We are seeking a resourceful, proactive, and organised person to support our fundraising activities. This role will be integral to the growth and development of our work, supporting the children and young people with Down’s syndrome and their wider networks.

Hours:

17.5 hours per week (the post holder will also be required to work very occasional evening and weekends, for which time off in lieu will be offered)

Salary:

£ 26,000 - £28,000 FTE per annum – depending on experience

Location:

Central Maidstone Office, ME14 1HH. There may be flexible working options and home working available on request.

About the role:

This new role will be part of a management re-structure and the successful applicant will have an active part in shaping the future of the charity. This is your chance to really make and impact and make the role your own.

The post will focus on delivering the fundraising strategy with particular emphasis on raising money from Corporates and individual giving. It will also lead and shape the marketing approach to this small, but thriving charity.

About you:

The ideal candidate will be proactive and self-motivated to achieve success, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will be experienced in charity fundraising. You will have experience in communication management, as well as the design and execution of suitable communication material. You will have had demonstrable success at engaging people to a cause and motivating giving.
