection practices and support compliant decision-making

• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex data protection principles clearly and effectively to a wide range of audiences, including senior stakeholders and non-specialists

• Experience designing and delivering data protection training and guidance, and supporting teams to understand and apply data protection requirements in their day-to-day work

The Head of Programme will lead and oversee delivery of this large-scale, multi-partner strategic lottery programme, ensuring delivery through funded partners is aligned to the programme’s mission, vision and values, while maintaining strong programme management, compliance and delivery of agreed outcomes.

We are looking for an exceptional individual who can work with and motivate volunteers, take a strategic view on issues affecting the Hertfordshire countryside and represent CPRE Hertfordshire at events and through media. The role also involves management of a small staff team, the oversight of our Governance including finances, reporting, budget, fundraising, communications and volunteer management.

This is an exciting time to join CPRE Hertfordshire, as the candidate will be able to build and influence the new long-term strategy and annual plan with our Board of Trustees in advance of 2027.

The Chief Executive is responsible for:

1. Contributing to and driving the implementation of CPRE Hertfordshire’s strategy.

2. Delivering effective and efficient operational performance of the charity including robust contingency arrangements.

3. Providing exceptional leadership and management of the team – both paid staff and volunteers – and further growing our volunteer cadre.

4. Delivering the marketing and communications strategy, including membership acquisition and retention communications, email and social media marketing.

5. Leading and managing local Branch campaigns and projects as agreed by the Board of Trustees. 

6. Devising and overseeing activities to increase recruitment of new CPRE members.

The Role

The Research Policy and Partnerships Officer monitors UK research policy and governance developments, synthesises evidence and supports preparation of clear internal briefings, policy statements and consultation responses.

Reporting to the Research Policy and Partnerships Manager, the role helps ensure the Association’s research portfolio and the Research Academy remain well aligned to national frameworks and governance standards, and that lived experience is appropriately reflected in system facing outputs.

The role also supports the Research Policy and Partnerships Manager in building and maintain partnerships with research funders, medical research charities, academic institutions and health system leaders.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Conduct structured horizon scanning across NIHR, UKRI, REF, AMRC guidance and other charity funders to identify opportunities.
• Maintain a stakeholder and policy activity map; coordinate inputs for meetings with key partners, funders/sector bodies.
• Collate and integrate lived experience evidence in policy work (with Involvement colleagues).
• Support partnerships with research funders, medical research charities, academic institutions and health system leaders, coordinating meetings, shared resources and monitoring commitments and agreements

• Be educated to degree level in a science, health, social science or related discipline
• Have experience of collaborative working with senior internal and external stakeholders, supporting partnership building in research, clinical and/or voluntary sectors

About the role

As our WaterAid UK Head of Legal & Compliance, you will lead the Legal, Data Protection and Fundraising Compliance team in providing advice, support and challenge to ensure WaterAid complies with all applicable regulations and legislation

and follows best practise. You will work closely with Trustees and Directors Team to drive sustainable change.

In this role, you will:

• Provide sound legal support and specialist advice to all levels of the organisation for contracts between WaterAid UK and third parties (including commercial contracts, contracts for services including consultancy contracts, fundraising contracts, donor/grant agreements and agreements with implementing partners, as well as media Intellectual Property and IT agreements).
• Prepare, negotiate and advise on commercial and legal matters relating to complex matters.
• Support the organisation to review contracts, to recognise and respond to risk, especially in relation to restricted income funding contracts.
• Lead and manage the main point of contact for all legal queries across WaterAid, referring to external advice only when necessary.
• Champion WaterAid’s commitment to equity, inclusion and safeguarding.

Requirements

To be successful, you will need:

• A qualified solicitor (English law) with significate post-qualification experience.
• A combination of commercial and contract law and practice experience. Legal experience gained in–house and private practice environment, including in international organisations, the charity sector experience is preferred but not essential.
• Proactive approach to identifying legal risks and providing pragmatic and balanced solutions, manage expectations; maintain confidentiality at all times and display high ethical standards.
• Ability to build credibility quickly and communicate effectively across different cultures and business needs with good written communication skills, able to convey information clearly and accurately.

As part of our annual leave policy, all employees receive three additional days of annual leave on top of their standard allocation of 25 days. These days are designated to cover the period when our UK office closes between Christmas and New Year, allowing all UK WaterAiders to take a well-deserved break.

These days are automatically scheduled and cannot be changed or moved. Annual leave is accrued based on your start date. If sufficient leave has not been accrued by the time of the closure, the 3 days will be taken as unpaid leave or pro-rated, depending on your circumstances.

You’ll support communication with stakeholders by preparing briefings, presentations and materials, and help ensure project data is accurate and up to date. You’ll also contribute to maintaining good programme governance, document control and benefit tracking, helping teams stay organised and on track. We’re looking for someone with strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail and experience supporting programmes or projects, who is confident using tools such as Microsoft Office and project tracking systems.

We are recruiting to a brand-new role and are looking for an experienced, community-focused Programme Manager (Place) to lead Salford CVS’s Pride in Place activity in Pendleton and Peel Green. This is a key role focused on ensuring that strong, representative community voice, clear governance, and meaningful VCSE sector involvement are embedded from the outset.

Pride in Place is a national ten-year programme that places Neighbourhood Boards at the heart of local decision-making, with local authorities acting as the accountable body and communities expected to shape priorities and hold partners to account. In this model, Local Infrastructure Organisations (LIOs) like Salford CVS play an important enabling role - helping to connect local authorities with VCSE organisations, strengthening engagement, and ensuring a diverse range of community voices can participate fully.

As Programme Manager (Place), you will coordinate our work to support high-quality governance, inclusive engagement and strong local insight across both neighbourhoods.

A core part of your work will be ensuring that Pride in Place Neighbourhood Boards in Pendleton and Peel Green benefit from authentic, representative and evidence-driven community input. This includes leading the development of a community research programme, working in close partnership with VCSE organisations already active on the ground. Through these organisations, who often have trusted relationships with residents, established local networks and specialist knowledge of particular communities, you will lead on approaches that reach a wide range of voices, including those who are seldom heard. You will oversee our Trusted Voices and community researcher model, ensuring local people are recruited, supported and empowered to gather high-quality insight that reflects the diversity of each neighbourhood. The Programme Manager (Place) will bring clarity, organisation and coordination to this work. Role Purpose:

The Policy and Advocacy team within Womankind influences a transformative, feminist agenda for change in solidarity with movement partners and allies. This role reports to the UK and Global Policy and Advocacy Manager.

This is a full-time UK based role that supports the policy and advocacy team’s efforts from a decolonial feminist lens, in line with Womankind’s 2030 strategy and the Influencing Sub-Strategy. Reporting to the Movement Strengthening and Feminist Funding Policy & Advocacy Manager, the role will engage in Policy and Advocacy operational and management support, contribute to advocacy learning and exchange, knowledge production, coordination of MEL-related outputs, and represent Womankind internally and externally vis-à-vis its advocacy objectives.

Areas of responsibility:

1.Policy and Advocacy Operational and Management Support

• Assists the Policy and Advocacy team to respond to the needs and opportunities in the WRO and feminist movement and feminist funding ecosystem context. Creative Land Trust secures permanent affordable workspace in London for artists and creatives. We connect property developers, government authorities and studio providers forging valuable new collaborations, facilitating placemaking and actively participating in the development of policy in both the property and arts sectors.

Founded by the Mayor of London with expertise from Outset Contemporary Art Fund, and additional funding from Arts Council England and Bloomberg Philanthropies, we use our extensive knowledge of how the property and arts sectors interact to provide a way for donors, developers and investors to contribute to arts and culture at a systemic, infrastructure level.

We measure our impact in terms of community interaction, social benefit, wellbeing and employment; engaging expert studio providers for day-to-day management.

We are actively seeking funding from new donors and long-term partnerships with property owners that will lead to more stable space for arts and culture, improving the opportunities for creative practises to thrive and for communities to become more connected. In return we contribute to place making and community cohesion.

We are a small team with big ambitions seeking an experienced and motivated finance director who will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer and other members of the team to ensure that the Creative Land Trust works efficiently and effectively, making the best use of all its assets. The post holder will manage and have responsibility for the oversight of financial systems, reporting and analysis, as well as acting as Company Secretary and leading the delivery of good governance. This is a senior role and the post holder will have influence at trustee and team levels.
