AmplifyChange has an exciting job opportunity for a Grants Officer to join our dynamic team of dedicated sexual and reproductive health and rights specialists.

The Grants Officer provides support to the Grants Support Team and Grants Operations Manager across a portfolio of grants, ensuring grants move efficiently and in a timely manner through the grant management cycle. The Grants Officer will be trained to become an advanced user of our online Grants Management System Fluxx and will guide and support users who are less conversant with the system. The Grants Officers also support international business travel logistics. 

Fluency in French is essential for this role due to AmplifyChange operating as a bilingual fund. The postholder will support our grantees, who are based across Africa, South Asia and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

The role is a Bath-based position and will work closely with team members in the

UK and overseas, including our Grants Support Team, Finance and Grants Compliance Team. The Grant Officer reports to the Grants Operations Manager. 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES    

1.  Using our online Grants Management System Fluxx, oversee a portfolio of grants through a grant implementation process from grant set up through to grant closure, ensuring compliance with internal procedures 

2.   Act as the operational focal person for grantees and provide support throughout the grant cycle on contractual,  operational and reporting matters, drawing on and coordinating expertise from the Grants Managers and Grants Compliance Team 

3.   Provide support in the preparation and implementation of new grant calls, and support the selection and Due Diligence process when necessary, responding to all applicants whether successful or unsuccessful 

4.  Regularly monitor the completion of pre-contracting conditions by grantees, and obtain appropriate sign-off internally 

5.  Coordinate, draft and issue Grant Agreements and Addendums using our online system 

6.  Provide regular and up-to-date information to operational management by tracking and monitoring grants, and sharing best practice and lessons learned across the portfolio of grants with other staff members and stakeholders 

7.  Track grantee reporting deadlines, supporting timely report submission by grantees 

8.   Monitor grantee disbursements in collaboration with the Finance and Grants Compliance teams

9.   Support team members, grantees and external consultants to be confident users of the grant management system 

10.  Contribute to the further development of our business processes and the grant management system, by sharing feedback and suggestions with relevant colleagues

11.   Respond to queries from grantees and third-party stakeholders via email

12.   Provide support to our online grantee community in the Circle platform, including technical assistance for online courses and webinars in English and French, moderating discussions, and engaging with platform content.

WORKING ARRANGEMENTS 

This is a UK based, full time (37.5 hours/week) permanent position, reporting to the Grants and Operations Manager. AmplifyChange is based in Bath, and we operate a hybrid working model which would include coming to the office at least once a week. Unfortunately, we are unable to support visa sponsorship for this role and can only accept applications from those with proof of the right to work in the UK. Requests for flexible working arrangements will be considered. International and national travel will be required.

Basic salary range:        £28,000 – £32,000 per year

We are looking to recruit a Grants and Foundations Officer to join Caritas Salford’s fundraising team. You will be part of a team that is passionate about tackling poverty and inequality, where your work will have a real and visible impact. Your focus will be on maintaining and growing income from charitable trusts and statutory agencies.

As a Grants and Foundations Officer, you will work closely with senior managers and service managers, researching potential funders, securing funding from trusts, foundations and other potential funding partners. As well as building and stewarding lasting relationships that will help sustain and grow Caritas’ mission. We will support your development, helping you grow your fundraising skills, take on complex projects and help shape bids for commissioned services.

You will have excellent interpersonal skills, strong research and analytical expertise, be highly organised and confident in using IT systems and digital tools for research, communication and data management. Additionally, you will have the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with a range of stakeholders, plus a willingness to learn from others about fundraising and social impact.

The Finance Officer will be a new role for The Christie Charity (Charity) and a fantastic opportunity for an individual looking to work for a fast moving, growing organisation. - The financial management of the Charity’s funds and individually funded projects; and

Financial management

In relation to the financial management of the Charity’s funds, you will support the Finance and Funds Business Partner in ensuring designated named funds comply with governance requirements and are utilised in accordance with their Terms of Reference. In relation to the financial management of individually funded projects, you will support the Finance and Funds Business Partner in monitoring spend against budgets through accountability mechanisms agreed with The Christie NHS Foundation Trust finance team.

Financial control and administration

You will play a key role in ensuring robust financial control across the Charity group. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for tasks such as ensuring timely and accurate reconciliations are completed and addressing any variances or discrepancies as part of month-end processes or preparing month-end management accounts for review by the Head of Finance. You will be supporting the Charity’s aim of maintaining strong governance across both charitable and commercial operations.

Additional information

The Finance Officer is a newly created role that marks an exciting step in the Charity’s transition toward greater in-house financial management. Previously managed under a service level agreement with The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, key aspects of financial management are now being brought into the organisation to strengthen control and governance.

Day-to-day financial transaction processing will continue to be delivered by The Christie NHS Foundation Trust during the initial months of the role, therefore, the postholder will be expected to work closely and collaboratively with their finance team to ensure seamless operations and continuity across the Charity group. These are anticipated to transfer to the Charity group with the postholder taking on a subset of these responsibilities within the first year in post.

This post would suit an individual who enjoys working in a dynamic, evolving environment, where responsibilities may shift in response to organisational priorities. The postholder must be comfortable navigating ambiguity, demonstrating flexibility, initiative, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

The majority of our support funds innovation and research into eye health, and we have an emphasis on building capacity and developing the careers of researchers and clinicians.

About the role

• You will also have research experience in an academic or clinical setting and an understanding of research funding processes in a grant-making charity.
• You will be an excellent communicator, able to build confident working relationships at all levels. An ability to network and liaise with scientific, clinical and research communities will be key to your success in this role.

About the Job 

Sophie Hayes Foundation (SHF) is a small but mighty charity, empowering women survivors of modern slavery and exploitation. It is an important time at SHF. Our new strategy ‘Sustainable Freedom from Modern Slavery’ launched in 2024 and this role is essential for the delivery of the strategy and ensuring that survivors of modern slavery, human trafficking, and exploitation have access to the support and opportunities they need to achieve their aspirations, independence and a positive future. With soaring numbers of referral to the NRM and thousands more victims living in fear of a hostile environment, this has never been more important than now. 

At the heart of Sophie Hayes Foundation’s work will be the support to and empowerment of survivors of modern slavery and human trafficking and this role is critical to survivors’ journeys to sustainable freedom. We are increasingly aware of the precarity faced by survivors, especially during transitions moving on from support and at points of decision making from the NRM or Home Office. 

Alongside a small, friendly and dedicated team, you will build pathways of support for a range of participants who are supported by SHF through connecting them to other community organisations. Your role will include assisting them to access safe accommodation, community support, mental health support and access to finances. 

You will champion the voices of survivors through the work of the organisation, working with colleagues in CREW, our survivor network, to provide continued support to survivors’ long term.

About the Role

• Conducting initial welcome calls to participants to assess their needs and desired pathway into SHF
• Host Monthly 121 Check-ins with participants who don’t have support workers and during those sessions signpost to long-term support to widen their community support. Writing support letters when needed
• Actively engage with local, regional, and national partners and anti-slavery networks to build and maintain partnerships for survivor referral pathways to other organisations
• Work alongside the CREW Co-ordinator to run events which foster connection within our CREW network, such as a monthly coffee morning
• Support in the facilitation of in-person sessions whether CREW or part of the Programme delivery. 
• Support in the facilitation of Programmes and CREW events 
• Ensure highest levels of Safeguarding, compiling safety plans for participants and carrying out risk assessments where necessary. 
• Accurate data input to and management of internal monitoring and finance systems, working closely with the Head of Programmes to analyse trends and contribute to reporting. 
• Contribute to centring survivor perspectives in the work of Sophie Hayes Foundation by sharing and channelling learning from programme delivery to colleagues.

This role is responsible for delivery of tasks to support our research and advocacy efforts around corruption in the defence and security sector, including quality control of data, liaison with expert researchers, and consolidation of research inputs.

The role contributes both practically and intellectually to the successful delivery of high-end research and advocacy with a focus on effecting change.

The Research Officer will report to Head of Research and perform this within the (Defence and Security Programme).

Main responsibilities

• Contribute to the delivery of TI-DS’s research agenda by undertaking qualitative and mixed-methods research projects under the guidance of the Head of Research
• Produce and facilitate literature reviews, synthesis studies and case-based studies on the key topics set-out to contribute to support the development of our expertise on defence and security sector corruption and the overall achievement of our strategic objectives
• Collect and analyse secondary data, and produce primary data as needed, to provide new insights into corruption risks in the defence and security sectors
• Contribute to high quality research tasks across the work conducted through the Government Defence Integrity Index (GDI)
• Undertake detailed rigorous review and fact-checking of GDI country assessments and sources from a variety of experts, including assessors, peer reviewers, government reviewers, and institutional partners
• Review GDI assessment process and provide suggestions for improvements in methodology

• Strong analytical skills with experience in qualitative and mixed-methods research. Experience in quantitative analysis and applying rigorous fact-checking and source validation.

What could my day look like?

The Education Worker role is a frontline, fast-paced and rewarding role where no two weeks will look the same. A typical day will have different activities, possibly spread between the IntoUniversity centre, partner schools and the offices of a corporate partner.

In the morning, you might be setting off with resources to run a workshop for sixth-form students in their secondary school. In the afternoon you may be setting up the classroom ahead of running Primary Academic Support for young people in your IntoUniversity centre. On other days, you may be travelling to a corporate partner to run a business simulation workshop for 15 year-olds or leading a group of final year primary school students on a campus visit for their graduation.

As an Education Worker, you’ll always be delivering the programme as part of your centre team, which means that any delivery is always a team effort. 

Salary

£15,069 - £17,400 (22.5 hours per week) per annum (£25,115 – £29,000 per annum full time equivalent (FTE) for 37.5 hours per week) – pending salary review in April 2026.

Contract

Fixed term, funded by the National Lottery, until 31st March 2030.

The opportunity

We are recruiting two part-time Project Officers to support the Together for Tomorrow Project, a five-year National Lottery-funded programme supporting grassroots climate action across Devon. Working in close partnership with Libraries Unlimited, you will support delivery to new and established grassroots groups who are working, or seek to work, with libraries, helping communities to develop practical climate initiatives and inspiring libraries to become active sustainability hubs.

You will support the creation of toolkits, training and new activities, while also supporting monitoring and reporting. The role blends hands-on delivery and behind the scenes support to groups.

This role sits within the CAG (Community Action Groups) Devon team, a network that supports community groups to take action on reuse, repair, food waste, composting, biodiversity and wider sustainability issues. CAG provides the tools and support that groups need to thrive, including training, resources, and opportunities to connect with others. Your role will contribute to the consolidation of the network and its membership across Devon. 

The role can be worked flexibly across 3 days a week. This will include some work during evenings and weekends.

You will be expected to travel widely across Devon, and this will be reimbursed. Whilst we promote public transport where possible, due to the rural nature of the county a current full driving licence with own transport, and necessary business use insurance, or ability to travel easily around Devon County is required.

What you will be doing 

Day to day project support 

· Helping groups run initiatives and activities at libraries, and at other community spaces, supporting with event planning and engaging diverse audiences.

· Supporting groups to set up and get started, or to develop new activities. 

· Responding to enquiries from CAG groups and other organisations. 

· Co-ordinating training and events.

· Attending CAG events and planning meetings.

· Building and maintaining partnerships with grassroots groups, libraries and underrepresented communities. 

· Assisting with group and event risk assessments, insurance documents, safeguarding policies and other related administration. 

· Creation and dissemination of guides and resources to support the projects. 

Publicity and communications 

· Generating content and building online audiences for social media and CAG Devon’s regular newsletter.

· Assisting groups with effective publicity for their events, including 1-2-1 social media clinics. 

· Producing publicity material, news releases, stories/case studies and articles relating to the Together for Tomorrow Project. 

· Speaking in public about the Together for Tomorrow Project, CAG Devon and the work of its members.

· Working with the CAG team to promote and deliver events.

· Liaising with the wider CAG team to ensure a coherent CAG support offer to grassroots community groups across Devon.

· Working with the Library Unlimited Outreach Officers to promote events.

Administration

· Liaising with and supporting groups, and gathering documentation, as part of the membership joining process. 

· Logging communications with groups and partners in the CAG database. 

· Keeping mailing lists and database up to date.

· Monitoring projects, utilising tools such as Excel, SurveyMonkey and the CAG data collection tool.

· Supporting with quarterly and annual reporting. 

· Assisting the project team with any other administrative tasks that they require. 

· Supporting groups to use the CAG data collection tool, to help them demonstrate their impact.

· Collecting data and testimonials/stories from CAG groups and the general public.

The essentials

· Passion for the community/voluntary sector. 

· Experience of setting up and delivering new initiatives and activities with community groups and volunteers. 

· Experience of social media. 

· Competent IT user, particularly Microsoft packages and web. 

· Previous experience in a role in communications and/or public engagement.

The Human Resources department provides a strategic and operational HR service to the seven National Church Institutions (NCIs) and the 42 Diocesan Bishops' offices. Our HR Operations team focusses on the entire employee lifecycle providing support, advice and guidance to senior leaders, line managers and staff. The Organisational Development team lead on culture, values, wellbeing, development, and our belonging & inclusion strategy. Through our External Service team, we also offer HR support on a consultancy basis to other Church of England organisations including our dioceses and cathedrals.

In this role, you will be the day-to-day HR contact for NCI Staff, supporting both the HR Operations Manager and HR Business Partners. You will be required to meet staff and be a visible HR presence in our London Office.

Undertake and complete a Level 3 CIPD HR Apprenticeship and apply learnings and best practice to the role. You will be mentored by a member of the HR team and support will be offered to fulfil the requirements of the Apprenticeship scheme.

• You will need to have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail, including working with numerical data.
• You will have an enthusiastic, flexible, and highly organised approach to work, with the ability to understand and process high volumes of information.
• You will need experience of using Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel in a work-based context, as well as HR Information Systems (ideally Oracle HCM). SharePoint experience would also be an advantage.
• This role will require the postholder to work from our London office in Westminster London once a week on average (currently Wednesdays).
• This is a fixed-term contract for 18 months.

To meet the apprenticeship entry requirements, you will need to have:

• Academic ability to meet the entry requirements of the Level 3 apprentice course attached to this apprenticeship and to attend and undertake the studying and course work required to complete the course.
• Educated to at least GCSE standard, with GCSE grade 4/C or above in Maths and English (or equivalent) or ability to work towards level 2 Maths and English/GCSE 4/C grade.
