This is a rare opportunity to join our dynamic and successful team as the Head of our Income Generation and Marketing teams. The key role for the Head of Income Generation is to maintain a sustainable level of fundraising and by increasing the income from paid placements through our relationships with Health Trusts and Councils in Merseyside and Cheshire in particular. The postholder will also play a key role in the branding transition to Little Lights Liverpool, managing and overseeing our marketing activities.
We are looking for someone with proven senior-level experience in income generation within the charity, health or care sector, and with a track record of growing income through commissioning or fundraising. You will need to be a strategic thinker with the confidence and compassion needed to build productive relationships and to manage our passionate and hard-working team.
Zoe's Place Baby Hospice was founded in Liverpool in 1995 as the first hospice in the UK specifically providing for the needs of babies and younger children. Our team of specialist nurses and healthcare assistants are supported by a wide range of other healthcare professionals to provide respite care, therapies and bereavement care to babies and children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, and their families.
In late 2024 the people of Liverpool, the Northwest, and even further afield helped us to raise more than £7,000,000 to secure the future of our hospice, and the state-of-the-art new facility in West Derby is under construction.
As work begins on our new hospice facility, our dedicated team continues to deliver specialised care from our existing site, and our team of fundraising, marketing, finance, compliance and administration professionals work hard to keep the charity operating smoothly.

The Fundraising Assistant will be an integral part of a dynamic and unstoppable fundraising department. The role will be a chance for someone to learn about all types of fundraising whilst meeting with a diverse range of supporters and generating funds for the charity across a range of income streams.

Duties and key responsibilities
Fundraising Support
- Provide administration and operational support across the fundraising team.
- Respond promptly and professionally to fundraising enquiries via post, email, and phone, offering support, guidance and thanking donors and fundraisers.
- Develop excellent and enduring relationships with current and potential supporters.
- Send fundraising materials (including t-shirts, information packs, etc.) to supporters.
- Support challenge event fundraising by stewarding fundraisers, providing logistical support and administrative duties.
- Support the delivery of community campaigns, concentrating on the innovative fundraising elements, and providing stewardship to fundraisers.
- Support the planning and delivery of campaigns and special events and provide on the day support.
- Provide research support across the whole fundraising team, which may include researching corporates, trusts and foundations and community fundraising opportunities.
- Keep up to date with the work of the charity and communicate this to supporters in a compelling manner.
- Represent Sarcoma UK at events as required.
Administrative Support
- Monitor the fundraising section on Sarcoma UK’s website, ensuring all fundraising pages are kept up to date and relevant.
- Produce regular reports on fundraising activities, including data from JustGiving, Enthuse, and GoFundMe, ensuring accurate tracking and evaluation.
- Work with the database and fundraising teams to evaluate and analyse fundraising activities.
- Contribute to the smooth running of the organisation, assisting with general office and digital administrative tasks and ensuring processes are followed consistently.
Stock and Online Shop
- Monitor Sarcoma UK’s online shop, and ecommerce platform. Ensuring it is regularly updated with accurate product listings and that orders are processed efficiently, meeting supporter expectations.
- Assist with maintaining external storage unit and keeping records of the contents.
- Liaise with suppliers, process orders, and ensure smooth fulfilment of orders.
- Research and create new merchandise and fundraising materials, keeping up to date with new trends and ensure offering is fresh and innovative.
Other
- Maintain accurate and up to date supporter records on Sarcoma UK’s database (Raiser’s Edge).
- To undertake all duties in line with the Sarcoma UKs policies, procedures and regulations ensuring that the work.
- The post holder will be working in a developing environment, and they will therefore be required to undertake other appropriate duties as necessary for the efficient operation of Sarcoma UK.

Fundraising and Communications Officer
Location: Temwa office, Bristol

Temwa is a Bristol-based international development charity partnering with remote communities in Malawi to end poverty and create lasting change. Role Overview
As the Fundraising and Communications Officer, you will play a pivotal role in growing Temwa’s income and visibility. You will coordinate, organise or support challenge events, individual fundraising campaigns, manage events, and deliver compelling communications that inspire action. You’ll work closely with the Fundraising & Communications Manager, UK and Malawi teams, and volunteers to support both income generation and brand engagement strategies.
This is a varied and creative role for a driven communicator who’s confident with events, social media, donor stewardship, and marketing.
Key Responsibilities
Fundraising & Events

Plan and support individual giving campaigns and donor appeals.

Coordinate fundraising events including challenge events, team events, and Temwa’s annual Christmas Party.

Organise and coordinate Temwa’s presence at Festivals (about 2 a year)

Support recruitment and engagement of volunteers for events and festivals.

Assist with logistics, ticketing, donor communications and supporter care.

Stewardship and support for challenge event fundraisers.

Support donors and event participants with materials, guidance, and encouragement.

Sourcing prizes for events and liaising with suppliers.

Coordinating ad hoc events.

Marketing & Communications

Manage and implement Temwa’s content calendar, ensuring regular updates across all channels.

Create high-quality, engaging content for social media, newsletters, and the website.

Work with the Malawi team to gather case studies and impact stories.

Develop and distribute digital and printed marketing materials for events and appeals.

Support Temwa’s PR and media presence by developing press contacts and press releases.

Monitor analytics and evaluate the success of communication and campaign activities.

Maintain and update Temwa’s website using CMS tools such as WordPress.

Ensure consistent application of brand guidelines across all public communications.
Administrative

Maintain and update the CRM (eTapestry).

Regularly monitor the Temwa info email and either reply or forward to the correct contact within the team.

Person Specification
Essential

Proven experience in fundraising, marketing or communications (employment or voluntary).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
