Born out of the COVID-19 crisis, DLAG is now one of London’s most dynamic community support networks. We’ve mobilised over 3,000 volunteers to deliver food parcels, household essentials, digital access, and more to thousands of people across Merton, Wandsworth and Kingston.

About the Role
We're looking for a proactive and skilled Communications and Fundraising Coordinator to lead the delivery of our comms and fundraising strategies. You'll work alongside a passionate team of staff and volunteers to grow our impact and help drive support for DLAG’s life-changing work.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment and wants to play a vital role in strengthening local communities.
Responsibilities
- Develop, schedule and deliver marketing plans and social media campaigns
- Prepare and distribute fundraising and donor materials (e.g. newsletters, raffle collateral, digital campaigns)
- Administer JustGiving and Enthuse platforms for campaigns and events
- Coordinate the production of marketing assets with volunteer graphic designers
- Create monthly impact reports and manage marketing dashboards
- Oversee the CRM/database — adding donor, school and corporate contacts
- Support event planning and donor recognition activities
- Line-manage the Volunteer Fundraising Administrator and Newsletter Editor
- Report directly to the Director and work collaboratively with the volunteer marketing team
- Research areas of greatest need in our three boroughs to ensure we continue to reach out to these communities

We're looking for a Content Designer to research, structure and write user-centred content for Tearfund's channels. This includes Tearfund's website, email, advertising, social media and print channels. We value effective collaboration at Tearfund, so you won't be working in isolation. Instead, you will collaborate with Marketing, UX Design, Graphic Design and Subject Matter Experts to create user-centred content that helps raise income to support Tearfund's work around the world. You'll be familiar with using evidence and data to write and optimise content, as well as running workshops to map user journeys and review content as part of the content production process.
Our successful candidate will have:
- Proven track record of high quality copywriting and/or significant editorial experience
- A clear understanding of content design best practice
- Experience using data and insights to write user-centred content and user journey maps
- Confidence running workshops and championing content design best practice
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

Overview of the role:
- Support the delivery of our quarterly campaigns by working with the team to create engaging and exciting content.
- Act as a brand champion ensuring branding and messaging is consistent and accessible.
- Contribute to the organisation and planning of events throughout the year.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Coordinate campaign and ad hoc content creation
- Work with the Therapy Communicator to obtain content from the therapy team and ensure content adheres to our values.
- Work with the Campaign Supporter (content designer) to ensure graphics are ready ahead of time.
- Draft content where needed for the comms team for email, social media and website.
- Ensure all content is accessible and on brand including writing alt text.
- Keep Monday . com up to date with progress.
- Schedule content across different platforms.
- Events coordination
- Contribute to the organisation and planning of events throughout the year, including coordinating logistics, leading on promotional materials, and supporting on-the-day activities as needed.
Person Specification
We are looking looking for an efficient, well-organised, enthusiastic person to join the team with the following qualities.
- Be able to work independently and with initiative when needed.
- Have experience creating and writing content for different communications platforms.
- Have strong communication skills as you will be required to work with different teams across the organisation
- Be able to multitask and prioritise.
- Experience with the following software/platforms is desirable but training can be given; Canva, MailChimp and Monday . com.
Salary and hours
- Salary: £28,000 per annum, full time equivalent (this salary is consistent with our organisational pay structure). We would consider a freelancer.
- Part time: 16 hours per week.
- Fixed term, maternity cover contract for 9 months.
- The role holder has autonomy to create a working schedule that fits their needs. We do require at least 4 hours on a Monday as that is a core working day. The remainder of the working hours can be worked flexibly across the week in business hours.
- This is a remote role.
- There are 2-3 meetings a year that could be attended in person if that suited the role holder but can be attended online.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Communications and Events Coordinator lead the development and delivery of Khulisa’s communications strategy and key campaigns, designed to engage our supporters, stakeholders, and the wider UK public.
About Khulisa:
Khulisa, meaning 'nurture' in the Zulu language of South Africa, is an award-winning charity dedicated to providing therapeutic support to young people. We focus on reaching those who are most at risk – young people from deprived communities who are often marginalized, vulnerable to exclusion, and at heightened risk of becoming involved in crime.
Our approach centres on safe, exploratory methods that aim to understand behaviour and experiences often rooted in trauma, abuse, and neglect. We deliver intensive therapeutic programs within educational and community settings, empowering young people to confront the underlying causes of their emotional distress and work toward healing. To create lasting, sustainable change, we also work to establish trauma-informed environments around young people by equipping parents, caregivers, educators, and other professionals with the tools they need to offer effective, supportive care. Currently, our services are active in London and Manchester.
About the role:
This role will be a key part of helping to raise awareness of Khulisa’s mission and the issues we address, strengthening support for our programmes. The postholders will also take ownership of planning and delivering all Khulisa events, ensuring they are impactful and well-executed.
- Develop and deliver Khulisa’s Communications and Branding Strategy in line with the strategic plan.
- Lead public engagement campaigns to raise awareness, promote youth voice, and drive participation.
- Plan and manage events, including fundraising and challenge events, from concept to delivery.
- Create and manage digital content across social media, website, newsletters, and other channels.
- Recruit and supervise volunteers to support communications and event-related activities.

The post holder will be required to work from home permanently but be willing and able to easily travel to various locations across the London and the North West as necessary to fulfill the requirements of the role and to engage with stakeholders and colleagues.
What we're looking for:
1. Abilities/Experiences
- Experience in digital campaigning and digital content creation.
- Experience of planning and delivering events, including fundraising events, liaising with partners, suppliers and colleagues.
- Excellent written, copywriting and editing skills and proven ability to communicate campaigning messages in a compelling, succinct and engaging way.
- Experience creating digital content for a variety of audiences, including experience of using a range of digital software and tools, and knowledge of message testing and optimisation.
- Experience in designing popular, results-oriented and successful campaigns.
- Ability to use design software (such as InDesign, Canva, Photoshop and Illustrator).
- Experience working within a close-knit team in a busy and fast paced working environment.
- Demonstrable ability to plan and prioritise own workload with minimum supervision.
- Ability to buy strongly into strategic objectives and reflect passion for Khulisa’s work with and for young people.
- Experience of using Salesforce or similar CRM system as well as all-in-one marketing platform such as
- Mailchimp to deliver effective long-term public engagement.
- Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends when required.
2. Qualifications
- Relevant qualification in Project Management, Events Management or Communications, or equivalent years of experience.
3. Knowledge/Skills
- Knowledge of relevant software and digital tools to deliver effective long-term public engagement and digital fundraising campaigns.
- Strong knowledge of WordPress or similar website builder.
- Knowledge of best practice in digital fundraising.
