Job description

Want to join Vista’s friendly fundraising team?  We are looking for someone ambitious who wants to take a lead on the creation and submission of a portfolio of trust and grant applications to achieve financial targets in line with our growth plans.

If you have demonstrable experience in writing or securing income from trusts, foundations and grants this role is for you.

You will be required to work 30 hours per week, flexibly Monday to Friday with the requirement to work occasional weekends and some unsocial hours to meet service needs.

In this role you will;

  • Support the fundraising and Partnerships Manager to work with multiple teams and maximise the current and future income generated from grant making trusts
  • Research, cultivate and secure new funding from trusts and foundations to reach income targets
  • Submit funding applications to a wide range of charitable trusts
  • Develop and support relationships from a portfolio of new and existing trusts and foundations

With exceptional research and creative writing skills, you will be proactive in developing consultations, and write compelling bid applications to a wide variety of trusts and foundations.

It is an exciting time to join a pivotal team within the organisation, with ambitious targets for the year ahead.  This would be a great opportunity for an energetic professional looking for a challenge to build on our success.

We are very keen to find the right candidate for this role and can be flexible in working arrangements.

We offer excellent health benefits, a defined contribution pension scheme and access to an employee assistance programme.

Working for Vista means you will be working for one of the oldest and largest local charities in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, working with people with sight loss and their families
